what that shows is that the miele isolates better, i.e. it is more efficient. You want suction underneath the brush, not outside.

The Miele discontinued their upright vacuums.

Sure the Riccar would clean carpets better than the Miele but the Miele would filter better and clean all surfaces more than the Riccar.

Both brands are able to achieve the same level of filtration down to 0 particles. The Riccar as Miele uprights dominate in carpet and floor cleaning.

Yes they both filter excellent but the Riccar isn't completely sealed like the Miele all the way around, that's why I said that the Miele is better at filtering and cleaning dust on all surfaces. I used to work at several vacuum shops and the Riccar/Simplicity wasn't my first choice to recommend for consumers that wanted something to help with their allergies. There's also proof that these tandem air vacuums have areas where the particle counters was able to catch any dust that leaked out of them.
