Hey guys! I just made another video that I put in the description and as a card at the end of this video with some additional information that is mostly about the weapon and its usage in the game along with answers to some FAQs! If you have any trouble farming please refer to the video and the comments in this section as there are some awesome people with great advice that should help you shorten the time needed to get this sword! Thank you for watching and hope you have a nice day full of dead uruks! :D
@@gvamgaming4192 it got the name "Mightdrinker" 35 might gain on a ground execution and 30 health recovery on an execution. im new to the game so no idea if it could be good for any special builds or how it would be used most efficiently :P
Finallyyyyy I’ve been working on getting this for weeks. I will say there is potentially more to it. Obviously anyone can get it randomly but there are things to keep in mind if you absolutely want to increase the chance of getting it. 1. Have the finisher he’s talking about in the video 2. Make sure you finish the orc with this finisher 3. Make sure the orc isn’t elemental(ngl tho I can’t quite remember if that mattered to me bc I may have gotten it just today off a fire, can’t remember. But in general avoid elements) 4. The same goes for you, DONT wear anything that causes an elemental effect 5. Also don’t cause elemental effects(example being don’t use the frozen stun ability or anything that causes elements to proc. 6. LASTLY BUT NOT LEAST! Do not do anything that could cause the orc to be dazed or aggrieved. No one told me this one for the last few weeks and today I tried everything else but now without dazing or ticking the orcs off and boom! Got it within the first 10 or so tries I believe.
last step is confusing. it seems like only you can do the finisher if theyre on the ground from being dazed or whatnot ive been doing this for an hour and havent gotten the sword
@@Jmasdoni if you can, try to decrease the HP using only Glave attacks, disable the frost, fire, poison attacks. It helps if you could do it during elven rage. Then kill him using
I’m gonna try to get this at level 73 but wish I would’ve known about this sword earlier lol. If you got this at like level 20 or 30, it would be an absolute game changer. What I saw someone doing in a video was he’d use the Wrath ability and then spam the non-upgraded Elven Light on as many grunts and captains as he could, and it would just insta-fill the wrath bar. Now, this was at the end game so the nazgul wrath ability drains a bit slower than the early game blue Elven Rage ability. But I’m sure it still works nonetheless if you spam the elven light on big crowds. Because his ability was draining super slow, and regular sword attacks don’t drain wrath at the end game, dude was just absolutely decimating Captain after Captain after Captain by spamming the Glaive swing. I must admit in all my years of playing I really never used the Glaive attack for any reason, but now I see in the end game it’s one of the best things to use against high immunity captains. With the Wrathgiver glitch for infinite wrath? It’s ludicrous what I saw the guy do lol, just swinging endlessly with the Glaive cutting through their health like butter 😂
worked 2024. this method got me a wrathgiver when before i played this game back in the day i did everything to get one and never got one. got one in 20 mins because they simply dropped non swords at first. ty for this. +1
@@geraltrivia2124 I think you can but meeting up with an Olog who breaks your sword is slim though. They only do it once in a while but I guess still doable if you have much patience. Kudos on upgrading it to level 87 though. That's pretty high. I think the highest mine is is 84, maybe 85. I'd be so happy to get an Olog to break mine higher but have to confess I don't have the patience for that.
I found that farming Death threats is much easier in Gorgoroth bcs u can run to the tower behind grunts without agrroing them if youre fast enough + there are more worms around than in Nurnen
I FINALLY GOT IT AND KNOW EXACTLY HOW!!! I tried for WEEKS to get it and it seemed out of reach. I finally finished the shadow wars and figured that would help as the weapon is rare and maybe by some sick tease, you couldn't get it until after. The method with the furry ground finisher works. All items I noticed are given not only based on how you finish the orc but it seemed that the game would give me epic gear also based on what I WAS WEARING as well. I put on more items that would build wrath such as armor which builds 3 wrath per hit and a dagger with gain 20 wrath per stealth kill. Basically, I was trying to tell the game I want to build wrath. I ground execution THE FIRST death threat with this method only after completion of shadow wars and it was the first sword I got. Before this I got 12 humiliator swords and every other super rare epic.
