I can not stress how helpful this video was to me. I am now living in a cool comfy environment. I'm not anxious about my electric bill. I cannot take heat. I would die without this. Thank you so much.
I usually handle the user manuals while my husband sets up. He was so frustrated by the middle of the instructions thinking I was missing steps. "IT'S NOT ME" I was screaming. 😂 We found this video and and thought it was just as descriptive as the paper manual is. still not sure what " dry mode" means. Headed to the hardware shop to buy a longer hose for the continous draining as they only provided a 2 ft hose 😂 we haven't even got the first AC unit set up and we bought 2. It's been 2 hours. Pray for us. 🙏
@shelleydetlefsen8353 honestly, so far the things has been a dream. Besides initial set up and hoping we put the drain hose in the right spot it cools the area off nicely and quickly.
@@ericajimison-marin277 we run dry mode before we run AC to get the humidity out of the air. We still haven't seen a drop of water exit that tube. We've had the unit for a month.
Btw, you cracked me up when I read this!! I pictured it in my mind & thought…”yep, that’s me & my husband.” We had to go grab this unit at SAM’s on Friday @ 4pm because we lost our central A/C in this 113 degree, hellacious, heat index, Florida heat wave! We rigged ours out our doggie door!! 🤪 It is 10:07pm & our 3,000 plus square foot home is comfortable enough for us to sleep in. I doubt it will get us through 2 full days of this horrendous heat! I found it easy to set up. We also won’t need it except for emergencies once our A/C is fixed. I give it 5 stars. My review & my response too @TheCoupleThatJeeps.😁 Btw, did you notice any condensation or need for the water hose? So far not a drip has come out & the humidity is relentless!
I just bought this TODAY, how is this video still the best instructions, 3 years later? I can tell a whole lot of steps got skipped, and it’s gonna take me a long time to figure out each little bit that’s missing. Please make a video that tells it to us like we’re dumb! Give it to a child or your grandma or something, and have them assemble the unit, then make that the QR code in the manual please!! #noshade #neurodivergent #everyscrewmatters

I installed it into a vertical sliding window withtout the window kit brace. The hose pulled out from the window in the middle of the night. After lots of staring at the illustrations in the manual I was able to install the window kit brace. It is absolutely vital to hold the weight of the large hose into the window. I appreciate that Midae made an installtion video but they need to redo it with some close-ups and better explanation.
Thank you for your comment. Yes, the unit needs to be installed with the installation accessories for optimal performance. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our videos in the future.
@@marilynjackson5752 If you can hire someone who has already installed one of these, I would hire her/him in a heartbeat, well worth it! Yes, it is more complicated than the video shows. I installed this myself (a lifetime DIYer) and 2 days later it is working well, except for the drain stuff. If you have completed some similar projects, you can do this one, just be ready for lots of frustration and unclear, incomplete directions.
OK, just finished the installation, and here are some tips Before you start: 1- Before Installing the sliders and hooking it up to your house, consider running the unit to make sure it doesn’t rattle. Seems like a lot of feedback on this and other forums about these units rattling, maybe replace it before you completely unpack it if you get a rattler. 2- as Others have mentioned, no need to apply the adhesive. I got a small bit of it on me, and I’m pretty sure that future me would find a time machine and travel back to punch me in the face if I had peeled the backing and applied did adhesive to the frame, I’m sure it would never come off hours of scraping. Simply apply the adhesive side to the sliders, or better yet remove only an occasional section of the paper backing and have that little segment apply to the slider. Because once you click the close the window it’s not going anywhere. 3- Make peace with the fact this thing is going to be at least 10 inches away from the wall when finally installed, I was able to find a table that fit nicely above it to fill the gap and hide the ugly 4 - don’t be a doofus like me and assume that the interior ventilation tube pulls out, it doesn’t except a little, it’s the entire outside ventilation tube that pulls out and connects to the window 5- if not, too late, appreciate that when packaged, the straps are simply holding the box to the unit. Once the straps are cut, you can lift the box up and off the unit because the box arrives with no bottom. This is especially helpful if you’re like me and had to unpackage it in the parking lot to get it in a car, almost got a hernia trying to lift the unit out of a box only later out there was no bottom in the box 6. - always keep it up right, if it was delivered, and you found it on its side, contact customer support to see how long you need to have it sitting vertically before you plug it in without doing damage
Mine blows warm air. I need cold. My settings: cool auto swing, full fans temp 62. Please any suggestions? It also seems to run and then shut down a few beeps and then starts up again. I'm not using the remote. Just what on top of machine.
Use the remote to activate the comfort sense feature. This will make it use the thermostat in the remote instead of the thermostat inside the unit. I’ve seen comments where other people had this type of issue and the thermostat inside the unit was getting cold way before the room was. The thermostat in the remote can be used up to 26 feet away, so put it somewhere the cold air won’t blow on it. Hope this works for you.
I have some good advice too. Don’t buy this unit. The mounting system is probably the worst designed thing ive ever seen. The mounting system is so bad it makes the rest of the unit not worth having.
I called Midea Customer Support this morning, as indicated on the top page of the manual, I did not know where the 'screw' was supposed to go? I was told 'well I guess you don't need one'. The CS person did not seem to know what I was talking about when I stated that the part I was assembling was the Sliding Window Adapter. Good job! Thankfully there are people on this youtube site with some knowledge.

