Although I think the first house is amazing, I have always hated/been skeptical of renovated homes, especially at that scale. Am ok with maybe renovating the kitchen and bathrooms but once they start changing rooms and knocking stuff down, I would rather do it myself. And what I mean is I would rather not buy the home altogether as I don't like the idea of renovations. I like knowing what am getting myself into atleast at a high level.
The first home was very beautiful and nicely upgraded while still keeping its character. Nowadays, a newly built home means the interior has LVP flooring and carpet and comes with an astronomic price tag.. it seems as if buyers are willing to sacrifice quality materials so long as the aesthetics gives the impression of quality..
I liked #1 the best, though I thought all 3 of these were great options. House 3 is heavy on the contemporary, but it has a fantastic master bath and I could live with the finishes until I had time and money to renovate
That 1st house was really pretty. Nice curb appeal from the outside, a beautiful kitchen, and that tree house is a nice bonus. Not your typical cookie cutter home plus no HOA fees and the ¹cheapest.
We bought a new build house in an HOA about 6 years ago. We hated it. The house was cheaply built and had lots of problems. Other people in the neighborhood had leaky roofs that caused a lot of damage. We sold it and bought a house built in 1985. Compared to the new build this one is a rock.
❤☺️I want that first 🏡 for myself the price tag and look was a ,I'll take it😅, it even felt like it was a great fit for them but oh well, I hope whomever gets that home loves it like I would.. The Best to the both of them
I can't believe he called the first one "decent" it was beautiful!! And for that price? The sunroom? Treehouse?? I wouldn't even have bothered looking at the other houses.
If you ever want a style of house that'll be like 1900 sq ft and you're serious about it, never look at the contemporary 3200 sq ft house with a basement. lol, you're definitely going with the big house with the dope basement.
I'm an American and I'm embarrassed at how entitled everyone is. Nothing can be functional or useful, it has to be perfect and totally renovated. Contractors are the richest people in the country. OMG, it's been three years since we renovated!! We're so outdated!!! The horror!!!
I never understand comments like this. Not everyone wants to spend their weekends making repairs. People are spending a lot of their own money, why can’t they have preferences?
Regarding HOAs: Joey is right. Melinda is wrong. Why should anyone pay anyone else to tell them what they can and cannot do with their own home? HOAs are terrible. They have killed the enjoyment of home ownership for millions of Americans and have driven entire neighborhoods into a charmless and nightmarish sameness. If you want monotony, get an apartment in an apartment complex. Regarding the "dated granite" in the brand new home: LOL, dated granite! Oh, the problems of the First World!
#1 is NOT a mid-century modern. It was built in the middle of the last century, and it’s been modernized. But the style is most definitely not mid-century modern. Having lived in an Eichler, I know what a mid-century modern is.
👏🏽Adorable couple ❤ She has great wardrobe styles as well. I'm also a plant lover and could see her vision. 😅🪴 I must have missed something though. Where is this located?
