Hi, great practical video. We have a similar model which wasn’t getting hot. In our case it was the thermostat which is the flat thing that the heating wires go into and out of. It was open circuit. I think it is designed to cut out if the unit overheats. Following other advice I removed it, gave it a whack and it reset it so it showed closed circuit. Refitted and now hot. We’ll see how it holds up.
Right so with the perfect dry it uses a sensor to detect the amount of moisture on the clothes so it doesn’t over dry under dry the stuff you put in it I presume the stuff was already dry so that’s why it stopped only one minute into the cycle if you selected warm air drying instead of cotton program it won’t use the perfect dry and it will just heat up with the amount of minutes you selected so you can either do it like that or if you put some wet stuff in it from the washing machine into the dryer and then put it on the perfect dry which is on cottons and so on then it should work
I pulled my Miele open today and the electrical diagrams are tucked away inside the cabinet and I've owned this from brand new (17 years) and everything is still going nice, but I was looking to figure out how to get the front panel off because the removalists broke it 5 years ago, but I have a 3D printer now and was planning on 3D printing a new panel. Search on youtube for Miele tumbledriers and those 2 metal strips are for the sensors. The drier will detect there is no moisture and switch off almost immediately, you need something that needs drying! The cutting off of the power cord - I think that's a UK legal thing...must cut the plug off everything that isn't new if you are selling it or disposing of it.
try the timed drying (Warm air). It seems as if the dryer is not detecting a load and switching to finished. With timed drying it doesn't do any sensing. It will go and then do a direction change from memory and at that point the heating will kick in.
My issue there is that if I bodge it together I wouldn't want to sell it, I don't think it is right. And I have the new gas dryer and I still have a Bosch WTA 2000. SO I really don't want another.
Hello T7644C Miele Dryer's airways gives a warning to clean and the machine stops. We cleaned the filters but it still gives a warning and the machine stops. What could be the problem?
It seems to be in the program. Try resetting the program to factory default. Pls try the following steps: Before you begin, ensure that: - The tumble dryer is switched off. - The door is closed. Press the Start/Stop button and keep it pressed in whilst carrying out steps -. Switch the dryer on. Wait until the Start/Stop button lights up constantly (solid) ... . . . and then release the Start/Stop button. Press the Low temperature button seven times. - The Low temperature indicator light will flash 9 times briefly. A number to show which option is selected will appear in the display alternating with the letter P. 0 implies Memory deactivated (factory default setting) 1 implies Memory activated (the Automatic plus indicator light will also flash) Pressing the Start/Stop button switches between the options. (0 or 1). You need to put the machine on 0 (zero). After selecting 0, Switch the dryer off. The setting you have selected is now stored in memory. You can change it again at any time. Please let me know if that works..
Anyone watching this looking for answers for a miele not heating up, if your sensors are good and the heating element is giving the right readings, check the big relay switches on the top corner pcb. Mine stopped heating because of one so I replaced both of them.
I have miele dryers. It will never run on a program without laundry for any longer than yours did. The thing on top of the dryer is for sensing dryness. It messures via the drumbaffles how dry the laundry is. If the carbon is worn down they need to be replaced. You need to set it to timedry to se if the element will heat up. I am no miele tec but have had miele machines for 20 years and it is the only brand in washer dryer and dishwasher I will buy. Now I have w 1714 pw 6080 washers and t 7644 pt 7186 dryer first of each are domestic and second professional.
Can anyone help me with this dryer ? well Miele T8164wp eco comfort they both pretty similar , it’s a heat pump one. I had that and a Miele washer w3240 to both for £50 quid. that floods when it’s goes to drain out pisses out underneath and cuts out I think that’s a broken pipe or something come off as it was like a tsunami 🌊 in my kitchen coming from underneath it. But this heat pump dryer confuses me (never had one) but both for 50 quid I was willing to fix them up make some cash but sold the machine to my sister once fix the leak! But I want to keep the Miele dryer and sell my beko condenser dryer witch I find brilliant for a cheeper one. But why isn’t it warming up at all ? It’s all clear now but I can’t find heat how do I fix this ? What’s the problem do they have ? It’s a strange dryer and the heaviest dryer in the world lol.
I had a few novotronics that I thought would be good, when they break the parts are very expensive. Very very. I ended up scrapping them. I reckon older Bosch Machines are better, easier to repair and easier to get parts for. As far as I am concerned, all machines are equally good at laundry, but the mieles have a better build finish.
Weird problem I think this is a pcb fault as I have seen a washing machine do it but all the lights lit up. Ik ur probs thinking how could it be a pc when the lights not on? Well maybe it’s blown? I personally think it’s a pcb as I’ve seen a washer do it as I have said or maybe it’s the heater u could try and test the heater (240v to know properly? Instead of doing what u did?)to see if it is as it could be possible and I had a problem with our old tumble dryer that I bricked (the vid will be uploaded soon) when we moved water got in the back and kept throwing the electrics but this doesn’t do that unless it is but the machine stops soon as detected as I’m sure this machine has all crazy sensors on it
Heat pumps use heat, hence the name heat pump. The dont use an element to produce heat, instead the use whats simplified described as air conditioning technology
