Also I was born and raised in Miami, and my (at the time) step family is Cuban, so is my hubby so I'm definitely buying Sal and Gabi, I think I will relate to it!
So my fav sieres when i was younger was masterminds by gordan korman but then I read kotlc and then i was hooked and percy jackson I read after i finished kotlc and kotlc and percy jackson are my favs now
I loved The Lightning Theif! It's one of my favorite books, I love the twist at the end! I finished reading Wonder, and I'm planning on read Keeper Of The Lost Cities!
PLEASE CONTINUE BTHE SERIES ALSO THIS IS JUST MY OPINION BUT THE NEXT SERIES (ALSO BY RICK RIORDAN) HEROES OF OLYMPUS IS AMAAAAAZING I TELL YOU! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE BORED OF READING ONLY ABOUT PERCY, HEROES OF OLYMPUS IS LITERALLY THE BEST SERIES FOR YOU AND IT GETS INCREASINGLY BETTER! (Excuse caps! Hehe)
I'm rereading PJO series and it's just as amazing as when I read it eight years ago. MIddle grade books are so underrated and more adults should read it
Favorite Middle-Grade: Wonder The One and Only Ivan Serafina and the Black Cloak The Goose Girl A Snicker of Magic Okay for Now The Mighty Heart of Sunny St. James The Door by the Staircase The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell School For Good and Evil Just to name a few
OMG Nevermoor is soooooo good. I read it a couple years ago and this video reminded me that I need to reread it. Thank You. Also will check out some of the other books in this video.
As soon as I saw Nevermoor, I knew I had to subscribe to this channel! My favourite middle grade series is Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger
a good middle-grade series is Gregor the Overlander by Suzanne Collins. It follows a young boy who meets these underground mole people. He has to go one this adventure to help them, led by a prophecy, and defeat their enemies. It’s a 5 part series that you should check out if you’re into books like percy jackson
I read hardly any middle grade books, but I absolutely love the Keeper of the Lost Cities series by Shannon Messenger. It's got me interested in reading more middle grade books, so thanks for the recommendations!
Oh my gosh SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL IS SO SO GOOD. It’s one of my absolute favorite series and I highly recommend- also the Ascendance Trilogy is my favorite series of all time along with Percy Jackson, and it’s middle grade as well (it’s described as a middle grade game of thrones). The Unwanteds is amazing as well there’s so many middle grade book series I want more people to read haha!!
Ooooo YAY! I’m so excited to start it soon omg 🙌🏼 I need to take some notes lol I’ve got a lot of middle grade to get caught up on! Thanks for the recommendations! 💓
Awww this is so sweet! I try my best to make my sponsored videos as true to me as I can. I know paid promotions can sometimes be annoying, but it’s what helps me make a living and I always try to say yes to ones I’m genuinely excited about. So thank you, for saying this ☺️❤️
I'm 28 and I love middle grade books and basically I'm always trying to read almost all middle grade books cuz I just love the light, fluffy story. There is nothing like it. PS: my love for middle grade started and ignited with PJO. 🙂
i'm glad people actually really like middle grade and im glad that they are still around even though some people are adults! i'm in middle schools right now and im looking for some books that would be appropriate but also some good reads because some of the middle grade reads ive finished weren't really my favorites! so thanks for making this video!
The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding was so great. I listened to the audio book and it was AMAZING. I want to read the second one, but I can't get a hold of it yet. I love the the Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan. 💖💖💖
I love middle-grade books! I really recommend Land of Stories by Chris Colfer. It's just an amazing series, so if any of yall in the comments could check it out I would really recommend it
I love National Treasure too! One of my old favorites! If you loved York and the National Treasure vibes it gave, I highly recommend the 39 clues series. I read those right at the end of 5th grade. I was above my reading level so it was a middle grade book and they are so fun! I still think about them today, and I am a junior in high school. I actually work in a bookstore and recommend them to teachers all the time! I hope you try the 39 Clues and love them like I do! And I’m definitely gonna try York! Seems so fun and cute😊😊😊
Omg i love middle grade too im currently reading magiterium by Cassandra clare and holly black(im surprised you dint mention it actually )...im currently on the third book...sooo good😍
I’m definitely not in the middle grade target but I still love them anyway and probably always will. Thanks to you I read nevermoor and I deeply fell in love with it, so i immediately added sal and gabi break the universe to my tbr 💚
Hahaha I definitely agree! They’re so fun sometimes it’s hard not to love them ☺️ I’m so glad you loved Nevermoor! And I’m super excited to read Sal and Gabi too😍✨
I really recormend the book series WildWood. Its a Fantasy style series and is based on 2 characters named Prue and Curtis who find that they have to power of the wood. This means that they can go into wildwood with out getting lost in a never ending loophole of the wood. Deffinetly recormend it!
You should read any book by Gareth P. Jones. I've read the society of thirteen, the thornthwaite inheritance, the thornthwaite betrayal and the considine curse. They are all middle grade books (as far as i remember anyway) with creepy themes and dark twists at the end of them.
I tried to read Wundersmith, and for some reason I couldn't read it. Which is upsetting, because I loved Nevermoor. I think it was because it was set in a school setting, and I dont like reading school settings.