Do NOT attach the adhesive foam to your window frame like this video says. Attach it to the sliders so that your portable AC will actually be portable.
Hi, StevenH. We recommend following the instructions in the manual regarding the foam installation for optimal performance. Foams A and B will be attached to the window sash and frame. Foam C will be cut to match the width of the window, then inserted between the glass and the window frame to prevent air and insects from getting into the room. Have a wonderful day!
@@MideaAmerica So you are instructing people to attach the adhesive foam to the window frame/sash itself, right? Doesn't that mean that this "portable" AC can only be used in that window and everyone would need to buy new foam if they wanted to move this "portable" AC to another place?
This foam is so unbelievably fragile. There is no way it will survive being transported. They provide you with enough foam to complete at least 2 rooms. If you need more, this stuff is cheap and can be picked up from any craft store.
So most important step is attach the air conditioner adapter BEFORE you finish setting up the window slider assembly because **as it's not shown lol** it does not simply 'snap in'. Also the screw used for the adapter doesn't do anything. It won't tighten no matter how long I spend screwing it in

Question: so what happens to the outside unit that is open - how do you get to protect it from water, rain, leave etc and other stuff entering inside it
You can leave a screen on the window as long as it does not interfere/touch the end of the exhaust hose. Otherwise, the pressure from the exhaust once the unit is on will blow any debris back outdoors.
@@ChristopherApowhy would you take out your window screen and expose it to the outside environment where bugs can get into your unit and possibly lay nests?? I would think it was common knowledge to leave your window screen in while the unit VENTS OUT. Hence the name VENTilation

We purchased one yesterday upon someone’s recommendation. The instructions are minimal and we watched this video over and over stopping along the way. It was a challenge!! We are competent capable people with high levels of comprehension. Yikes this was a challenge. It would be helpful if the video or instructions were more detailed and if there were links to alternate window style adaptations.

I had the same thought. I want close-ups of how those two foams are fitting together. Even if I need to use a different method, I can at least see what I’m trying to achieve. But this was like never closer than six feet away, so might as well have been words on a page.
Totally agreed, one of the worst "how to" videos I've ever seen. I'm pretty handy, can fix-install lots of things, and the manual and this video is terrible. I still don't understand how the "window brace" installs. Plus the connection to the Window slider piece is so flimsy, and i can see outside on several spots, including the clips. Terrible design.
@@user-wd8hy1ph1v it cools my 600 square foot apartment, something I didn't think it could do, and I used none of the gasket. I did however fold up some sheet metal to close off the gap where the window butts up against the vent partition, and then cut a length of S lock to sit between the window, and frame to prevent anyone from being able to slide the window any further open.
First of all, I wanna congratulate on the genius who decided to use black materials on a black table. It’s way easier to follow. This guy is obviously a professional, which makes it look easy, which is no help to the average person

