"Do what you feel is best for you" - that's nice to say, but every time i do that, i get destroyed few hours into the game :D I don't have problem with the difficulty in this game... i have problem with my lack of knowledge that always leads me to question if some skills are even worth investing points into. For example i like to play Knight, Paladin, Cleric, Sorcerer. Say, if i choose to master the following... Knight - Sword, Shield, Body Building, Perception, Bow, Plate Armor, Learning. Paladin - Spear, Bow, Body Building, Plate, Disarm Traps, Merchant, Spirit, Learning. Cleric - Mace, Shield, Body, Spirit, Mind, Bow, Chain Armor, Meditation, Learning. Sorcerer - Dagger, Leather, Bow, Air, Fire, Water, Meditation, Learning. if i want to master all these skills for my party, will there be enough xp in the game to do so, before the end? I mean enough xp without waiting for areas to respawn, no xp grinding in other words. What skills would you recommend for a party like mine? What should i focus on first? And if i have to sacrifice some of these skills, which ones?
Oof, that is quite a wall of text. :D Answer incoming, TLDR on bottom. If you HAVE to stick with KPCS, I would suggest shifting all/most misc. skills to Knight; magic skills are the most "expensive" to master in terms of skill points, and you don't really need a very high disarm trap/perception/repair item skill. Merchant *could* be raised above its master requirement, but it is optional. So, first thing I would do is just dump most misc. skills on K. By lategame, your knight will be your last standing member in case something goes bad, because damage wise, K and P are below average, unless you have an insanely high Axe/Spear skill and are in melee range. Give P a shield/offhand weapon (I preffer weapon because in lategame, armor class just isn't that important) to go with his spear, having him as your spirit magic master is fine so your C can focus on body magic. C - if you use P for spirit magic, you don't need it on cleric as well. Use the points for mind magic (although mind is useless imho)/meditation. Also, WHY NO DARK MAGIC? :D S - Not much to say here; if you really want only the most important "utility" spells, mastering air+water is enough, since fire magic mostly has offensive magic, Also, WHY NO DARK MAGIC? :D I guess it also depends if you want to have possible mastered (I like to play with having access to all possible spells in the game etc.), but in terms of "need to get" skills, the above is pretty accurate. Since the K doesn't need a lot of points for weapon/armor skills, he is best suited for having all/most misc. skills. Only thing everyone needs is bow and learning skill. :) TLDR: my "optimal" skill selection for KPCS: K - Axe/Spear (Axe has better DPS above lvl 20 skill, Spear gives you armor class) + Dagger/Sword (I preffer dagger for Mordred), Bow, Plate, Body Building, Disarm Trap, Perception, Repair Item, Merchant (OPTIONAL ON HIM OR ON P), Learning. P - Axe/Spear + Dagger/Sword (same reasons as with K), Bow, Plate, Spirit magic, Body Building, Meditation (optional if you cast a lot of spells), Learning, Merchant (OPTIONAL ON HIM OR K) C - Mace, Bow, Shield, Chain. Body magic, Light magic (or on S, you only need one for Divine Intervention and buffs), Dark magic (100% get this for damage), Body building (optional), Meditation, Learning S - Dagger, Bow, Leather, Air, Water, Light (or give to C for reasons above), Dark (see above :D), Meditation, Learning TLDR2: my "I like to master everything possible" skill selection for KPCS: K - Axe+Dagger (Mordred), Bow, Plate, Disarm Trap, Repair Item, Body Building, Perception, Merchant, Learning P - Axe+Dagger/Sword (depends on loot drops), Bow, Plate, Spirit, Mind, Body, Meditation, Body building, Learning C - Mace, Bow, Shield, Chain, Spirit, Mind, Body, Light, Dark, Meditation, Body Building, Learning S - Dagger, Bow, Leather, Air, Water, Fire, Earth, Dark, Light, Meditation, Body Building, Learning. I guess that's my answer. I hope I made it as clear as possible; really the main point is if you REALLY want to optimise your skill point use, you have to know which magics/weapons are worth it (Bow is necessary, Axe>Spear>>>>>>>>>>other weapons, offhand weapon (sword, dagger) >>> shield, dark magic is best lategame dps etc...) but there is fun in experimenting. :) Anyway, I hope this helps. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask (or should I maybe do a KPCS playthrough?! :D). :)
@@chrysantheme5348 Thank you very much, it helps a lot. I didn't mentioned Dark/Light magic, because as far as i know they are late game skills and i've never experienced late game :D. My only experience with the MM6 is 2 attempts which i ended up abandoning 8-10 hours into the game, when i realized that i'm not doing it right and i started dying a lot. I also have one attempt at MM7 with similar results... but i'm learning little by little, by asking helpful people like you. So i'm not done yet, i really want to complete and master MM 6, 7 and 8... i know 9 is bad and 10 just doesn't have that old school look that i find so refreshing these days, because i've never experienced these games in the 90's even though i was around during that era (just didn't knew a single word in english at the time to be playing complex rpgs, so that's why). Now i even got all of the first 5 MM games through a limited edition, so one day i might venture there as well... i just love the way the 6,7,8 trilogy looks, love the atmosphere... it's just a bit too complex for me at the time, even though i've been used to playing hard RPG's like the first two Gothic games which are my favorite games of all time, but also completely different in style. Once again, than you for taking the time to reply.
@@Soulfly415 Absolutely no problem, friend, I am SUPER glad you enjoy Might and Magic. :) You could try and look at a few of my MM6 episodes, in the beginning I talk a lot about the game mechanics, so you can probably get some tips from there. And if that won't help, I could always stream some MM6 (I stream on Twitch but have an irregular stream schedule) and you can join in and ask away. :)
@@chrysantheme5348 Sure, i definitely will watch parts of your walk not only now, but as i go through the game. Normally i avoid videos games before i play them, because of spoilers, but i've already been through the first two main areas of the game in my previous attempts, so that's not a problem. I'm not the most consistent twitch viewer, but i'll gladly follow you there. It's the same link from your youtube channel info right?
