omg absolutely do it!! I think even if you don't want to take any of the books you can always just move them to anothe rlibrary where hopefully someone else who will love the will find them!! Its so much fun
I have definitely heard that it is not as good as an audiobook! I haven't had the experience myself but I think the people I know have said they liked the physical reading experience better. I hope that if you do reread it you enjoy it more than the first time!
Yessss this was such an excellent LFL vlog!!! I love how cozy this was! I know filming these can be a B and i LOVE how yall did it you can really see everything!!!! I LOVE the hunt!!!!
ahhh thank you, thats mostly thanks to my sweetheart boyfriend thankfully. He knows how to use my camera better than me tbh. thank you for watching !!! These are seriously so fun, so glad its warm again and easy to go on the hunt !!
Piranesi is definitely an all-time favorite to me. I also reread it recently (last year?) and loved it even more. How to Lose A Time War seems like it impressed you more than it did me but I admit it's a very unique literary scifi. I wonder how the authors do the writing?? (is one Red and the other Blue?) Lol on Perfume being your disappointment. The ending was definitely unhinged. Although I don't remember the author description about the final parts?? Definitely wasn't a hit with me either.
omg yes!!! Piranesi is literally genius. seriously just a gem of a book!! So glad you agree :) I am definitely all about prose so flowery words get me most of the time hahahahah I really immersed myself in How to Lose a Time War with like both audio and physical book so I think that also made it super fun. I think that was how they did it!! I read it... somewhere... I can't remember... unverified information ahahha I'm glad you understand the perfume thing because I keep seeing people love it LMAO it was like literally one page where the main character is like so sad because he doesn't want to be loved he wants to be fear, hated and instead his purpose would never allow that to be the case. his like internal monologue right before is commits his last act at the end of the book. It was easy to miss I'm sure, I was looking for it because I was sooo confused why the execution scene ended like that
I wanted to like Bunny so much, but ended up just feeling weirded out by it. 😅 Those Percy Jackson books are stunning~ 🤩🤩🤩 If I ever read the series, I must get those editions! I’ve been wanting to read the series for a while now, but the first book is always checked out at the library and I’ve never wanted to own my own copy because of the lame covers. 😅
omg I LOVE this concept and absolutely cackled at the opening! I love that you give different recs as his work changed over time as well and not necessarily just his top 3 pieces. I found your channel through brooklynslibrary and so glad that I did! Putting in a request for some Klimt, Schiele or Sydney Long recs 😍
Klimt is a fire recommendation, I will definitely be doing him thank youuuuuuuu. I have never heard of Sydney Long but his stuff is so beautiful omg. Brooklyn is truly a gem and I am really looking forward to checking out your videos!!! will do that very very soon !!! :D
I love doing this! My love and I go on walks around the neighborhood and switch out books for new ones too :) great video I’m glad I found your channel
the little free library giveth and she taketh away hahahah I feel like it's always suuuuuch a gamble whenever doing these. My favorite to find in them is definitely fantasy and non fiction hahaha. But I hope you will find those dark romances too <333 :)
I read The Secret History a couple months ago, and almost DNF’d it, but ended up sticking it out, and now it’s a favourite. Go figure 😅 That vintage looking Anne Rice copy was a lucky find! 😮 On my recent Little Free Library walk, I scored 3 Stephen King books in practically new condition; was super excited, since I’ve been collecting copies from used book stores. 👍🏻 I love LFL’s so much~ ❤
Omg yesss I feel like it's definitely a slower burn kind of book. 😭😭 I know and it's in such nice condition too I'm so happy with. Oh hell yes!! How big is your collection so far?? What do you have ??
@@natalieandcoThe SK collections isn’t that big so far, but it’s a work in progress. I picked up The End of Watch, The Dead Zone and The Institute from the LFL. And already had The Long Walk, Billy Summers, Mr Mercedes, 11/22/63, On Writing, and The Outsider. 👍🏻
@@meganvr1228 oh hell yeah, even tho SK has soooo many books there's still more to collect you got the collection going really well!! I have only ever read Pet Sematary by him, got a recommendation?
@@natalieandcoI’ve only read Carrie and Pet Sematary 😂 But if I read more soon, I will definitely recommend what’s good. I hear 11/22/63 is one of his best, so I’ll probably start out with that. 😊
Omg yes !! I hope you enjoy it more than I did for sure. I have definitely been enjoying thrillers but I feel like I can be so picky about them, the ones I love I really love and the ones I don't like are soo frustrating to me hahaha. I think it's truly a me issue lol 😭
What a fun idea for a video!!! My Dad and I have a book club and he chose Van Gogh: The Life for the July pick... it's a 975 page biography !! Jeez. So I hope to learn a lot more about all these paintings / the artist himself!! With regard to the books, I haven't read any of these but I'm more interested in getting to The Secret History b/c I know it's such a modern classic.
Thank you sooo much for watching I appreciate you!!! :) omg yes !! I've been wanting to pick that one up so badly but it is definitely intimidating hahahaha. I am thinking of picking up Van Gogh's compiled letters to his brother first before I get to that one though. I'd love to know what you think after you finish it. I know, i feel like it really is an essential reading in some ways hahaha
I read We Spread recently too. I thought it was okay. I have read I'm Thinking of Ending Things as well but was not a fan 😭 Hoping that I will love Foe when I end up picking it up Yaaas the Inheritance Games! The first book was a kind of slay. Kind of reminded me of Knives out 15:50 😭😭😭 sooo cute! 20:14 PERIOD!! It was so much fun chatting with all of you!! thank you for joining us for the buddy read!! I miss the Bunnyathon so much 😭😭😭
omgggg nooooo, Reid's stuff always sounds soooo interesting so that's sad to hear. Yes definitely knives out vibes!! I just finished the second one and honestly enjoyed that one even more. We will see how the second one goes. My literal Prince, he is the ruler of my world. Thank you and Tofucado for throwing such a wonderful readathon. I seriously enjoyed every moment of it <3