I'm having trouble with one step in the installation of my Midea MAP14AHS1TWT DUO Smart 12k BTU (DOE-SACC) 4-in-1 Inverter Portable AC. On page 15 of the manual and at 1:50 of this Installation Overview video the attachment of the Window Kit Brace is shown. I cannot get the Brace to stay affixed to the Window Slider as it just falls off since there isn't anything to hold it up in place. I'm pretty sure I need this Brace to keep the Window Slider from bowing in when the hose is attached. What do I need to do?
Thought i can read the manual and instructions, and agree it is clear. But still a little puzzled what is the so called outside and inside of the slider. Looks like the adhesive foam insulation sheet are attached to the outside of the windows slider, question is will it be able to last being outside taking the beating of weather? One more question, about the air exhaust adapter, it is recommended for hung windows. But after attached it to the hose, it doesn't look very air tight, not sure how it can increase performance, very against intuition. Anyway i think the video confirm what's in the manual, will try to follow instructions, hopefully outside of my window won't see some gooey crawling down after a thunderstorm. Thanks for the video, very clear direction.
Hello @cfadavid, Thank you for your comment. If the installation is done correctly, the adhesive foam should remain unaffected by weather changes. To ensure the secure attachment of the exhaust hose to the window, extra foam or tape should be added around the parts that are not as tightly fitted. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at digitalsupport@midea.com. Have a great day!
I'm having trouble grasping where to apply the adhesive foam strips. The face of the window frames? The inside edges of the frames? The sill? I could have understood from the video, if that section hadn't been film from the other side of the room.
We're sorry you are having trouble with the foam installation and will be happy to help. Please contact us at digitalsupport@midea.com for further assistance. Have a great night.

Hello San. I would recommend looking at the picture on page 13 of the manual attached here. It shows exactly how much space is needed. Your installation location should meet the following requirements: • Make sure that you install your unit on an even surface to minimize noise and vibration. • The unit must be installed near a grounded plug, and the Collection Tray Drain (found on the back of the unit) must be accessible. • The unit should be located at least 9.8” (25cm) from the nearest wall to ensure proper air conditioning. Hey Midea…we aren’t all on Facebook. What about other ways to reach you? I had another brand of portable ac and I sure hope this new one is worth it once I figure out this nightmare of a window installation “kit!”
Wouldn't it be better to have the fresh air into hose a distance away from the hot air exhaust hose? As is currently configured, some of that hot air will come back into the ac unit through the intake.
My installation was more difficult because of being on the second floor and having a left/right tall sliding window. As other reviewers have said, some things are missing from the video and User Manual. The manual says "MShield Used to starts and stops the Fresh feature." What does MShield mean, what is the Fresh feature? Luckily, from other reviewers I learned that the smooth side of Window Sliders Panels face the inside. Before permanently adhering the slider insulation foam to the sliders, trace the outline of the dual hose opening and cut the foam out. I could not figure out how to attach the Window Kit Brace so, as I saw in some reviewers RU-vid videos, I didn't use it. Maybe my double pane window is too thin for the Brace to work? A clear photo or video of how the Brace is supposed to work would really help. There are at least 9 openings in the Sliding Window Adapter that flies and spiders, and winter cold, summer heat can come through. Each of the 8 plastic clips are wide open to the outside. All these leaks will need to be sealed up somehow. There was not enough Foam Seal C for my tall windows. Then there's the problem of how to prevent birds and other animals from nesting in the heat/cool hoses! Why in the world is there no grill or mesh over these huge openings? After a few frustrating hours the unit is now working very well. Fix everything tomorrow.
Hello @markuskragner5462, Thank you for your comment. The MShield feature is a specific air ionizer technology-this device releases negative ions into the air. The negative ions attach to tiny particles, like those in tobacco smoke. This gives the particles an electrical charge, causing them to clump together and land on surfaces like walls. To better assist you with your queries, please contact us at digitalsupport@midea.com. Have a great day!
Hello @Hal-Larson, Thank you for your question. The drain hose is optional in cooling mode. In dry mode, the unit operates as a dehumidifier, so the drain must be connected during this mode. Have a great day!

Why doesn't the video have subtitles or captions. Auto captions are not available making the installation a long drawn out guessing game for people with hearing disabilities like me. I also agree with one of the comments below about the sticky insulation. Quite unnecessary for a portable air conditioner that gets removed for the winter. One comment about the QR code for the video. There should be an internet link in the documentation to get here for those of us that rely on desktop computers and want full screen videos. Other than that, it's a fine piece of equipment.
Hello, hmoobdc5. This unit does come with a drainable water tray, and it can also be set up for continuous drain by using the drain hose adapter. Have a great day!
Hi @VTidwell, Thank you for your question. The Midea Duo Portable Air Conditioner can be drained both manually and continuously. If you wish to drain the unit manually, you will need to open the drain cap in the lower part of the unit. This is where the water is collected into an internal drain tray and needs to be taken near a drain hole to be emptied. Once emptied, you should close the drain plug. Please note that both caps must be closed after using manual draining. If you would like to drain the unit continuously without having to empty the drain tray, you can connect a standard garden hose to the upper plug. The drain hose should be sent to the drain hole or sink to drain. In this case, you do not need to move the unit to drain it; however, the unit only uses gravity draining with continuous draining, so the hose must be lower than the unit. Have a great day!
You mention "sliding window adapter" at the 3:28 mark. You then describe (too briefly) how to screw it together. I don't know what screw you're referring to, and the 3 screws that were in the little plastic bag don't seem to work. I need a little help here.

