I didn't ask for this I didn't plan for this Don't got a can to piss in At the end of this day This day The world in the background Dirt on my back now The life that I wanted Got lost somehow some way Some way You're never gonna live this down The whole world's against you now The fortunate ones will win The weak ones will just give in But the years have left me cold And my heart it feels so old I hope for a better end They may have got me to bend But I won't break Workforce death stare Government welfare The bottom line sinks As the hand works to their bones For this home And all I can think is Where did I go wrong? And all I can say is Why do I feel so led on? And so weak You're never gonna live this down The whole world's against you now The fortunate ones will win The weak ones will just give in But the years have left me cold And my heart it feels so old I hope for a better end They may have got me to bend But I won't break Restless life I live Restless life I live Restless life I live Restless life I live You're never gonna live this down The whole world's against you now The fortunate ones will win The weak ones will just give in But the years have left me cold And my heart it feels so old I hope for a better end They may have got me to bend But I won't break
During 2021 & '22 I was a member of the working homeless. The VA got me on section 8 housing and I got the nicest apartment I've ever lived in During my 42 years on this earth, just this past November. If it weren't for bands like this that reminded me I wasn't alone, with their lyrics of solidarity. I might have killed myself. I absolutely love theses guys! It's like every lyric, every note, every drum beat recognizes my pain! To those who are still struggling for basic necessities. You are not forgotten. I love you! And I give back by volunteering whenever I can.