I am glad you got the sword and congratulations but the shadow wars don't really matter :) I got one as soon as i left minas ithil at the start of the game! :) As for the other stuff, i really don't know and neither does the rest of the community, only the devs know and they aren't talking 😂
I got my wrathgiver yesterday from an epic poisonous orc who ambushed me. Killed him using multiple brutal executions during ringwraith and ground execution for the final killing blow. I also got poisoned by him during ringwraith. I was surprised to see the drop was wrathgiver.
The ringwraith executions are not neccessary at all though! I never used them in my farm! I myself got my latest wrathgiver from a poisonous slaughter epic who ambushed me and i poisoned and cursed him xD the rules are kinda crazy with the drop and can be influenced but luck also plays a lot into it :) tnx for watching though!
I apologize for the few little skips in the recording, the ps recording software has that bug and its very annoying but the explanation itself should be clear! If you have any questions, feel free to post them here! :)
Nice tutorial, thanks. Got mine in like 3 hours. Also got 3 another swords during the farm. So if another sword dropped, not Wrathgiver, just keep trying
Yeah i just tried like 10 times. Isolated all the others and killed them, then killed him using the method mentioned. Got a cape, dagger, ring, and when sword dropped......no wraithgiver! I'll keep trying. Uploader should mention that, talking like its first drop rate which it clearly isn't!
Got it after 50 or more tries. I got it on gorgoroth and if you can't get it after a million times in nuren just try gorgoroth and try to kill a captain who is a dark captain or a machine one. Hope you get it easily
I know this might come across as strange, but your voice is absolutely lovely. You’re so clear, articulate and come across as a lovely guy. Thanks for the help :)
That didn't come across as strange at all! You made my day with this and thank you so much! (even though I wouldn't agree about my voice and articulation 😂) I am really glad something I made helped you out and I hope you have a wonderful day! :)
I got it first attempt doing it your way but the orc I did it on had an element. I did it on a Epic Cursed Marksman Orc and got it first try luring the orc to the top of the tower. Once at the top I used the method that others recommended so full wrath go into Ringwraith then Brutal execute 3 times. After that I used Shadow Strike to get him down to the ground and use the skill you recommended to ground execute him and I got the sword. I couldn't believe it after literally farming it over 2-3 days using other youtubers methods. I really appreciate it thanks for ending my suffering I almost quit farming it.
Wow! I'm so happy this worked for you! Thank you for watching and have some fun for me! I will be honest though, i never did the brutal executions or used ringwraith while farming this and always got it in like 5- 15 tries :D
Yo thanks m8 idk if you will see my comm but you helped me a lot been farming for 2h got frustrated and closed the game when i saw this vid and all the good comments decided to try it out and got it 1st try by:pulling him to me on the tower for a 1v1 then put him dow with the bow and smacked him until low hp then popped the elven rage and killed him with the skill and got it 1st try thanks :)
Really thx for this method !!! ❤❤❤ first I was thinking there is no working method... But I've tried yours and after many hours and tries : IT WORK !!!! Thx bro ! You're the best !!!
@@gvamgaming4192 Ok, but since yersteday night, I got 3 wrathgiver and an Humiliator from fortress 🤣 The wrathgiver is pretty strong but the humiliator have strange use ! I think, they're many strong possibilities ! I will try new builds with it !
Thank you! I have a few questions though. 1. What gear did you use while farming for this? 2. What difficulty are you on? 3. Are there any skills we should avoid using? I got two executioners using your method, but I haven't been able to find a Wrathgiver at all, even after an hour of farming.
Thank you for watching! Glad to make this clearer :) 1. When i got it, i had random gear from leveling so probably not even any legendary! I would avoid the gear that automatically "poisons/sets on fire/curses enemies"! There are a lot of swords and daggers that apply elements automatically and i understand that you shouldnt use elements on the enemy captains. 2.Difficulty is Nemesis but that one doesnt matter in the farming! 3. Like i said, probably avoid skills that use elements or at least disable the upgrades. (Make elven light and power shot just use force instead of fire or poison or frost) I heard you get a lot better chance of getting the sword if you first finish the main questline, but i got it like 3 times before i finished even half of it! So just try to get them down with regular attacks and arrows, maybe even beasts, and kill them with the fury execution! You DON'T need to use the elven wrath ability on the captain in order to get it since i never used it once in my farm. :) If you got any other questions, ask away! Maybe i'll even make a follow-up video with any important things that werent said here :)
@@gvamgaming4192 Thank you so much for the advice!! I've pretty much been following what you've answered, as people on reddit have also suggested doing the same, but I've been unlucky ig 😅. I'm max level btw, but I'll keep grinding. Looking forward to your next video :D
Thank you so much! Do let me know how long it took you to get it :) If you get burnt out, maybe you can stream to me so i can see directly if there is any problem :)
@@gvamgaming4192 Yooo I just got it last night!! it took me around 3 days to grind it, and your video really helped. Also, what else is in your build apart from the Wrathgiver? Thank you so much man!
