My biggest problem on trail would be trying to take in all that gorgeous scenery, not watching my feet, tripping, falling down a hill and rolling into eternity... heaven.
My face lights up as soon as I hear the intro music...and then I sit peaking through my fingers as you do those "cat walks" on the edges. Nope ! You are all so brave and amazing !
Just when I thought you'd left Pesky far, far behind. Too funny. Beautiful section of the trail. So glad you gave Virgie her trail name, Queen V 93. Perfect!
What a beautiful section of the trail. So glad the rains came and cleared the views for you as it looked like you were on the edge of the incredible “enchantments.” Especially nice to have your friends join you for two sections of the trail and just pick up like they’ve been hiking the entire 1000 miles. Thinking of you as your inspirational videos keep me outdoors and hiking along with you.
I have been watching PCT videos since 2016 and this is the first time I have ever seen this part of the trail. The reason is because most of the videos I watched were shot in late September and October when the weather obscures the views, and because the hikers just wanted to get done and get out of the weather. I appreciate you ladies showing this gorgeous section for the first time! By the time I see your next video you will be done, or almost! Well done!!!
If you haven't watched "Mary Mansfield" you have got to watch her thru hike in 2019, it is listed in her play list as PCT 2019 THRU-HIKE -she flip flopped after finishing CA started WA from the south in August and was blessed with amazing weather and views, she filmed the whole stretch along with it's wildlife and habitat and is a delight to follow! She finished WA then flew down to CA and went northbound through Oregon and encountered some brutal weather but finished when she crossed the Bridge of the Gods! She is from the UK , trail name Tinkerbell. She did the entire hike including the Sierras where she had a near fatal fall but was saved by her newly learned ice ax skills and was hauled up to safety by her quick thinking companions. Beautifully filmed all the way and just as enjoyable as watching these ladies.(They are my new favorites)
@@topherjoe1 I followed Mary from almost the day she started. Loved her and the way she videoed her hike. Also, that she was vegan (I'm not but like to eat healthier and she showed some good choices) and talked about her meals and resupply more than most hikers do. Only so many times you want to hear, "I'm having Ramen and tuna or a Ramen Bomb."
Beautiful part of the trail. We have a number of WA state transplants here in MN. They are always asking in Hiking groups about rugged trails in our state. Now I see why they are homesick. We don’t have anything much like it except on the shore of Lake Superior. I just love how much joy you all exude! Thanks for taking us along with you. Happy Trails! 👑👑👑
What a beautiful and majestic part of your hike. I’m not sure I could do the paths that are drop offs and the water crossing. So I give you a BIG thank for taking me on your adventure through your eyes.
I so appreciate the reality you ladies bring to your viewers. I wish I was there ten feet behind ya'll. I met ya'll at Winding Stairs Gap when ya'll hiked the AT. I live 8 miles from there. PLEASE keep sharing the wonderful videos. Thank you.
Love the foggy section at the beginning, even though the view was obscured. Must confess that watching ANY of you attempt to cross some of these fast-running streams on a log bridge with a pack on your back is more than my nerves can stand.
As usual, you ladies inspire me inspire me in many ways including to get moving and get outside. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and reminds us all to take care of our mother Earth as she does take care of us. Thank you for sharing your trail experiences.
Beautiful photography WW! I’ve watched this area on vlogs during the Fall where it was gorgeous Fall colors or covered in snow. But equally lovely in Sumner too. You are getting so close to Canada. Just amazing to watch. Thanks WW!
Wow such amazing scenery and challenges. LOL at Pesky's emergency TP needs. Really appreciate you ladies putting a skit together after your tiring days.
You awesome ladies and HRC on the PCT (trail names Halo & Chief) are in about the same area. Have to be within day or so I believe. Just enjoy watching your adventures !!!!
You girls crack me up! You entertain us while you take us along on your awesome adventure! So sad that you didn’t have any view on the cat walk but it looked so cool and scary in the fog!
Oh, the beauty of the surroundings that you walk through are simply stunning. Again the humour is outstanding. And, by the way, I always watch your videos twice, in one sitting. Can’t get enough🤭 Love from Nova Scotia🇨🇦
Absolutely Gorgeous! I had a smile on my face and joy in my heart while I watched this. Thank you for filming this and sharing it with all of us. You really do take us with you -- so positive and inspiring. Love it.
