In this video, I change the Throttle Position Sensor on my 2003 Tahoe, but the process will be the same for any of the New Body Style Chevy or GMC trucks, including any 2000-2007 Tahoe, Silverado, Sierra, Yukon, Suburban, etc.
Some of the earlier models have throttle position sensors that have bolts rather than rivets. My truck is like that because it has an aftermarket throttle body. If your truck has rivets, just drill them out like I did with the top fastener in the video.

Did have to program new tps or just plug and play?

They need to be programmed per oem specifications & from what my AllData manual says. I can't Sat either way if that will affect performance either way. Also, don't buy Dorman Parts

It’s a rivet, drill it out. Or use the grinder like he did

Wouldn't metal shavings get in the air intake?

@@tbsundeen Shove a towel or rag in the intake. This isn't rocket science. You're choice is to replace the entire throttle body assembly at a higher cost, this also requires draining coolant and dealing with hoses underneath. Or drill or cut the rivets out and replace just the sensor for less money.