Congratulations mate! I'm so happy this helped! People can use 2 pieces of the bright lord set to get might much faster but you would need a ring to cancel out the shortening of ringwraith! You can honestly pair wrathgiver with anything since it alone is utterly broken :D
Used this guide. Got some swords but none of them were named wrathgiver so I destroyed them. Tried Nurnen like you said, tried Gorgoroth like a comment said. Didn't work. I killed like 20+ Orcs and was about to call it a day, but I decided to check my swords just to be sure. Nope, only Ranger's Sword and Rohirrim Swords but then I checked their effects. Turns out I am an idiot and Wrathgiver is created by upgrading my Ranger's Sword. So yes, the guide works. Thanks a lot! Got kinda excited about the upgraded version of Rohirrim Sword Executioner since the effect sounds amazing but turns out it's bugged and doesn't work.
Been at this for like two hours, not because it’s not dropping but because whenever I fight the generals they are either surrounded by 20 enemies or another general shows up
So i've been doing this for hours now. I always make sure the fury ground execution does the killing blow. So far I've gotten 3 hoods, 4 chest pieces, 2 daggers, 2 rings, 3 bows, and 0 swords. What am I doing wrong?
Well, sometimes it can just be bad luck honestly... You can go through the comment section and see some got it after a few tries and for some it took the whole day :/ Make sure you dont involve elemental damage since it can drastically reduce the drop chance and keep hoping for the best... Sorry i cannot offer better advice but you can always ask for some tips from other people that did this farm! There is a lot of them in this section alone, and also on the shadow of war subreddit :)
@@Nicole_Auriel Happy to hear you finally got it also. Yeah it can be a bitch most times to get. I myself was trying to get more for a while and like you was getting all other drops besides the sword til I gave up. Then some time after one dropped when I wasn't farming for it. Think it was during an Online Vendetta mission met up with an already Epic captain, happened to kill him with Ground Execution-Fury and when I checked was the very Wraithgiver yes (seen via it's perk). Was so happy. After upgrading was level 82.
I tried a lot of stuff to get it. I think its just a rare random drop but thanks anyway. I am level 69 and killed a level 44 Uruk (he was poisen element) i just hit him with the sword till he was low and finished him with brutal ground execution. If some one struggle and have questions ask me!
Oh i try to reply to everyone as soon as i can :) Only times i don't reply is when i don't have anything to say to contribute to the conversation (or i miss the notification and feel terrible after :/ )
Lol! You are gonna make some people in the comments mad... 😂 Most people have to farm it a bit before getting it, but congrats on the drop! Have some fun for us :)
Finally got it again. I took another commenters advice for changing gear. I kept getting the same "excutions have 25% chance to gain full might" swords so I put on some wrath gear but that didn't seem to work. Then I changed my sword from a extremely good might gainer to a no effect common one and got it on the first sword drop.
@@gvamgaming4192 ah I'm realizing I've been doing it wrong, I've used it all the time during the fights and most captains adapt to counter the finisher
With the Wrathgiver's sword main perk "Gain 10 Wrath on an Execution" you gain the perk "wrath" using the skill Elven Light ("Square" + "X" buttons on Playstation)...once you don't have elemental upgrade selected. Question: With the secondary perk "40 Health Recovery on an Execution" do you get the Health Recovery with the Elven Light skill too or do you have to perform a combat execution (Triangle + "O" buttons on Playstation)?
That is a very good question! I honestly have no idea if that effect also occurs! I don't think so since i think i would remember regaining the whole health bar on every elven light though... I think it doesn't matter much in the end since when you are infinitely in "elven rage" or "ringwraith" mode, you are pretty much an immortal god :D
@@gvamgaming4192 Thanks. Hope you would have known. If it is you don't get it with Elven Light I was considering re-rolling that secondary perk to get the health recovery on critical hits instead I would normally make a lot of those in combat.
