Hi everyone. Susie here from Minnesota, zone 4b. I am a little late with my mid July garden tour, but the wind has not been cooperating. We were supposed to get some storms later in the morning today, but guess what. I got nothing. Not even enough to settle the dust. It looked promising and then nothing. We had high 90's and lots of wind early in the week, which dried everything out. I really don't want to water, but my shade gardens are really struggling. My cottage garden is doing great though. Happy gardening and hope you enjoy!

Such a relaxing, enjoyable video Susie 🥰 Yes it's very important to sit back and enjoy the fruits of our labour👍 There's nothing as rewarding as after a hard day's work in the garden just sitting back in our comfy garden chair with a cup of coffee and relaxing in the beauty we've created 😊

I just want to comment to thank you for sharing your garden updates. I just love to watch them. Gardeners are my favorite people and There is always so many new things to learn from each other. I also love to garden and make gardening videos too. I just love to video my gardens growth. if you'd ever want to visit my garden I’d love to have you! Let’s learn more from each other as we grow!

Lovely gardens! I also love Baptisia! I do cut it back to the ground, but not until late fall! I love the foliage and the seed pods when they turn black! I am amazed how fast and furious it grows back in the spring! Probably my favorite plant!

You have had a great year in your gardens! Wow! I have really been fighting the rabbits. This is the worse year I have had. 😔 they are chewing up my geraniums, my heuchera...all my plants that are supposed to be rabbit proof. We spray and fence all for naught! Thanks for sharing Susie!

My favorite cucumber varieties are Straight 8, Marketmore and I really liked Eureka this year. Very prolific, but I love cucumbers. Thanks for watching

37:26 is the end of my video, but if it is the tree where I put the container with the Ligularia under it, that is a Pagoda Dogwood Tree, Golden Shadows. Thanks for watching

I have lost 4 cone flowers over the years. I do know they love full sun and really good drainage. They don't like being overly wet. The rabbits seem to like them a lot though. Thanks for watching

When do you usually place your order for caladiums? I was looking on their website and they have so many options! So hard to choose! Do you usually get the jumbo size corms?

I usually get the #1's. They did substitute #2's this year for the Lava Glow. They were out of the #1's of those and they look fantastic. I just planted them a little closer. I order in February or March and they ship the corms when it is the best time to plant out in your zone. Thanks for watching

It is all just beautiful! We got the storm in Wisconsin with some much needed rain so I hope it will rain for you too! Susie do you have a video on planting heuchera from seed? I am having no luck and wonder if the seeds I bought need to be refrigerated. Thank you for yet another wonderful video and I am happy you are taking the time to enjoy it as well 🌷

I got no rain from the storms that were predicted. I did put some trays of heuchera seeds in the fridge for about a month and some I did the normal way. They do take a long time to germinate, maybe about a month. I did have germination both ways, but I had the best germination with the palace purple. I usually start my heuchera seeds in January since they take a long time. Thanks for watching

@@floralnhardy7332 oh I’m sorry you got no rain!! Thank you so much for the heuchera info and I will definitely have to start them in January too then. Do you put a layer of vermiculite on top usually or leave them as is? Sorry for all these questions 😁

@@chrismarchetti-olson6632 Yeah. I always put vermiculite on top of all my seeds I start. Even the ones that say surface sow. Works out great for me

Looks beautiful! I need to start caging my Baptista its just sprawled all over the ground. Im bad about supporting and staking things. Love that day lilly with the hydrengea blooms and then the purple clematis, i think it is in the back, i like those colors together. Also is that eucalyptus in the front by your mums that looks so pretty especially with the purple! Did u start that Eucalyptus from seed?

The hot pink i mean with the Eucalyptus looks great! Also i do love Gaura! I don't know if u watch Garden Answer but she has pink Gaura planted inside a box wood hedge and it just looks so magical.

I have all my Baptisia staked because it does get top heavy. No, I didn't start the Eucalyptus from seed. I bought that plant. Actually, my sister was with and told me to get it. Didn't take much to persuade me. Thanks for watching
