It is probably just a reference to them but it would be great to get a VR Troopers crossover. Looks unlikely though. BOOM! Studios' will lose the rights to Power Rangers next year so, I don't think there'd be enough time to introduce them.
I believe that drakkon isn't going to be the green ranger. It could be a misdirect because he's going to be with the Omega rangers in their own book and I love the new dark rangers
I was gonna say the same thing about Drakkon. I think this is all a misdirect since he is gonna be with the Omega Rangers, as you said, and I still personally think the Green Ranger will be Matt. Billy contemplated giving up the Blue Ranger powers to Matt back in Go Go since he thought he’d be a better fighter. Plus, the fact that he has been reintroduced in MMPR after being exclusively a Go Go character. Add in the fact that he randomly is a friend of Rocky as well as his past connection to Billy and Kim. And lastly, speaking of Kim, I could see him adding some interesting dynamics because of his relationship to Kim. I think it’s clear he is still in love with her, at least to a degree, and imagine how Tommy would feel having his girlfriend’s ex on the team using a powered up version of his old powers
It would line up with the canon. There was never another green ranger other than the clone in the main canon. I guess if Drakkon takes the mantle, it'll explain away the newfoud power as he would sacrifice himself or change his ways and return to his world a "good guy".
Yeah I think if they really want to shake things up they should make Violet the green ranger. The movie wanted to give us a female green ranger well, now's the perfect opportunity to introduce one.