If you want to read some other awesome middle grade books about amazing kids solving puzzles, then your must read The Mysterious Benedict Society trilogy. It's so fun & smart! I love it & I think you will too.
So I'm an Instructional assistant for a sixth grade class, and I find this list very informative! Not only because I love reading but because I'm always looking for books my kids will like. Will have to look into many of these!
WHEN I TELL YOU PJO, HEROES OF OLYMPUS, TRIALS OF APOLLO AND MAGNUS CHASE MADE MY MIDDLE SCHOOL SO MUCH BETTER- GEUYGSGUVSUG FUCKIN RICK RIORDAN IS A GODDD I 100% RECOMMEND HIS BOOKS!!! (Fantasy/Greek mythology) then there is Harry Potter, one of the classics! I ALSO RECCOMEND TRYLLE TRILOGY, THE 3 BOOKS WERE SO INTERESTING I CRIED FOR MORE! (These are my top 3 fantasy series, lmk if you want more!)
you should definitely read gallagher girls by ally carter. its about a secret spy school for girls and the series start from their sophomore year where they start learning about covert operations. its so fun and just crazy good. i just want everybody to experience that kind of fun because it was truly something else. also they're not all childish. it gets like super dark from book 3 but still it has humour and fun to it and it just gets right to the feel ahaha y'all should definitely pick it up!!
Ashley you should totally read the children of the lamp series. I loved it. Although I have just read the first book because the others books are not easily available in my country.
Sal and Gaby is amazing! It’s not like any rick riordan story I’ve ever seen, and it’s more focused on the kids than their powers and magic. It was unlike anything I’ve ever read and I can’t wait for the sequel!
I’m 40 and really enjoy middle grade. I usually read the books I want to get the children I nanny. Rick Riordan’s books are really well researched and funny. If they had come out when I was a mythology-obsessed 8 year-old, I would have loved them! The only series I didn’t finish was the Egyptian mythology one. Wonder was fantastic, and I enjoyed the companion books from other characters’ points of view.
I love Harry Potter movies so I decided to read the books also and I have just fallen in love with books after that that's why my all history is full of books I am gonna order all of these also dork diaries and wimpy kids, you were so sweet in the video btw, love ya
Keeper of the Lost Cities!!!!!!! Favorite series that is middle grade. However, it has the plot and characters and intensity of a YA, highly recommended it!
I love middle grade books!! Nevermoor is amazing!! I have reread it 3 times. The second book is better then the first. I didn’t care for the book school for good and evil. I’m not sure if it is because I didn’t care for the audiobook voices. So I probably won’t be listening to them and maybe check out the actual book.
I really recommend false prince by Jennifer A Nielsen (not sure if I spelled her name right) It's a thriller and it's about 4 orphan boys taken into a mansion to train to be a clone of a real prince to stop war. There's so many plot twists- really good book :)
Not a huge middle grade fan (because mainly I like books with adult protagonists and/or are aimed towards them since I started reading at an early age), but I’ll guess I’ll give it a try.
Idk if anyone has read these but the spiderwick cronicels are great as long as your ok with a bit of wierd stuff but there amazing it follows these twins and there older sister but they move into this old house that was owned by there great great grandfather (its some kinda gradfather im pretty sure) and they find out about all these myical crechers (also i know there are a lot of spelling mistakes im a reader not a speller)
You HAVE to read The School for Good and Evil, I've gone through grade 2 to 7 reading this book. I've grown up with it and it's the biggest reason I'm a humongous fantasy/retelling book nerd that won't put down a book and ends up ranting about them to my friends (who I constantly suggest books to).
What are the books in the top right corner those 6 colourful ones I've seen them in others backround but I can't figure out what they are could anyone tell me what they are
I’ve read about half of these. I love them all, thank u for sharing. I was gonna put what age I am but it’s 1:00 and I don’t remember but I am in fourth grade (but read some in third) so can confirm these can be for lower grades too!
ohmygod there's soo many middle grade lovers here i HAVE to mention one of my all time favourite series gallagher girls by ally carter. its just SO AMAZING i honestly have never read anything like it before. its about this secret spy school for girls and they do all kinds if crazy cool spy stuff. the first two books are good but the other 4 are absolutely PHENOMENALLL!!! i honestly have no idea why ally carter is so underrated. she's one of the best middle grade writers out there. btw she writes about heists and cons too and let me tell you, they are ABSOLUTELY SMASHING!!! anyone who comes across this comment, pleaseee i'm begging you read gallagher girls you'll fall in love w it i promise!!
@@05dineshkumar70 okk coolll i’m excited for you to go on that wild journey!! also that’s been on my tbr for quite a while i need to read the girl who drank moon too!!!
I always enjoy people looking at me weirdly when I read Middle-Grade books only for me to find out that they have read Harry Potter like 27 times this year alone.
Have you read the shadow children series? It is literally the best thing ever; it doesn't feel like a book intended for an eight year old and carries a really interesting storyline. Lots of books too. And I haven't read it, but the author of the school for good and evil actually visited my elementary school on a book tour or something. It was awhile ago so I'm not completely sure lol
Another good middle grade book series is fablehaven by Brandon mull it is a brother and sister who go to their grandparents house and find out it is a sanctuary for magical creatures
