I'd love to have been a fly on the wall for that drive.. I kinda wonder if there'll be a Steve Morris engine in one of Cleetus's cars soon. I keep trying to design a car around one of his BBCs, because they're awesome.
Kevin can most likely build whatever ol' Cleet wants. It's still gotta be dialed in and I'm ready to see it whenever he is. I gotta say though, it's still so very impressive to see a dependable "daily driver" running in 7's or 6's!
“If it’s on the weld table don’t pick it up.” The first things I’d tell people in the shops I’d work at. The other was “Don’t use your hand as a hammer.”
@@HappyHarryHardon good rule that one! My general rule is if it's on the welding table, don't even touch it without gloves. It just ain't worth the 5 seconds you save going bare handed when you got no skin! That and assume every part near the machines haven't been deburred and there are chips everywhere, don't need blood all over the shop 😂
I remember when the guy couldn't win a race to save his life. Dude kept making final after final only to lose out until he finally won one. Been nothing but winning ever since.
Kevin’s idea of launching the jet boat off the HumVee has to be your next side project! Imagine the look on people’s face when you pull up to a boat ramp and drive right in.
You know, there are these crazy dads out there that don't actually hate being dads. Kevin seems like a good dad, but he's also a businessman who is smart enough to realize that this much exposure allows him to take better care of his kids.
@@Matty.Hill_87 100% agree with you Matt. I'm a father of two great kids - it's the best job in the world - but that doesn't mean that I, or my kids themselves, don't enjoy our own time doing our own things we enjoy.
As many have said, what makes John Force epic is he is approachable. He is real. You can see it. He knows without the fans, he would not be where he is now. Those are the same things that we respect and see in you Cleet. Keep up the good work! Hell yeah brother!
@@snakebiteparadise5504 a little green wouldn't hurt. It's a pretty monochromatic color scheme. It would definitely stick out like a sore thumb but, wouldn't be a crazy clash. Be good for a Mt Dew ad campaign.... 🤔🤔😂🤣
I met John Force many years ago. He came up and sat with me and my buddy in the stands. My buddy didn't believe it was John Force so I introduced him and John gave us several autographs and even his special John Force Branded Sharpie. Epic!
Yeah... it’s a smooth surface... What do smooth surfaces do when it rubs against a wet surface? It absolutely slips... even if it’s a rough wet surface if there’s an enough amount of liquid it ain’t gonna hook... It’s the reason why Formula 1 cars have “wet” and “dry” tires...
Right! The insane amount of raw drag racing magic in that one building in that one time was off the charts! Hell id even throw Kevin into the mix of race/build talent. You had 2 of the fastest racers alive, 3 of the most legendary racers, the most legendary engine builder alive, multiple master fabricators. Just insane.
Love how clet still fan boys and gets excited over people he's idolised for years just like we do when we meet him or someone we have idolised for years as well, go to show you he's still one of use and that's why I watch he video
@@stevelepeak1052 Agreed!! Dude has earned the right to talk crap to anyone at anytime he wants! It was still funny when he talked about blowing by the turbo guys to all the turbo guys! Dude is a legend
mmmm maybe the younger brother of the godfathers. Talk faster than he drives and he was the fastest at driving. He made funny car better than top fuel.
John Force is an awesome guy. I met him years ago at one of the NHRA Nationals as Lucas Oil Raceway. He took the time to take me back into their garage and show me some of the cool stuff they do behind the scenes. For a kid who was into engineering it was amazing to watch those guys do an engine teardown and rebuild so fast.
Growing up and watching drag racing with my Dad, John Force was always our favorite. When he did the post race interviews, you could tell he was running on pure adrenaline. What am awesome experience that was. So effin cool.
I too grew up watching my dad watch john force. It was that love that got me into drag racing. Whenever my dad and I go to a national event I love getting to see the drivers especially John Force, but my favorite part is always how excited my dad is to see him!
That was great Cleetus showing Steve Morris and Tom Bailey the new technology for drag week successful videos and comfort, with the cool/warm shirts and car-to-car communication.
"we wouldnt be doing this, i promise you, without [tom baileys] car" "maybe on a different path, but..." clearly garrett knows just how lucky he is to be in the position he's in, and that just makes me want to support him more do it for ED!
