A video for mm7 from a day ago :O for a game that came out in 99. I never expected this, especially since i just picked up plying it like a week ago for nostalgia reasons XD. Increadible dedication :)
Good to see somebody explaining all the spells in MM7. But I think you underestimated the paralyze spell. It's very useful because it's light magic damage which many monsters you will be fighting on the light path for instance those in the pit have very little resistance for it. Paralysing a few and then fighting the rest can make your life much easier.
How do you rank ice blast C tier and shrap metal S tier? They both have 9 shards at GM and ice blast each shard do 12+ d6 while shrap metal has 9 shards and each do d6. So technically ice blast do more damage . And water is a better type of damage than dark because Necromancers are immune to dark damage.
The only problem is ice blast explodes 360 degree while shrap metal explodes 120 degree so you can hit one target with more shards with shrap metal but ice blast also doesn’t require you to walk up to the target.
And mass distortion is not C tier. I saw a post says 4 archer with 60 bow is the highest damage dealing team which is wrong the highest damage dealing team is 4 sorcerer with level 60 mass distortion you can just smash the quick spell button and everything in MM7 besides earth elements and golums will die. But of course if you play the game normal pace , or have some so called “balanced party” with melee dead weights you don’t have the point to go earth magic GM. But I’m only speaking from a maximized point of view you can try it yourself