Hi! I just bought a unit, waiting for the oils to drain down to the compressor after shipping before setting up. My question is does the condensate pump work in all operating modes or only in heating mode? I'd like to run a semi permanent drain for the times we'd like to run dry mode, but a gravity fed bucket is kind of *not* what I'd like to do.
Hello Dalton. Happy to hear you have your new unit. For any questions, please reach out to a specialist via Facebook at m.me/mideaamerica. Welcome to the Midea Family!
This is still our question we have had the unit for over a month and attached a semi permanent drain hose. We have yet to see water run out of it at all. Not sure if we did something wrong or not. 😂
I'm pretty sure the pump only works in the heating mode drain port, which is the second port from the bottom. The others don't pump and are gravity fed.

Hi, Jessi C. The exhaust pressure will keep objects out of the hose. Even if the unit is off, the exhaust pressure, once it's turned on, will blow anything back outside.
Hello @k43869, Thank you for your question. Dry mode is dehumidifier mode. Several factors determine when the unit needs to be drained. Water collection in the unit largely depends on these varying external factors. If you have further questions or queries, please get in touch with us at digitalsupport@midea.com. Have a great day!

You get a custom plexiglass fitting made by a local plexiglass shop. Usually dropping off your bug screen and the AC's window connection piece. Works great and even worth doing it for sliding windows as it looks much better to have a clear view.
I'm shopping for a new ac. Is there a way to turn the hose 90 degrees, as my windows slides sideways to open (Not up and down as in your video) I would also like to know if the condensation issue has been fixed? Hello @Mogalize, Thank you for your queries. The unit is designed for installation into a sliding window; all necessary accessories for a proper installation will be included. The unit collects water based on humidity level, temperature, and frequency of use. Once the tank is filled to its maximum capacity, the operation will stop, and a P1 error code will be displayed. At this point, the tank will need to be drained for the unit to clear the code and resume operation. Have a great day!

Hello, I was so excited to finally get a highly rated A/C unit that would not compromise my safety by hanging outside a window, and strong enough to cool each end of a tiny U shaped apartment. Unfortunately it cannot go where intended, and no other window is as safe from a possible break-in. I have had considerable trouble figuring out a solution with all constraints satisfied, and would not have purchased this model had I read a manual as carefully as I have had to while preparing what I expected to be a simple window installation... I would like to suggest you post/print the unit's requirements right up front, in clear, easy to understand terms; ie: 1. The unit has flammable gas (specify type) and must be 10 feet from a gas appliance or any other open flame or hazardous flammable substance (not for an art studio using oil paint, probably not a garage work room either; both future uses dashed.) 2. The unit may not be used in a laundry room, bathroom or any other very humid area. (Can't roll it to a bedroom window since the apartment strangely has a washer/dryer in it.) 3. The electric cord is 4 feet off the right hand bottom back of the unit and must reach a dedicated wall outlet. Extension cords are forbidden (for good reason.) This is a big ask if living in an older apartment. 4.The unit must have two open feet of floor space all around it or more helpfully stated, a five foot footprint (another big ask if in a 550 sq ft living space.) 5. The window used must be a hung or slider window preferably with a screen. (or do-it-yourself improvisation that probably voids a warranty.) 6. The window opening will be 10" which if kicked in could still let a determined criminal inside. (The advantage over having a more notorious 12" or 14" old-fashioned boxy window unit opening isn't quite as helpful as imagined.) Clearly, one of your other units might have been a more appropriate choice if all the above were known before spending two whole days (several weeks apart) studying the manual and watching videos. But... I AM looking forward to better relief during the hot July/August days and nights! (My little window A/C only cools a dozen feet or so, and only by 10 degrees. Not much help on consecutive days approaching 100 or more.) Yes, I am grateful, despite my suggestions! Cheers

Is there any way I can keep my window screen on with this portable ac or can I just leave the divider out of the installation so I can keep my window screen on ?

