Not a good idea to run coaxial and power thru same hole, as per Midland. Rugged radios sells a 4Runner mount that bolts to front seat bolt and radio sits next to passenger side of console
Thank you for that feedback. I will have to check out that mount. The MXT575 is a large radio. I didn't know that about the power cable next the coaxial. I don't have a lot of options without making a new hole. Did they say why it wasn't a good idea? So far the radio has been working well.
@@timthetrailman4563 I can’t remember the reasoning, but you can check with midland. The bracket I spoke of is installed in my 2019 TRD 4Runner and works great
Directly to the battery. The MXT575 comes with leads to connect direct to battery. My understanding is the amp draw needs to be connected directly to battery. It does have inline fuses.
