Midnight Club 2 is not just a game. It's an underground electro festive.

This game has lived rent free in my head for almost 20 years

No music beats MC2 main menu theme. The vibe is just..... mysterious

I love how the Menu theme literally has multiple moods depending on the section of the song LOL

IN THE BACK SHAKES TAMBOURINE, NICOTINE FROM A SILVER SCREEN

I was usually too busy raging to realize just how amazing this soundtrack was. Also that part with Live 135 and CSGO was very clever lol

The MC2 soundtrack will still remain as one of my personal favorites in racing games, just can't get enough of it.

When I got my first car, I blasted the entire Midnight Club 2 soundtrack with my best friend in the car. I still do to this day!

Midnight Club 2's aesthetics combined with a soundtrack that actually tries to make every opponent and race feel unique, creates such a fantastic experience. It's a racing game with an actual atmosphere and tone of its own, dancing on the threshold of feeling believable and being some sort of a dreamlike music video in motion. While the trance music is pretty simple, its use here is excellent, making it easily the most effective soundtrack in the franchise. 3's has some good rock and occasional neat song, but it's mostly a very lackluster soundtrack with many baffling song choices and very homogenous drum and bass. LA is more consistent in quality, not having notable lows but also no notable highs, hitting that very passable middle ground soundtrack tier. I guess the first game also exists.

Hey this is a really good! All of them encapsulates the feeling extremely well. Stephane's music as well as Nokternal's Aurora are my favorite songs in MC2.

Mc2 i feel was more about the 90s scene than the 00s the music really pushes it for me, just full of mid 90s styled acid trance and euro rave, mc1 will always be my top 90s style racing game though

Man, I had a good laugh. Those insects bugging around on the Stephane tune is just perfect ! You should look out the ending scene of Lost Highway (1997), I think it would fit marvellously with these tracks.

I'm glad I came across this, sometimes it would feel like I was the only person who even knew what MC2 is since most people talk about MC3 or MCLA

"Escaping Sao Paulo" 🤣 that's similar to what I usually imagine when listening to that theme. I thought it wasn't possible to beat the first video, but you made it! And you included the BANGER main menu music. Nice use of the Taxi movie too, very fitting. I miss Aurora, Stealth and Brain 35, though. I loved it. But what I love the most is... that you hated the game and now you have played it two or three times. 😂

I did that once: i used to have a big Stereo hifi in my room when i was a Kid . I was Home free and the neighbors were out too. I got curious and wanted to see how loud i could turn it so i connected my mp3 player to it, started Brain 21 -Something for your mind (Kaylab Remix) and turned it up. It ripped off picture in my room😅. Never dared doing that again.
