Just bought this machine yesterday, and I'm very impressed already! Everything explained in the video is accurate, and the suction so powerful, it actually lifted my area rug off the floor ( I had to turn the power down to do the job). Excellent vacuum so far!
currently looking for a vacuum and while Miele appears to be the best in many regards their models lack the most essential feature for me a switch on the handle to turn the vacuum on and off which is very disappointing. I hate using my feet to control the vacuum. I vacuum a lot surfaces like tables and shelves with things on them. Often small items and nylon bags get accidentally sucked or the high suction power crushes or rips soft things like magazine covers in which case it is important to turn off the vacuum instantly but going to the foot controls is far from ideal. They have only one canister model with handle control Miele Bagless CX1 Blizzard Cat & Dog which is their most expensive vacuum for many other features that I don't need and I don't have cats and dogs.
Questions: 1. Does it have the AUTO setting like the old Alize? 2. Does it have the "turn off" feature when it is in park (when you park the handle in it)? 3. Does it have the cushioned front wheel like the old Alize? 4. I do not need an electric powerhead, I just need a regular powerhead but I really need the lighted handle which I am not sure if this one has.

@@vacuumwarehouse Thank you, but I don't need any of the electric power brushes. Hard surface floors only. I still want all of those features without the electric power brushes. I guess Miele had other ideas.
Can a person purchase an electronic attachment to clean stairs with this machine? I'm finding miele so confusing. My Kenmore died and it had more attachments
