Step into a world of beauty when you visit the Middle Fork Valley of the Snoqualmie River!
The Middle Fork Snoqualmie River is wild, beatufiul, and a gorgeous place to explore year round! Take a short journey to see up close the gem of the Valley! The Middle Fork Snoqualmie River
Just outside of North Bend and less than an hour away from Seattle, this wilderness is too amazing to miss. The Mountains to Sound Greenway has worked tirelessly over the years to protect the Middle Fork and Pratt River Valley and this is the crown jewel of the greenway system. Stretching from Ellensburg to Seattle, the greenway is 1.5 million acres of public land to be cherished. Thankfully the Middle Fork Valley is now a safe and accessible area for outdoor recreation for all ages.
Old growth trees, pristine river water, glorious peaks, and oh yeah! Mountain Goats! Will you get lucky to see them? Maybe! Go early, stay quiet, and wait and you might get to see those beautiful goats! Be cautious though as they have been known to have a temper. Leave them wild and do not offer them/leave food for them. They do just fine without us. I was lucky to see the baby and its momma for about an hour one early winter morning at dawn. It was magical and something I won't forget.
Happy exploring!