John Force has been my favorite guy on the planet since I was a little kid. Absolute legend. I'd of pulled that turbo right there in the parking lot and put it in a display box
@Clëëtus McFãrlãnd Fake Cleetus, your crypto spam is not impressive, you should take it somewhere else since no one here will follow you, only report you as a spammer thief.
Cleetus: "Yeah that runs 6s." John Force: "Lol I run 6s on my way to the bathroom." (It still blows my mind that they're running 3-4s passes now, regardless of the shortened track).
John Force was actually my neighbor back in Cali. he built his mansion on the top of a hill just down the street. lol. He also held car shows at one of his shops in anaheim hills. Nice guy
I remember meeting John Force and his family when they sat behind me at the drag strip in Topeka, it was very educational to listen to him and Austin Coil talk about the cars going down the track. That man has never forgot where he came from and is as down to earth as you can get. Love that 61 Impala at Walt's too.
Okay, if I don't see a video driving the Humvee completely underwater at a boat launch with the jet boat on the roof, I am gonna be very disappointed. 😂 The reactions would be amazing.
I love seeing Steve out there with the racers hands on most people don't know but that's a big secret to why he builds some of the best engines in the world and it's been that way for years very few engines builders can say that!
My family has been in drag racing for a long time. My grandpa Walt Rhoades is in the NHRA hall of fame, my dad tunes for a championship alcohol dragster driven by Chris demke, and I’ve been driving juniors since I’ve been little. It’s so cool to see people meet John force and get excited because I was the exact same way when I was little.
John Force: check Now, explain to me just WHY Big Daddy hasn't showed up on the channel. Is it really that far to Ocala from your home. ?? I might be an old fart, but Garlits was dominating the sport (and did so for YEARS) while Force was learning to ride tricycles... Just sayin'.... He IS a Florida man, after all....the ORIGINAL Swamp Rat....😎
Was passing a bunch of you all on 69 north of indy yesterday fun to see all the cars. Actually chatted with David and Tina a little when we were all getting gas, nice people. Wish you all best of luck
Cleetus should DEFINITELY buy a nano coat for the windshield, those things are amazing when you have no wipers, the water just slips away even when standing and on low speeds
Just something about watching y'all do this event, and driving through my neck of the woods makes me so happy. Seeing ya drive through the trees and prairies is awesome. Greetings from small town Ohio, about 2 hours south of Norwalk 🤟🏻
@@nickhigh100 I'm guessing they only put one application on it when they were complaining about it which is why they said they were going to do another application. The first time putting it on it never works as well as the second application.
He already has an Aviation LLC, (People register aircraft under LLC to limit liability) so I'm assuming he already bought one. Look up beef aviation florida. It's all public record.
My grandparents use to breed Dobermans and the force family were one of there customers. Use to go to the drags and hang out in John forces pits as a youngster. Super fun an cool dude
I've always thought John force would be a cool ass guy even cooler that he thought the elco was bad ass... when a guy that does top fuel says your street cars bad ass.... it's truly bad ass
I love how loosely the term street car is applied to the cars. I mean, I get it, they pass all the requirements (often just barely), yet they're rolling around with sometimes over 2,000hp on tap. It's crazy.
@@zachaliles the 2000hp isnt as big as an issue as no wipers, defroster, license plate lights, the list goes on. Why not put headlights on a jet car,& allow it?!
@@justaguy9776 They have license plate lights, but the rest they don't. Kevin mentioned the License plate lighting in the build stuff, the big one that gets me is the lack of Wipers, but then I'm an Aussie and the cars wouldn't pass a road worthy certificate full stop with out wipers here sa you have to meet the Australian Design Rules to be road legal..
@@starfleetau I havent seen plate lights on the rear of Garrett's car, or Tom's. But I could of missed it. Point was thou, Huayra's, Agera's, V-spec skyline, the list goes on of cars illegal in the usa. Because they didnt meet some dumb ass requirement. But they can drive these 'street cars" down the road w/o wipers, & call them"street cars" like GTFO with that nonsense. If I drive a semi through Ohio with a burnt out bulb, they red tag it til I got fixed. But the "cops" be gagging Cleetus blow off valve. RIDICULOUS!
Awesome to see that John force is still humble and cool! I met him a few times at Englishtown and Maple Grove for the NHRA finals when I was younger. I have a shirt that I got him to sign almost every single year
