The best aspect of the game is that you got to play out parts from both the movie and the show, with stages that mixed play as the Rangers and the Zords. They didn't save the Zords for only the final level or even completely omit them like other PR games have done.
I've always liked the music from this game. MIDI remixes of the songs used in the series. Plus, I have always been a big fan of beat 'em ups. I played this game lots of times when I was younger and beat it everytime.
This is a Classic.i used to play this alot when i was younger and i actually did beat the game when i was 7..it was a bit easy=) but still i think this is a great Sega Genesis game =) and ofc the best Pr game Ever made

I really love this game, but it's amazingly short. I don't consider myself good at the game at all, yet I somehow still managed to beat it in only about one hour without dying a single time.
Loved how Sega put the Fight song, Green/White ranger theme, Lord Zedd's theme, We Need a Hero, White Ranger Tiger Power, and of course the power rangers theme.
In honor of the 20th Anniversary,they should do a fighting game or a side-scrolling beat-'em-up with the previous 19 Ranger teams & next season's team. That would be epic.
I find it kind of amazing (even though I haven't played either game) that the Super Nintendo game Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the Movie doesn't seem to have stuff from the movie whereas this game looks strictly based on the movie.

Once again, this wasn't an attempt at a speed run. Read the description. It clearly states that it is a normal run, meaning that I played it at normal pace. I didn't try to beat it in any certain time. My runs aren't for any contest.

The thing I never understood about this game was the fact that Goldar still had his wings when he was big. He had has wings when he was normal size, but he never had his wings on, nor did he fly in the air when he was a giant.
Hey that's awesome, having never played this game It's great to hear that they took songs straight from the show and put it in here. The first stage has the song Fight. which was used a hell of a lot in season 2.
heck, I still play this and I'm in college. It's a great game and it's fun for a short, quick game when you don't feel like doing anything else. The only trouble I have with the game, is I wish I could fight as the ninja falcon megazord in the single player mode.
Yeah, this is the Genesis version. I played it over and over again just to pass the time. Simple but fun. It's also better than the one on the SNES. Although I like the fact that you can morph whenever you want on the SNES version.
Yeah, I agree. Banpresto reprises a lot of show themes and original bgms with japanese flare on their few PR games. Haven't seen a good PR game in a long while...
i love the music of it it's really did pick it up good, also the gameplay was awesome. at the end, of the fighting of ivan ooze. instead of choosing the falconzord the guy should have gone with the other zord. b/c the falconzord was getting a major asswooping still very nice
You know... this game, properly portrays how Ivan should have been... not saying that they did a bad job portraying him in the movie, just that... he should've been at LEAST close to how intimidating Zedd was!

i love this fucking game to death i use to play it all the time when i was 11 years old now am 22 years old where did the time fucking go i love the power rangers so much i wish they were real so i could be the white ranger this game is the shit.
@Predatorocks By far (at least to me) the neatest things about this game is the music. The music is practically an exact emulation of what you hear in the show. For instance in the cave level "We Need a Hero" is rendered masterfully. And let's not forget the wonderful remix of Zed's theme. This is one time that the Super NIntendo failed to the Sega.
i think the rangers look more detaild in this version of the game than in the snes one. you can see that the pink ranger has her skirt, where as in the snes version she doesnt. sound and color are better on the snes tho.
nice playing bro but when i playd this game on my sega my health is always full but in the last stage the final boss can't kill me but my health is half and i kill him with ease but good game
this game is not bad, but i prefer the snes version over this. here is why: in the snes version, you begin the level as a teenager and you need to morph into a power ranger, you don't start the level as the power ranger. also, you just fight the oozemen and putty patrollers and that's it.
