I agree 100%. I have been to over 200 concerts, and this band and Red Sun Rising are tied for intensity and just the effort put forth during their live performances. unbelievable honestly.
My first introduction to these guys was absolutely surreal: I was at a music festival and a different band I liked ended. It was quiet, but not long after the first band these guys began playing this song, thumping those few notes like a heartbeat. Eventually they added more to it until his unique voice echoed throughout. More and more people gathered to listen. Then once he got to the heavy guitar "I AIN'T DEAD YET!" everyone went absolutely nuts. To this day, it's one of the best buildups of live music I've ever seen. I still every once in a while listen to their music.
saw them last night. Touring with a five piece, sound was huge. Stood right next to the stacks in front, still have nothing but ringing in the right ear...totally worth it. Go see this band. GO SEE THIS BAND! seriously...don't be a drip...
just saw them last night @ pub rocks in scottsdale. been to a lot of shows in my day & this was THE best ever. so unusual to be better live but they rocked it hard
I was able to see this band in their first six months. They opened in Sacramento (MC Rut's home) for a band I liked (Dredg if you're curious). Was the first concert outside my town I went to (had just turned 16/got license). It was fantastic to see such a good, unknown band. Bought their first EP there--it had just been printed a week or two earlier. Had forgotten about them til I heard this song as a backtrack in a video a few minutes ago. Their drummer is fucking awesome. Such great energy.
Middle class rut you got talent trippy jams i want encores keep writing best music still unwritten i sing along with dygierdoo headrush is free trying to keep up and never had one lesson....
Yeah they're from my hometown and I saw them here in Sac. I didn't even know who they were but their show was so damn good I didn't even know that they didn't have a bass player.
They toured briefly with alice in chains in 2009ish and 2010. But MC Rut haven't been around for 20 years. Maybe you are thinking about the other 2 piece grunge band called Local H.
apparently most people do not have music tastes. has rock and roll been locked in a closet to get banged in the ass by the billboard charts? is everyone listening to billboard shit? this should have at least 25 million views. its epic, brilliant and fuck me It's rock and roll.
The blue thing is called an Ebow. It sends an electrical pulse that causes the strings to sound and sustain as long as you hold it there. Like pulling a bow across a violin, hence the name Ebow. Pretty cool.
