MIDI Mapping Your Controller in Cubase 7 - Audio Mentor

Very nice! This is the first RU-vid-video that actually shows me how to change the "Channel Volume" in the Cubase Mixer using my Midi Controllers knob (AKAI Professional MPK225). I applied that midi-function (changing Volume on Channels) inside the Midi "mapping window" in Cubase by using "Channel/Category" = Selected and "Value/Action" = Volume. Now I don't need to use the mouse anymore to change the volume of channels… :) Now I'll continue trying to map other my "Midi knobs" to change EQ, etc. Thanks for the video!

Oldie but goldie! This helped me map out my good old M-Audio Oxygen 61 MKIII. There is still some weirdness going on when I use the controllers, (like panning the whole mix to the left/right), but at least it is responding to commands now and not just sending a midi signal that doesn't do anything. I guess the rest is up to me to figure out. :) Thank you!

If the '"Learn" button is not registering your controller movements, be sure to click "Apply" AFTER you have selected your MIDI controller. Cheers

It works in Cubase Artist 8.5 too, really helpful tutorial. Do you have a video anywhere on doing dynamic pads on a MIDI keyboard? Or even setting the panning knobs to change parameters of a certain plugin? For example Halion Sonic shows 8 different volume/pan knob type things, how do you set them to do that?

hi, i have all set up. but when openning the project later and trying to adjust a parameter via midi controller. the moment i thouch the knob to tweak the sound the value goes to zero, instead of continuing where it was left on previous ocasion. can this be fixed on cubase?

I have an axiom 61 and use it through Cubase 5. Im having trouble trying to split the axiom to play different midi channels on Cubase 5.Ive got all the zones etc set up to play with different channels except on cubase it just plays the selected track only...Any help cyber people?

Is it possible to assign a different project track to any button of a PAD? How? Like use the pad button to switch between tracks? I want to use some keytar keys to switch from an instrument track to another, pre-loading each instrument on each track before.

Hi Rueben, I can't get this to work with an Oxygen 61 and Cubase elements 9.5. All legit progs and latest drivers etc. It will go through the whole process and then when I apply the changes and click out nothing happens in response. Any ideas? Great video by the way.
