I wanted to like Bunny so much, but ended up just feeling weirded out by it. 😅 Those Percy Jackson books are stunning~ 🤩🤩🤩 If I ever read the series, I must get those editions! I’ve been wanting to read the series for a while now, but the first book is always checked out at the library and I’ve never wanted to own my own copy because of the lame covers. 😅
Piranesi is definitely an all-time favorite to me. I also reread it recently (last year?) and loved it even more. How to Lose A Time War seems like it impressed you more than it did me but I admit it's a very unique literary scifi. I wonder how the authors do the writing?? (is one Red and the other Blue?) Lol on Perfume being your disappointment. The ending was definitely unhinged. Although I don't remember the author description about the final parts?? Definitely wasn't a hit with me either.
omg yes!!! Piranesi is literally genius. seriously just a gem of a book!! So glad you agree :) I am definitely all about prose so flowery words get me most of the time hahahahah I really immersed myself in How to Lose a Time War with like both audio and physical book so I think that also made it super fun. I think that was how they did it!! I read it... somewhere... I can't remember... unverified information ahahha I'm glad you understand the perfume thing because I keep seeing people love it LMAO it was like literally one page where the main character is like so sad because he doesn't want to be loved he wants to be fear, hated and instead his purpose would never allow that to be the case. his like internal monologue right before is commits his last act at the end of the book. It was easy to miss I'm sure, I was looking for it because I was sooo confused why the execution scene ended like that
I have definitely heard that it is not as good as an audiobook! I haven't had the experience myself but I think the people I know have said they liked the physical reading experience better. I hope that if you do reread it you enjoy it more than the first time!
