4. Thanks to my friend who shot these videos around the lower North Island and upper South Island at the beginning of the 21st century. He wishes to remain anonymous but has made them available to me for editing and upload to You tube. This video was shot on a DV handycam.
Looking back a couple of decades there is just so much has changed in the middle region making this a fantastic record of those times in all kinds of weather !
The photography is awesome and are a good record of "The Twins" era with several liveries and lots of Dc and Dx action still in the North Island, from trains coming and going in and out of Wellington, and some yard shunting seen mainly from up on the Thorndon Hills which is a fantastic spot for drone like shots. Lots of trains north into the Horowhenua.
