Engine run up, it's standard for any aircraft. He is mostly testing to make sure the engines seem to be running normally, you really don't want to find out halfway though your takeoff run that your engine is acting up.
Da liegst du falsch ...MiG - 25 flog über 4000 km/ h und besitzt neu einige Weltrekorde, was heutige Maschinen nicht schlagen können... Mitte 70 Jahre flog über Israel und die konnten nix gegen MiG was unternehmen...bei MIG-25 sind auch Titan und andere Materialen verwendet worden ...

After landing, the pilots thought they would be rewarded, but they were reprimanded for shooting them down without a command from the ground.