The box for the one I bought today says it fits casement style windows. Which is what I have. Where are those instructions, and do you have an adaptor to fill the wedge-shaped fap at the top and bottom of window?

One very important question I have is our area has windy rain. Could the rain possibly go into the tube if it’s blowing towards the tube entrance? I have one, but it makes me nervous leaving it in the window during a storm and we get rain quite frequently so it would be very inconvenient to have to remove it and seal up the hole every time.
Hi @mikek43, thank you for your question. If the tube is installed correctly, rainwater shouldn't be able to get into it. However, for added protection, we recommend using a screen (sieve) or similar device to prevent any water from entering. Have a great day!
How do I measure the window to adjust the slider according to the table in the manual? Which is the inside and outside of the window slider? I couldn't find the screw for fixing the 90-degree sliding window adapter unit halves together, so what length/threads-per-inch is the screw? Why can't I put insulation on the inside of the slider? The end insulation should be put in the window sash, the manual says, but I want to attach it to the slider so that I can later remove the slider in one piece. Is this OK? How do I install the brace? The plastic push-pins that hold the slider together stick out enough that making a good push-seal is difficult. How do I get around this? So many questions - so little time...
Hello @krslavin, Thank you for your questions. We're sorry you found the installation video difficult to understand. You will need to assemble the window slider and place it on the windowsill. Adjust it to match the length or height of your window. The grooves where you can add another window slider are considered the outside part. Looking to buying one of these units to replace a old GE Portable that refuses to cool the area that it was bought for. Not to mention the higher electrical cost used for that unit because its not performing well . Is it true that Portable units are only meant to serve for 3 seasons?
I have a midea (not this exact model) that just broke after 2 years. It no longer cool and their warranty don't cover it. I bought this one hoping it lasts longer.
Hello, pacificlifestyles7641. The drain hose does not need to be set up if you are emptying the bucket when full, it all depends on your drain preference. Please see the user manual for more information on draining the unit. For questions or concerns, please reach out to us at DigitalSupport@midea.com.
Hello @rhsalce, thank you for your question. This unit only has a partial self-evaporating feature; it requires either manual or continuous draining. If you have any further questions or queries, please contact us at digitalsupport@midea.com. Have a great day!
The inner hose that came with the unit i got isn't actually clipped in to the Ac at the bottom inside of the bigger outer hose. Looks like the metal grate is in the way and the thickness makes it impossible to clip in. Help pls
Hello @yvonnasun, we're sorry that you're having trouble setting up your exhaust hose. To better assist you, please contact us at digitalsupport@midea.com. Have a great day!
Hello, @faustotinoco779. We will forward your request to the respective department. The unit can be drained either manually or continuously. If you wish to drain the unit manually you will need to open the drain cap in the lower part of the unit, this is where the water is collected into an internal drain tray and needs to be taken near a drain hole to be opened and emptied. Once emptied, you will close back the drain plug. Please note that both caps are to be closed once using manual draining. If you would like to drain the unit continuously without having to drain the drain tray, you can connect a standard garden hose to the upper plug. The drain hose will need to be sent to the drain hole or sink to drain. In this case you do not need to move the unit to drain it; However, the unit only uses gravity draining with continuous draining, so the hose must be lower than the unit. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at digitalsupport@midea.com. Have a great day!
Cool mode will not typically need draining unless you live in a high-humidity environment. If that's the case, you'll have to manually empty the bottom drain tray.
@@MideaAmerica And because of this "empty the drain yourself" mode, I cannot buy this unit as it can get really humid in the midwest. I wish there was a better design than this.
Hello @simps4330, thank you for your question. You will need to purchase and attach an additional installation kit to fit the length of your door. You can purchase this from - midea.encompass.com/item/12706025/Midea/12020600A00361/. Have a great day!
I read up a bit on the dual hose system and I believe it recirculates the inside air for cooling the room and the heat produced goes outside through the exhaust hose. The 2nd hose is to bring outside air in to the machine only for cooling it. I could be wrong but that is my understanding.
Hello, heikelautenschlager720. We do not have an adapter for sliding doors or a hole in the wall available for sale at this time. This unit is intended to be installed in a window. For any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at DigitalSupport@midea.com.
Hello, alimaw7407. This unit is intended to be installed on windows. We highly recommend for a proper installation to prevent damage to the unit and for it to perform effectively. For any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at DigitalSupport@midea.com.
