Thanks again! Great watching you address all things Miele. I have several Miele vacs (purchased used) - a classic Red Star, a late-model Marin C3, a U1 Dynamic Dog & Cat (why no more bagged upright?), a Quickstep, and now two HX1s. The second Triflex got me an additional battery and the smaller head accessory. Though in retrospect, I might rather have one HX2 than two HX1s. My first used HX1 had an issue with the brush head bearing (I think you mentioned the issue in the video). The brush motor itself was still fine, but my local Miele guy said they don't supply the bearing assembly apart from the motor. He was frustrated that In his own shop he had to replace several units with the same issue. He got me the part and I did the repair myself. It works great. In large part due to your thorough reviews, explanations, repair demos, etc., I am confident in what I feel comfortable doing myself and and not doing myself at home. For example, I disassembled/reassembled the Quickstep but would not brave the timing adjustment on the U1. A few questions: 1. Might you do a video on the Triflex brush head motor repair at some point? 2. Is the new style HEPA filter (with the internal twist to clean feature) compatible with the first-generation Triflex HX1? 3. Might the stronger and more efficient main motor in the Triflex 2 ever be able to be installed in the first-generation Triflex HX1?
Having a bagless stick vacuum, I do regret purchasing it and not getting one of Miele’s C3. They are so much maintenance and just gets to dirty and nasty. Great video, you’re the best.
It's never too late to get a C3. I've seen a few used ones pop up on local used marketplaces lately. I've always been a big fan of having my cake and eating it too
Miele's use of sound deadening is second to none, and it's easy to implement to. I don't understand why all manufacturers don't use it. Dyson, for example, is a company with unlimited amounts of money. How much would it cost to incorporate sound deadening in their vacuums? Sebo could do better too. Love the soothing music!
Nice video, you’re quite a handy guy. We own a Triflex HX2 and my lovely daughter wanted to suck up a small amount of water from the floor and she did….Now the middle led of the three is flashing when you start the Miele. Do you know how to restart or reset the Miele? I tried everything, compressed air, hairdryer…keeps flashing.
@@PerformanceReviews I have a HX2 and it’s probably my favourite vacuum I have. It’s great and hoping to look after it and keep the performance going as long as I can so I’ll be looking to replace it when it’s due. I had a HX1 but upgraded as suction is much better and the soft roller is great on hard floors.
