Hi guys. My dream product is a competitor to the Akai MPC line made by you guys with Studio One integration. Some sort of portable self contained production powerhouse... I feel your ethos listening and updating would culminate into a production powerhouse. If that's too crazy a dream, would love if Impact had splicing and warping functions with midi assignable start/end knobs. More akin to mpc style chopping and sampling without having to mouse slice it and shift+drag into impact. Thanks and Gregor you're the man. 🤟🏾🕉️
One of the reasons I switched to Bitwig from studio one and never bothered to upgrade from 5 to 6 is because midi routing is so weak. But midi comping is one thing that S1 has which nobody else has. So thats a win.
Loved the tune!!! Please consider Note Editor Panel's scale & key lock to follow the Chord Track, so that we could always be sure that whatever notes we tap we're always in key! :)
Can you do a short video on how to reset the midi engine in Studio One Pro? There is nothing about this online, and it is requested in the startup dialogue.. thanks for a great support series here on YT.
Is it possible to set a midi loop, and then overdub on that loop. Such as, using a drum machine, I can just set the loop and build up the drum layers, kick the first play through, then add snare and then hats... all just overdubbing while the playhead loops?
Hi Greger! Can yo please tell me how to merge two MIDI tracks together without covering up the notes of the track I am moving a snip-it of MIDI to. I have read and watched a bunch of vids and articles but I can not get it to work...I am running 6.6.1 THANKS!
Often I have to compose and orchestrate in notation software (it's just how I think). However I'm find importing midi to Studio One to substitute libraries and massage the performance. To that end, can I setup S1 to only overdub CC data for dynamics and vibrato but leave the notes and timing of the notes alone? I haven't found a way to do that yet. It either makes a take without notes or overwrites without notes. Either way I don't actually have the note data.
When I got my atom the far right key on the bottom row “sticks” down when I hit it. Any idea how to fix that issue? It came like that but I didn’t get my set up running very fast as I was getting an entire recording system at once. By the time I noticed it too much time had passed
Hi Gregor , ich hätte da eine Frage zu einem anderen Thema. Ich weiss das ich drumsounds im Impact auf einen pad layern kann. Und sie dann in jedem hit zufällig abspielen kann. Gibt es aber die möglichkeit sie mit einen Knopfdruck aus einem Ordner zufällig zu laden? Ich habe mir überlegt sie auf die velocity werte zu layern (1-127 Samples) und dann im midi event einfach die velocity zufällig zu fixieren, aber dann fehlt mir die velocity für die samples. Ich weiss das es in Ableton live mit der Sample Selection des Samplers und einer random funktion geht. Mir würde auch reichen den "next sample" button oben im Reiter des plugins irgendwie auf ein midi controller zu mappen aber das scheint nicht zu funktionieren. Hast du ein Tip wie man seine lieblings drum-samples dauerhaft in ein template ladet und sie dann zufällig wechselt um schnellstmöglich den richtigen samples zu finden? Beste Grüße
HEELLPPPPP!!!! How do you copy and past a clip so any changed editing it can only affects that copied and pasted duplicate clip on the tracks in the arrange page. I tried duplicate etc and nothing works. Example using chord track editing a bass clip changing the follow chords function with parraell, narrow and bass changes all the rest of the clips but I want to do be independant. ANYONE?.
