I have this model.....bought it in 2017, and it has been the best vacuum I've ever owned. I bought it at a local shop.....I have lung issues and required the best filtration I could get....they sold many different brands and models, including far higher priced units, and this is the one they highly recommended.....and I couldn't have been happier with it. The bags and hepa filter are pricey, but you can find good deals online for them......and it's totally worth it.
Love love love my meile . It’s identical to this one . I also have a dyson and although it’s a good vacuum as well , my lil meile I feel outshines it in numerous ways
Yes and I got it for a steal at a local pallet store . They had no idea what they had and at time I wasn’t familiar with it . I got it for 125$ and a couple weeks earlier I purchased I got a dyson mini ball multi floor for 75$ . Both was brand knew only the boxes was damaged .

No the 890 watt power efficiency motor is actually stronger than the Vortex 1200 motor. Sinds 2017 vortex are only made for USA! The 550 watt is as powerfull as this machine one silent setting
Not really the cleaning tests are done with the standard switchable head: in europe the allteq / airteq are outdated it’s currently the Ecoteqplus head and a new one currently without a name but in order to pick sand and grit up it’s now closer to the ground
all the Miele bag collars are the same and fit in every vacuum. the only difference is the bag shape/material attached to the collar. I've fit U bags in a GN machine in a pinch, FJM in a GN and U. all the same
Very interesting so you prefer the standard hardwood floor attachment over the twister one ? I was thinking about getting the twister one for more maneuverability and the larger head, but now wondering if it’s worth it. Thanks for any advice
However, if I really need to clean some filthy carpet prior to hot water extraction I still prefer old direct air machines like a Sanitaire, Kirby, or Riccar Brilliance. The CFM's in those machines just can't be beat by a bypass machine.
We have a Kirby Sentria II thats rarely used and so cumbersome, heavy, and hard to use attachments. Love to trade it for a Miele cannister. Do you know of any vacuum trade programs?
Good question! I just looked that model up. It does come with the same excellent power head. Either machine would be a great choice! In terms of how they function, they're nearly identical. The C2 may be a hair smaller, but they're both very compact and light canisters.
In terms of maintenance, is this machine costly? You mentioned the SEB 228 power head retailing in the $200 range, and I’m wondering how often these power heads have issues or have to be replaced beyond the warranty period in your experience?
They're low maintenance. They have a lifetime belt, and the brushroll bristles will last several years before they need to be replaced. It's a great power head, cleans really well.
@@VacTech1 Other than size/weight, tool storage and power selection buttons vs dial, is there any significant benefit to a C3 Kona over this C2 Electro +? Is the C3 Kona worth the extra money? Thank you, again for your responses!
@@sarahoakley2885 personally, I like the smaller lighter C2 over the C3, but the C3 is an excellent product. Outside of what you mentioned, on the C3 the hose is easier to remove (it's one easy step instead of 2, but neither are bad). It may have a longer cord too, but that I'm unsure of. Make sure that whichever model you get, you get one of their full-size powerheads, for best carpet cleaning results.
I just purchased my first Miele C2. Do I need to use the smaller attachment for hardwood floors, or can I use the bigger turbo attachment for both carpet and hardwood?
I would use the separate included hard floor tool for hard floors, as it will do a better job. The power nozzle (or turbo nozzle depending on the model you bought), can be used, but they wont work quite as well, as those are geared more towards rugs. Does your model have a way to turn off the brushroll? I would turn it off if you can, before using it on bare floors.
I just got my hands on this model, but the vacuum hose and the handle broke. Do you know any sites where I could get my hands on these parts? I don’t like third-party options.
Sounds like you'll need a new hose. I'm sure you can buy it online from vac shop sites, but if you contact any local vac shops that are Miele dealers, they'll be able to help too.
