@@amanwithamission5073 agreed. In any sports event, a more impactful moment like this helps break the other team’s momentum, allowing others to get back in the game. Great moment 👌🏾
This is why Midorima is my favorite GoM member. He's remembered for his high-3 shots, but people often forget he's in no way limited to that particular skill.
People seem to forget, but Midorima places HIGH value on people who work very hard. He’s part of the GoM, but unlike most of his fellow miracles, he never slacks off. It’s why he has respect for Kuroko, who forced his way in Teiko first string through hard work and practice. It’s why he has respect for his Shutoku teammates and senpais, who work extremely hard.
@Akshat Singha I think part of the reason why Midorima stopped trusting teammates after Teiko was because the GoM stopped taking games seriously. Midorima being the only player to put in effort in winning those games decided to put faith only in himself because he figured he worked harder than anyone else. Shutoku made him realize that everyone else puts in just as much work
From "Just pass me the ball" to "I'll pass the ball to you" that's some A++ character development right there. Really love how Midorima develops more trust with his team over the season after being defeated by Seirin.
@@jaobille79 plus he was the MVP in Last Game, most points and the only guy who got double guarded in the game. He is underrated as heck compared to other GOM
this is proof of the generation of miracles improvement. In the beginning they were so self centered and pridefull, but now they're finally trusting their teammates and working together....The separate teams now, Kaijo, Rakuzen, Seririn, Yosen, Too, and Shutoku are finally working as a team, just like in Teiko.
***** i feel bad for him actually. even more for akashi. I'm surprised he hasn't quit basketball after the winter cup. Not that he would want too, but his father probably would have made him. saying something like "The Akashi family only has need for winning and that which promotes the family name". I saw the episode with Akashi's backstory and his father is 100% an asshole. Poor Akashi having to live in a house like that. Never really had a life outside of the Family business. Whats worse, the dad grilled him harder after the Mother died.
***** WHAT? you mean Kise and Akashi were like shadow and light? I didn't see that. but i showed my friend the scene where Midorima does the touch shot and she's like "Why is everything to dramatized" It's not drama, its Midorima being a badass
+joel george Absolutely not! AKashi is his surname! Kuroko, Akashi, Kise, Midorima, Murasakibara, Aomine... All of them are surnames, not names! Japanese people pronounce the name in this order: surname + name. The subbers reverse them because occidental people say the first name before and the last name after. For example in Naruto everytime they call him with his full name they say "Uzumaki Naruto" or "Uchiha Sasuke". In Japan call people with surname + honorific suffix (kun-sama-dono-san-chan) is a sign of respect. When you call someone only with the surname is always respectful if you are talking with someone of your age. If you call someone with name+honoric suffix than you have confidence with that person and when you call someone only with the name without any suffix it means great confidence or, if you use it with people that you don';t know well or older than you (for grade or age) it means that you are absolutely not respectful. For example Sasuke in "Naruto" call everyone by their first name without any suffix and this is considered very unrespectful (even Kakashi, Sasuke calls him "Kakashi", he doesn't call him "Kakashi-sensei" as he should do, like Naruto and Sakura do). Akashi's second personality (the emperor) call everyone by their first name because he think that he is superior to them, so he doesn't have to talk to them with respect.
Despite looking so arrogant, he's the most mature-minded among GoM. He was the only one who never skipped training and actually cared about the whole team
@@1fazk There were times that he didnt believe in his team. Like he's thinking that he can do it all and he does not need to rely on them, kinda similar with Aomine's mindset. Altho ofc, they had to be slapped with the fact that they need to believe in them.
@erenkruger5760 even soo he can hold his own he doesn't need zone because he is always playing seriously in games Midorima is the only one who got double teamed on in last game movie He is the MVP of the movie
It seems to me that Midorima's character is heavily influenced by Stoicism philosophy. He´s always calm and collected, with a deterministic view of the world, and works extremely hard because he understands that ultimately that's the only thing that is within his control.
@@jrbudoybudoy Well, Midorima lives by the proverb "Man Proposes, God Disposes" which I think means that even if man has a primary objective and does everything he can to fulfill that objective, he can only do so much because there is a higher power that determines his fate. There is a similar proverb in our country which goes by "Nasa Diyos ang awa, nasa tao ang gawa" which can be translated to "God gives mercy to those who helps themselves." That's why Midorima's so hell-bent in bringing even the most ridiculous lucky items everyday even if he is very skilled and hardworking. It's so hard to live with that ideology though, working damn hard but believing that the results do not lie with you. To some extent, I live that way but Midorima does it more intensely and I admire him for that.
There should be a spin off with midorima as main character, I mean he is the coolest guy in KNB, he is tall, handsome, awesome technique, cool actitude and the funiest guy.
Notice when Midorima got the ball from Kotaro, he was in perfect position to shoot he was unguarded and they don’t have Kagami’s jumping power. He could have scored an easy three right there but he went down the court so that he could pass to Miyaji so that Miyaji could get the point he deserved. Earlier in the series Midorima was absolute absolute threes being the best point in a basketball game. Against Seirin, when Kagami dunked it was more valuable than a free because what it did for Seirin’s spirit. Midorima has learned and gave up the three so Miyaji could dunk and in turn boost Shutoku’s spirit to play at 100%.
This makes me cry. This makes me cry every damned time. Midorima's smile when Miyaji says nice pass. And dam DID YOU SEE HOW WELL HE DRIBBLED PAST THOSE PLAYERS??? I feel like he's seriously underrated sometimes. He doesn't possess exceptional potential and always does everything humanly possible to ensure victory. He's human. Dammit Midorima you're too good😭
@Dylan Ogega he still went to practice and did not stop aiming to improve like the others who thought they are already the best. He did not join thier "little games" (like scoring 111 in a game) during games. if u cite one example of how he was an asshole... i just might, just might, think ur right
Well its so cool to see how much they have changed.. Here Midorima couldn't bear to listen bad about his teammates.. Murasakibara continued to play against seirin just beacuse himuro.. Kise loves his team so much that he even doesn't care about his own body limit.. Akashi let the emperor go just for the sake of his team.. All of them love their teams but they just dnt show it openly
Well, Akashi is the reason why Seirin made that comeback as well... He had to revert back to his old self because he knew his emperor eye is useless against Tetsuya and Kagami lmao...
In a game between seirin and shutoku, takao had said that smtimes he could see midorima smiling while playing games with the team. Shows hw much kuroko had changed the GOM members.
Near the end of the game when I first watched this match, I was like "wait who's Rakuzan's number 5? Has he been in the game at all?" Wasn't until later that it was explained
No3point missbaby he should like man come on but I think it's only for power forwards like kagami aomine and Murasakibara( don't know if he classifies cause he can score like one but he mainly a center since he lazy) but Akashi may have the potential to be a power forward who knows cause he was able to go into the zone AAAH i don't know but yeah I think it's mainly for power forwards with the exception of the last 2 episodes when akashi's whole team entered the zone because of Akashi side effect of the zone
This man can shoot, fast enough to play defense under the paint, coordinated enough for offense and in another scene, is a master PnR player. GOM players are way too OP lmao
This reminds me of the conversation Kuroko had with Midorima about the value of dunks over threes. It's nice seeing Midorima grow like that. Also, we're so used to seeing him just catch the ball and shoot, it's nice seeing my man on defense and actually dribbling for a change.
