I love that this entire time Garrett has never changed! From showin off Bailey's car... to now being potentially in competition with him sooner than later. He has kept the same excitement, same drive, and honestly im so dang Proud of him... and his ability to pick HANDS DOWN the best crew to have around himself.... he DEFINITELY deserves all the subs he has and some!

What I love about Mullet: it's like you said. It's a completely legit street car that runs sixes at 200+ mph--but doesn't look awkward on the freeway or in town. Most other cars at that level look weird and out of place on the street. But Mullet belongs there--and also at the track.

If I had kids, the first thing that I would get them to do after turning 7 is to watch all of Cleetus' videos in sequence from start to current, so that they grew up knowing that if you surround yourself with the right people, and put in the hard work and dedication on a career you love, you can do amazing things.

Yep. That LS was puking its guts out trying to hit low 7s. This new engine just keeps pulling and pulling even at the end of the quarter mile. You can clearly hear the difference and it’s not even dialed in that well yet.

Putting it in perspective... 8 sec pass is 8000 milliseconds average blink 150 milliseconds. 2 blinks and you are blind for almost 4% of your run. I would rather have sore eye than blink even once going such speeds 👀

Fun Fact. Findlay, Ohio (the city with the 'Merica storage tank) is the home to Marathon Petroleum Company, the nation's largest oil refiner. That 'Merica storage tank is one of there's and you'll see them painted that way at quite few of their facilities all over the Midwest. Source: I lived in Findlay and worked for Marathon for the better part of 10yrs. Waiting on that 6 video!

I was one of the "haters" who has been suggesting for some time to move on from the LS, it makes me smile from ear to ear seeing you in mullet now, it is impressive what you have done with that platform, and what you continue to do with it in other cars, but you are one hell of a driver, and ADDICTED to freedom, beyond what the LS family is realistically capable of, especially when you push limits like you do. The level of engineering and farbrication that have been put into that ute (I'm an aussie and refuse to call it a truck) deserved another level of powertrain and I can't wait to see where this leads you

A lot of us Americans refuse to call them trucks too. They have always been in a weird spot where we don't have any certain category to fit them in. They use the g-body platform which would make it a car yet it has a bed like a truck. Correct me if I'm wrong but the Holden Commodore Ute is the same way and built on the Zeta platform along with the sedan.

@@marcog3210 No, it has a standard Steve Morris Big Block with the billet intake. Thats it.. But to say "thats it" on a Steve Morris motor is saying A LOT lol... Because its still a 3000hp capable motor... SMX is like 4500-5000hp motor. Next step up pretty much.

I saw the time slips before this video went live, looks like Mullet's finally got the motor! Glad to see that mechanically it's doing really well (aside from the weird return from the last pass). Broke my heart every time seeing ya'll do 1-2 passes and the old LS would be hurt.

Hell yeah man.. and Kevin Smith my man on the keyboard.. working slowly towards a 6 less than 10 total passes into a complete new setup and turned way way down from the shit condition in Edgewater , kinda funny this is like the old setup maxed out needing bearings after 3-5 passes like that. The potential is unreal... Let's go guys... if the prep is there on the last day and nothing broke from the trip hope y'all turn Mullet up a little more and let er eat... Good luck my friends