Thank you for your question, @barkeep25. This unit is not designed for use in a trailer. For its optimal performance, it's recommended that it is installed in a window within a standard house. Have a great day!
Hello @xxMarikaxx, thank you for your question. When you use the dry mode, the hose should be connected to the upper plug of the unit. Have a great day!
I bought one to upgrade from a older portable ac unit in my double wide. The biggest compliant I have on the install is that the hose cutout is not on center top to bottom. The big plastic storage clip would not clear the edge of the outer window so I chopped it off. Also I had to cutout part of the opposing sliding panel so it wouldn't overlap the hose cutout. Other than that the unit is working good so far and I like the addition of being able to control it with a app.
Hello Shocktaught1. We are sorry to hear about the tough installation process, however, very happy to hear you are enjoying your unit and its smart features. Have a great day.
Hello DymeTzer. We appreciate your comment about the MIdea DUO Inverter AC. Please send us a message on Facebook at m.me/MideaAmerica so we can further assist you.
Dear Madea, how do you install the window security bracket? The dude says to install it but doesn't even show you how. Wouldn't a video show the entire process of installation instead of just parts of it??? Sigh
Hello @dwade1816, We apologize if the installation video did not meet your expectations. To assist you better with the security bracket installation, please reach out to us at digitalsupport@midea.com.
How can this unit NOT produce condensate during cooling mode? Living in the southeastern US, we typically get over a gallon of condensate per day. How can the small tray shown in the video hold enough fluid for the unit to run more than a couple hours? Please explain.
Thanks for your question! Cool mode does not typically produce condensate due to the pressure from the exhaust -- unless you live in a high-humidity environment. If that's the case, you will need to empty the drain tray once the unit displays a P1 code. This will have to be done manually, and once the tray is empty, you can resume operation.
The written instructions that came with this device were horrendously non-descriptive. This video saved me, even though it could have been improved by showing zoomed-in stills.
Hello @benjaminwegner6036, we're sorry that the instruction manual did not meet your expectations. Nevertheless, we're thrilled that the installation video was able to assist you in successfully installing the unit. Have a great day!
Hello @erniefedorowych5955, thank you for your comment. This unit does not pull outside air to cool the room, it re-circulates inside air. Have a great day!
@@MideaAmerica Thanks very much for your reply. The unit is a duo venting AC. Don't both the exhaust and intake hoses travel jointly to the window attachment? If this is the case is not the air intake from the outside? I would great if it wasn't as the unit could be used during the smoke filled air when the wildfires are raging. Thanks.
@@MideaAmerica Hi, I appreciate the response! I don't know what dry mode or draining means. Looking through the manual, I'll have to drain the unit when it shows a message? Does that mean I'll unplug that black plug, stick the clear tube in, and drain it into a cup? Do you know how often-ish that will happen? I live in a moderately humid area and am not sure how to make the most out of the units. Thank you for helping me with this!!
I just bought one of these. I live in a hot area - temps up to 112f in the forecast. So how does that affect the machine in regard to the outside air intake?
Thanks for your question. The unit should not be used during weather that exceeds 95°F. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us today at DigitalSupport@midea.com.
Just installed..and wondering the same . It should have flaps on it at the least ....heard yes you can use your screen...then heard it reduces airflow...geez...
Hi @gailwendtland5970 - I called @mideaamerica and they couldn’t help me! You know what they suggested? They suggested I go buy a net - unbelievable! After spending $600 in an AC - I hope you have better luck than me! Let us know!
How do you clean the inside coils when they start getting dirty, The condensor will intake dust and other containments from the outside and the inside filter is not like an actual HVAC filter
Pulled this out of the box, set it up and got it running. I put the conversion kit onto the hose, set up the window kit, and taped it closed. I really am confused what everyone here is complaining about - I get the video is fast, but it has a pause button and the steps are super easy. I can't imagine anyone having serious difficulties with this.
The air conditioner itself is fantastic, the window installation system is flimsy, and the technical writer for the manual should be fired. The amount of missing steps in it is RIDICULOUS.
Yeah, this video at least explained the drain hose step a lot better than the manual. I was struggling to figure it what outlet to use for what mode, because the manual was so vague.
I just bought this AC today! At first smoke started Coming out, and now the smoke stopped but after about 5 min it turns off and it says “PC1” on it. Idk what to do please help me 🥲
We're sorry that you experienced this with your AC! So that we can better assist, please email us today at DigitalSupport@midea.com and refer to case number 111926865.
