Mid season driver ratings as we rate the drivers out of 10 for the first 12 races. #redbullracing #ferrari #mercedes #haas #sauber #astonmartin #mclaren #alpinef1 #formula1 #williams
Easily the best mid-season driver ratings. The more corporate / mainstream websites and youtube channels give everyone a good rating. Alex Albon, 4, exactly! Max Verstappen and Lando Norris have easily had the beating of the top drivers and Nico Hulkenberg is tearing up the midfield. The ONLY quibble with your ratings is I'd probably give Kevin Magnussen a 4, not a 3. I mean 5 points on the board... in a Haas.. but it's so much less than his team mate.
My top 10 drivers: 1 Verstappen 2 Sainz 3 Leclerc 4 Norris 5 Hulkenberg 6 Alonso (3rd best driver in the first 5 races since then bit average overall) 7 Tsunoda 8 Piastri 9 Russell 10 Hamilton (Only 1 place behind Russell because a lot of drivers have been a lot worse) Mercedes haven't even improved the car much yet they're now competitive. To me this just shows that both drivers were constantly underperforming pre-Canada, especially Hamilton.
@mufcracer8609 I've only put Hamilton in 10th because so many drivers this season have been crap all the time and driving stupidly and causing silly accidents.
Best drivers of 2024 midseason for me are Max on 1, Norris on 2, Hulk on 3. Not a Hamilton-fan, but a 4 is not fair in my view. he's 1 point behind on Russel. Doesnt matter if he's outperformed by Russel if he's only 1 point behind him in the championshio.
Leckerc since Monaco: way clear of Sainz in Canada on race pace, similar, with the engine issue, beat Sainz in a closely matched fight in Spain after allowing himself to be on the better strategy through tyre saving, Austria sprint was just unlucky, went searching for pace after, would have had it, messed up his quali, bad luck at the start (he still started with the top teams, just like Sainz), Silverstone tried getting the update to work, reverted for quali, therefore lacked pace, made up positions before the rain, had terrible pace and a gamble that didn't work. So he still outpace Sainz twice, made few mistakes and got really unlucky. Sainz was better in the first 4 races, than Leclerc for the next 6 and now Sainz for two. With Sainz not doing Saudi that is a 6:5 for Leclerc in the races.
Bottas has been terrible in almost all the races this season and Zhou is useless. That Sauber car is bad but it's definitely better than what the drivers almost always get out of it.