You're all so wonderfully positive and thank you for sharing. I'm prepping to do this section running and it's so helpful to have all these views of what I need to plan for, but you all just made it so happy.
I'm a Washington resident, and planning on hiking the PCT next year. Your flip-flop journey has me seriously considering doing the same. Even tho I have access practically in my back yard! I have really enjoyed your hike, and look forward to 'hiking' the rest of the trail with you! Journey on, ladies! 💜💜
LOL , " think we're going the wrong way here". Hope y'all don't end up somewhere in the Canadian Yukon. That was a very funny emergency. ButI am very impressed with your communication / emergency ewuipment. Take care always
What a shame to be socked in that first day. That is one of the most scenic, gorgeous stretches of trail in Washington. 😢 But it looks like the rest of the trail made up for it. You guys are rock stars! 😁👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😎
Impressive! We caught three of you ladies after you left Stevens, up past Lake Janus and Glasses Lake. Ken, Levi, and I were inspired by your journeys so far!! Good luck!
"Better Day" by Tina Vonn at 6:01 was great for such a beautiful stretch of track. Shame about the views along the catwalk. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Love the views and very nice upbeat music. That was an interesting water crossing. This trail has more views than Carter has liver pills!!! The Ice Age Trail has hardly any views, it's overgrown in many spots, tons of blow downs and no water for miles on end. LOL on the inReach emergency. Yes that is an emergency but wouldn't be if she only had a hiker bidet like I have!!! Oh so clean!!! LOL You go girls!!! John from MI
Been thinking about you all and thinking you should be a Stevens Pass. Now on the Lake Chelan and Northward. So proud of you all. You all are great on all the high places....
Hey, this Mike, Susie's dad. We just finished watching your video and it was fabulous. What a professional job you do. The scenery was fantastic, and the trails looked incredible, and incredibly scary. I'm not sure I would like to attempt something like that, but I marvel at all of you. Paula and I really enjoyed meeting all of you and having an enormous chilly dog upon your recommendation. It was wonderful, but I could barely get vertical this morning. One of these days I will have to start watching my diet. Best of luck on the remainder of your hike. We hope you have great weather and it doesn't get too hot. Great to meet you all. Mike and Paula Dorle
Wow, some tough slogging on very narrow, high trails! Well done! Stunning views and your never ending positive enthusiasm, I love watching your videos. You are getting so close to the boarder now. I hope someday our respective boarders will be fully open again and you can come do a hike up here (I'm in BC) , then I can provide some trail magic for you :)
I hiked this section in 1973 southbound. Kristy, your filming is absolutely first class. You captured the beauty so wonderfully. It is such a joy to follow you ladies adventure. It brings back so many glorious memories. You have been very fortunate to have passed through the Goat Rocks, and this section with splendid weather other than that first day. As others have said weather can change on a moment’s notice. Be careful and safe. The three of you are doing so well! Is there some way to find the names of the music you use in these videos? Thanks, Bill
Loved this section. Wish the catwalk had been clear though. Now I'll have to see if I can find a thru hiker that had better weather through that area. I want to see all the views !! Not going to happen in Washington though, I guess. I'd definitely do that section and the part in Cali that goes through Yosemite.
Thank you ladies for putting a spark into my life by allowing me/us to joint you on your journey. I've started walking because of inspiration from watching you. God bless & stay safe.
If you are going through Stehekin be sure to stop at the bakery (Stehekin Pastry Company). A fond memory for me. Edit: I see this morning that the smoke is hazardous all the way to the Canadian border. As I am enduring the hazardous smoke in southern Oregon and know the long-term effects, I hope that you are careful.
It’s been a minute since we last heard from the WaWo…hoping all is well. My husband has even been asking me nightly if another video has been posted. Here’s hoping you’ve hit Canada and are are relaxing with your feet up.
Hi ladies! Just checking in on y’all. It’s been a minute since your last video. Hope y’all are staying well, healthy and happy. Miss seeing y’all. Much love 💕!!!
