Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Ritas Rewind - Trailer Analysis 

There is an empty green cart in that rollercoaster ride thingie. Which means Tommy is going to be there as an unlockable character.

As someone who grew up with the original Power Rangers, this game has my interest. They have the original five rangers, I'm digging the smaller sprites like the ones Double Dragon Gaiden have, and it seems to be a game "for the fans" with a lot of references and easter eggs. I'll be looking forward to more information and hopefully a demo sometime soon. Thanks, Savino!

Trying to remember if the original Power Rangers beat em ups had a lot of variety between each Ranger and I don't think they did, save each rangers unique weapon? Though I think there was some merit for that in the game back then since their goals then was to draw in a wide audience of young fans who didn't really need much variety as long as the characters played the same so that none was better / worse and got fans upset, plus it made the game easy to learn for newcomers. After all, Turtles in Time is some of the slickest, most polished beat-em-up fun of the SNES, and the most variety we had there was each turtles individual range and damage output + desperation move. But a retro throwback in the modern era definitely needs more to draw people in... and in that way I'm actually glad to see the different on-rails sections and first person mecha-boxing sequences. Partially because they seem to be drawing inspiration from the Mystical Ninja games of all places for the mech-fights, which is hypertuned to appeal to me so there's that, but also because even if those sequences may take time and effort that might steal depth from the regular fighting gameplay, I am personally a fan of games that may be more shallow than truly dedicated single-genre games, but have enough variety that you don't feel like you're just eating a varied buffet, some racing, some beltscrolling, some boxing etc. Even if each piece isn't as cooked as the other, the variety sometimes helps make it all tastier than if you have a table with just one thing. Of course, that's highly situational and doesn't always work out. I'm just saying that the charm of variety can sometimes help overcome the lack of total polish for me. But we shall see how this ends up as the final product.

I’m super excited, always been a power rangers fan, and specifically a power rangers beat em up fan after having mighty morphin the movie on sega genesis. I do hope the characters have good variety and I do hope all the non beat em up segments stay short and sweet, but other than that, I think it has good potential. I can tell it’s gonna play very similar to shredder’s revenge with everything going on, so as long as they keep up the same kind of enemy variety, I’ll at least be happy. No matter what I’m gonna like what this game is, but I’ll always hope that what it is, is a good beat em up over a good power rangers game.

I'm up for it. I think Toxic crusaders looks better though at this stage.

thanks for the breakdown dude and no air juggles kinda sucks but im still gonna buy it i'm sure it won't be very expensive, i grew up watching the mighty morphin saga so a bit of nostalgia can't hurt.....and to your question the rangers all have there own abilities and weapons in the show they don't all fight the same shame the game doesn't convey that too well

Lots of similarities to Shredder's Revenge: The rooftop stage with the billboards, a stage taking place at a fair, the somersault dodge, the anti-air uppercut, the double jump followed up by the down attack. It looks promising though, I'm cautiously optimistic.

7:05 the main issue with this is the game needs to be "source accurate" (something which harms any game). Power Rangers fights Putties like 85% of the time (or more) :(

This game even had my wife excited to play. So it has some kind of "it" factor going for it

Digital Eclipse is generally known for porting old arcade games to modern consoles. They may have been the first studio to do that. They’ve been around since the 4th generation. So they’re a known commodity. Just never knew them to actually develop their own games though.

I'm not hyped. But I'm liked what I see. Hopes for the best!

I think this is the best looking up coming beat em' up, actually. admittedly I didn't look too closely at the details of the gameplay but even then it's very early. The seeming lack of a juggle system doesn't matter necessarily, either. Shredders Revenge has a juggle system and Streets of Rage 2 does not. Guess which one has vastly more depth to the gameplay? the main concern i have is that this will be a button masher type beat em up like shredder's revenge

como falei no meu vídeo, eu achei o combate desse jogo bem parecido com o Shredder's Revenge. O que pode ser bom, se cada personagem for diferente como em Shredder's Revenge. Eu joguei o Space Jam e achei bacaninha. Ele tem umas mecânicas únicas e é bem curtinho. É interessante, mas nada fora da curva

I dunno, it looks ok. Slightly more flashy than that upcoming G.I. Joe game. Beats of Power still at the top for me even though it’s a fanmade game

Hope there are 5 different characters. Even though they look similar visually, each one has a martial art style and we are no longer in 16 bits to need to make 5 characters the same. Power Rangers Legacy War is a great representation of each character and their fighting style. Personally, I don't like this style of art. It always reminds me of lazy work.

it gives vibes of recent TMNT, and not in a good way. if it will not give me reasons to play beyond the campaign, I will just pirate it to spend those 2-3 hours and move on
