This helped me so much thank you, I was having a hard time because this is my first time playing and no one told me where to stand as a middle blocker, so thank you so much!

Facts, I would ask the people who were getting annoyed by me where to stand and they'd just say it's not hard.

as a setter, this video helps my understanding of how to use my middles more effectively on each rotation

A problem I encounter is when the pass gets in the middles transition path. The middle can’t see it because they’re so focused on transitioning to their spike approach, they end up getting in the way of the setter - any advice? (other than pass better 😅)

Love that you went deeper into the middle blocker stuff! As for suggestion, I'd like to see anything about covering (I belive that is what it's called) while your teammate attacks. I know it's kind of high-end compare to some stuff we see here, but as you are covering (not intended) both the basics and the advanced techniques, I'd say that might be useful for everyone. And since we already learned where to be on defense and receive - why not close the subject ;)

One key to covering your hitters is to stay low and pay attention. Seriously, it's not enough to just be there and not focusing on where the ball and defenders are. In other words, you need more than just muscle memory, you need to have mental focus. Oh...and if the set is real tight to the net, get ready because the defense is going to blaock the hitter.

Hey Coach Donny! I was wondering what kind of warm ups/practice you have your players do when your not around for a short time? And thank you so much for your video's! they have helped me improve in my knowledge of the game and as a volleyball player, thanks!

Thanks for the video. Middle blocker is a position I've struggled with and didn't have a clear picture of where and when to be in various places. Thus far I haven't played it much myself, but it will be useful to at least guide players just as clueless as myself out of blocking me from setting. I think my previous attempts to search for a video like this failed because I was querying for "footwork" instead of "transition". Drats!

Your videos are amazing... Very well explained, step-by-step and so easy to understand... You verbalise it, you show the graphics and then a real example using a volleyball match, highlighting the person and using slow motion... Your didactic presentation is AWESOME. Thanks so much for that! 😃😃😃😃

Do more of these! And make a video about stretching and warm-up routines please! I've seen Josh Barrina's video about warm-up as well.. do you do anything different? Is it worth making another video?

Loved this video! Thanks for your work once again. I have a question coach: Why are leftside hitters better-rounded players than rightside? I have noticed this in other places and specially on your explanation rotation (+ the video of course), the left side hitters are both put in receiving position while the rightside hitters are covered. I am really interested in this topic because I'm currently deciding between both positions besides libero and I'm wondering which would be better. Plus to help my team. Grateful for this channel, teacher!

All those transitions are for 5-1 set, yes ? :D By the way, you could make video about all those 4-2 5-1 and 6-2 sets with explainantion of all team rotations etc :D That would be great. And GREAT work coach!

You make a very clear rotational error at 6:00. The setter needs to have his outside foot closer to the left side line than the guy in the yellow jersey. Perhaps not the best example to showcase.

Coach Donny, I'm 20, 5'4" and when I jump I have one shoulder above the net. Can I still improve my jumping vertical or should I practice my approach because to be honest I don't have a good approach when a ball is present.

ameer syahiran only if part of the ball is below the net. The 3m (10 foot line) extends beyond the sideline, even if it is not marked in the floor with paint or tape.
