See why Miele wands are SO GREAT! They are not like any normal vacuum cleaner wand! They are built to last. Contact us for more info on Miele German made vacuum cleaner systems info@blakemansewvac.com 307-234-4581
A telescoping wand is a great feature only if it works properly. What would be very helpful to many Miele owners is how to repair the button that holds the telescoping tube in proper position. My C3 Complete Brilliant is only 2 years old and the original telescoping wand won't stay extended.
Great vacuum, but telescoping want button mechanism is garbage. I own two Miele's and they both have wands that no long hold position. If you want to make a useful video, show us how to repair the wand.
Any luck with getting a video made on the repair? The button is not the problem with mine, but the internal stop fittings need replacing. Can this part be replaced?
@@sewmorethanvacuums-cheyenn3207 I ordered a replacement push button directly from Miele and it seems to be missing the spring. Aside from that, the part itself looks like it won't fit my older model vacuum.... so frustrating
My button broke as well. I did go to the Miele site and found a local repair place. Here is a link on how to change out the part. It is like $11 plus shipping ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--bki-OxXQm0.html
The wand on mine has broken twice with normal use. If you search net, it's a common problem -- one that Miele won't acknowledge or help with. Replacement wand is $115. "Built to last"? What a joke.
Take your wand off the hose part, l could not remove the head. Then holding the button to retract bang the open end on the floor. It worked for me and l got it retracted all the way with two sharp hits. Hit it on a carpet though as to not hurt your hardwood floor.
Any insight into how to install a stronger spring? I have a C3 that is about one hour old and the wand does not hold its position... Many sites and responses on the web seem to indicate the wand must be worn out, but this is impossible as it’s brand new!
Totally agree. Lovely feel product, but the extension button is by far the worst piece of manufacturing quality I've seen on a vacuum. Within our family we have 3, and all 3 have broken. Stuck at full extension. It might be possible to buy spares, but I'm yet to find an owner of this wand who doesn't have to replace this button. Could you do a repair video. Would be great, or maybe even better try to persuade the manufacturer to send everyone who registered a warrantee with these things a new part.
I’m having this exact same issue! Is there a solution? I’m happy to rig something up. Love the vacuum otherwise but this is insanely annoying (and perplexing) for a vacuum that costs as much as this does. My thoughts are that it should be possible to install a stronger spring.
The wand looks nice and feels solid, but I agree with the other reviewers, it has a serious design problem. It doesn't hold up. The button controlling the telescoping seems to be the problem. Our wand is now stuck is the fully extended position - will have to replace it at $$$.
Did your wand ever actually hold its position correctly though? I'm bringing my C3 to a repair center that does Miele, and they're going to replace it. If the replacement wand does the same thing then I'll be hugely disappointed.
Glad to know I'm not the only one having problems with the wand. I am on my second miele c3 excellence and the wand just won't hold its position when vacuuming carpet. The second one will have to go back to the store. Was expecting way better quality from miele
Great vacuum, high quality Yes I agree however The wand button ! you do not talk about the wand button. And how it clicks in place when you extend it . And how once you actually begin to vacuum carpet the wand button does not keep the wand extended. Very difficult to actually vacuum carpet. My experience it does not keep the wand extended to any length. The wand button does not work It is completely defective I have a brand new “complete C3 Excellence “ Perhaps when you are showing pride in that wand, you could discuss the button that is very likely to not click in place, or keep it clicked in place Therefore needing a new wand or replacing the button that does not keep the wand extended.
I am looking for a fix for the same problem as described many times below. The telescoping wand won't stay up. It keeps sliding down and then back up etc. I have pinched my fingers on this dang thing enough times now to try to find the solution. No vids on youtube but the comments on this vid explain the same issue. Is duct taping it the only solution?? You said you would work toward making a video on the repair. Does it exist?? I want to fix it and not tape it if I don't have to. Thank you!
I found a replacement button on the miele site and here is a link on RU-vid on how to replace. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--bki-OxXQm0.html
The telescoping wand is crap - it uses a curly cord inside the wand, which catches all kinds of stuff. once you start get material building up on it, it is "game over". All it takes is one twig from outside, or some long hairs - and the wand gets clogged. This means that EVERY time I use it, I have to constantly check for clogs. And 50% of the time when someone else uses this in the house for a task, afterwards I find it clogged, which means whatever task they were doing needs to be redone.
Love my C3 Complete, but the telescoping electric want is simply junk, and very expensive to replace. I'm on #3, and I treat the vacuum cleaner very gently.
I’ve had my Miele for about a year . That telescoping mechanism is absolute RUBBISH. It has packed it in already and will not lock into place . I’ve had other brands of vacuums that were 30 years old and their locking mechanisms still work . build to last .????. I’m sorry that is a joke .. show us how to fix the wand or Miele company listen to the consumer and design that thing so it doesn’t break ! I called the company .. they passed me off to a repair shop . A 700+$ vacuum SHOULD NOT START NEEDING REPLACEMENT PARTS AFTER A YEAR !!!
Not my experience. This is a low quality product, has been gently used only yet the plastic bracket connector detached from the tube and now the tube is useless. No repair parts, we have to get a whole new wand for over $120.