Just got wraithgiver finally. Was fri A dark trickster with poisonous weapon. Just spammed him over and over with the fury ground execution until he dropped it.
Hey, congrats! Thank you so much for watching! As for the Mightmender and other Epic gear, unfortunately, the farming methods are unknown... The only method for those that comes to my mind is perhaps getting the discerning eye trait and going on a rampage :D Try online conquests for the fastest farm of captains and destroy them in the garrison for gear (this is especially fast now that you have the wrathgiver :D )
Hey I'm new to the game and I've tried this with no luck. Do I need to farm a captain to epic before I send a death threat. I hope you still check this vid.😂 thanks.
Hello! You don't need many more specifics except for what was in the video :) Just farm epic captains with threats and hope for the best! Some people have bad luck and can't find one for a while but that happens... Remember that you aren't looking for a "Wrathgiver" but for a sword that has a generic name with a bonus of "gain # wrath per execution" which you can then upgrade into a Wrathgiver!
Very helpful video, got the wrathgiver on my first try with your method. Now I just need the starclaimer Rune to finish my build. Do you have any tips on how to get this rune?
Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words! Congrats on the Wrathgiver! As I have seen on the internet, the key to getting that rune is just completing death threats without elemental damage! People say it's really not that rare so you should get it relatively quickly :)
My favorite sword in the game its a captain killer really i personally dnt need wrathgiver because i have a build that always make my wrath full so wrathgiver is not a must the humiliator is a must and is the best sword in the game
Thank you so much! You can contact me on Tiktok, there is also gvamgaming@gmail.com or post it here :D If it is that OP i might have to make a video about it! :)
@@gvamgaming4192 you got it bro u basically have to choose dagger bow armor cloak and ring that give u might or wrath as a cloak u use mask of the general or the mask of empress along with the humilator of course
U use wrathbuilder as armor u get 25% chance to gain 10 wrath when hit use blood dagger to gain 6 wrath on any stealth kill and blood longbow to gain 5 might on any ranged kill mask of the empress enables u to have 33 % more wraith executiin damage and embertamer to gain 3 wrath on every enemy dominated or drained
So is the ground execution all you need to do when killing the captain? Because I’ve seen lots of videos about you needing to be in wrath mode when they die, or not hitting them with elemental weapons. So what you’re saying is all you need to do is killed a normal, non element orc, beat them down in any way and then kill them with the ground execution?
My game was the same.... I figured it all out. I had to finish shadow wars. I also noticed that the game gives me items based not only on how I kill orcs but also on what I was WEARING or had equipped. I put on armor which did 3 wrath gain per kill, a dagger which did 20 wrath per stealth kill, and a ring which was gain 3 wrath per enemy drained. Kinda like telling the game "I want to build wrath so give me it" worked first try...I grinded for 3 damn weeks before doing this.
I would love to but those epics unfortunately don't have a specific way to increase your chances of getting them :/ the humiliator is pretty common though so it shouldn't even need a video and i discovered a lot of people got their favorite epics by just farming captains in online conquests and then destroying them in the garrison for the gear so i would recommend that method :) Thanks for watching and glad to be of help! :)
Thought it would be easy picking the game back up after a couple years a getting this, but I haven't been able to do this without Frosting the enemy when I press A (xbox). Any tips on how to do this without needing to press "A" when the game promps you to press "A" or you'll pretty much die otherwise?
I don't know if it helps but, you can always use your glaive and bow to knock the enemies dowm and/or damage them to the point where you can execute them? Just remember to remove any elemental upgrades on your power shot and elven light and you can use those too! :)
Didn't realize I could use my bow or hammer. Another vid said no ranged attacks and only swords/glaive could be used. I'm assuming I can't use my bodyguard or other uruks as well? I'll try the glasses and bow, thanks!
The important part is not to use elemental attacks! Weapons and other things like uruks and beasts are fine but they CAN screw your farm up by killing the captain before you get the chance which is why I don't usually use them :)
In my experience to get the Wrathgiver sword in 2023, it was with an orc 85 destroyer with no element on the weapon, I didn't hit him with any element, I killed him with a ground execution dagger without potency, with Death threat of course and Discerning Eye skill ON. I have obtained with the max potency another type of sword doing the same, I did not use the wrath. You can do a good combo with the Epic Ring Dark Banner, it reduces the damage of the undead by 50% and increases the wrath by 33%. This sword is only good in sieges where you can recharge the wrath, in 1v1 or when there are few enemies it is not worth it. How to get the Humiliator in 2023, it was with an orc lev 85 epic scorching marksman, it was with a normal execution when using wrath, without Death threat and Discerning Eye skill ON. Humiliator is good in sieges as Wrathgiver, 10 seconds of infinite potency gives you about 3 or 4 executions on another captain. When you are defending point A for example and there are 5 captains around you, with lev 80 and all the gems in damage, it gives you the ability to kill one captain to another almost infinitely. For me the 2 best sword in the game. PD: Sorry if some names are different, I play in another language and translate it as it is written in my language. I hope this mini-guide helps someone to get these 2 op swords.
Certainly tempting! But, I like my current mess of a set! Explosions, explosions, EXPLOSIONS! My poor computer! And I heal from Fire too! But, this sword is quite tempting! A nice secondary I suppose! Let’s see if I’ll find it when I get back to nurnen!
Made sure no 'effect' items were equipped. All killed via fury of blows unless otherwise specified. 1st try: Cloak 2nd try: Armor 3rd try: Dagger 4th try: Bow 5th try: Sword! but is was the "25% chance to gain full might on execution" one 6th try: Ring 7th try: Dagger.. again, also the guy was a no chance lvl 85 sniper with range immunity. Was hell 7.5th try: Bow... tho this one was an olog, killed via back-mounting 9th try: Sword.. but fucking adapted to ground executions on the final blow!!! Wrong sword too. 10th try: Dagger 11th try: Bow 12th try: GOT IT. bout damn time, +10 wrath on execution This doesn't include the 6+ orcs that ambushed me lol.
Tried your method and followed it exactly to your words but whenever I sword drops I only get the Gondorian Sword and for the life of me cannot get a wraithgiver
You may have gotten a bit confused by the game system :) the sword that drops will never have the name "Wrathgiver" at first! You need to do the mission to upgrade the weapon to unlock it's true potential and name! :) Check if any of those swords have the side effect of "gain wrath on execution" and upgrade it to get the Wrathgiver :) Good luck and thanks for watching!
@@gvamgaming4192 killed about 20 captains so far and had 2 Swords drop and neither of them had that perk unfortunately. I'm not using any elements and neither are the orcs, not sure if it's bad luck or if its something else
Oh that is just bad luck unfortunately... Sorry for that, sometimes it takes a bit longer to get it :/ You can check the comment section, some got it on first try while some farmed for a few hours before getting it :)
I have found that the number of executions doesn't matter actually! For the highest chance od it dropping you need to avoid using elements and kill them with the fury GROUND execution :) I suppose the combat executions can do the trick as well but if you want the highest chance of it dropping, you need to do this one :)
@@gvamgaming4192 haha ty man but hey don't u think humiliator is better? Cuz if u r prestige 100 in the story skills u will have ur wraith Everytime u kill someone
I mean, it's pretty hard to get any prestige to 100 to start with 😂 Most people just play a few hours after the shadow wars so they don't get to see it :) Also, i always make the point that, once you enter ringwraith, you have infinite wrath and might so it's really just the best overall :)
when using Fury on a low health captain, sometimes it will do the thing where the orc will go down onto his knee and say something before you do a QTE to execute him. Do I do that or do I need to kill him with fury itself?
You should try your best to get him as low as possible and then use Fury to kill him with it specifically, but you can still get the sword even with the different execution! :)
How did you get the rhovanion variant to drop?? I have gotten 3 of the wrathgivers from this method but non are the rhovanion variants.Thank you loads by the way!!!!
Hey! Sorry i didn't respond sooner but i just discovered the section in youtube studio where some comments just randomly dissapear into "likely spam" and i have to approve them... i have no idea why your comment got in that section and all of the ones in it are just regular questions so that algorythm needs some fixing... I will try to find the sword and find out a method for getting it but most epic gear doesn't have a specific farm like the Wrathgiver and they just drop randomly... Thank you for the question and for watching man!
I am not sure which sword that is... You can try following some additional advice from this comment section though! :) A lot of helpful tips in there and don't forget that the wrathgiver does not have it's name when it drops but you can recognize it by its primary effect of "gain x wrath on execution" :)
