Thanks Dhruvin for detail explanation. Appreciate your help for: 1. Can we migrate data from multiple entities in 1 go from 1 environment to other? 2. While migrating data does it also take care of many-to-many relationship of records across entities? 3. How to take care of auto number columns while migrating data across environments?
Hi Dhruvin, That's great explanation migrating data from one tenant to other. However, the links which have been given in the description seems changed. Unable to download the PowerShell script to install mentioned tools. Could you please advise on this?
Nice. I believe before data migration, there should be a step to create a solution including the table, export and import the solution the new environment?
Hello, thank you very much for your video. You saved me lot of time, export/import about 15 mn instead a few hours to load and bind data set. Unfortunately, the migration tool show some loading errors, that I do see as well. What would you advise? Should I rerun the import, or export as well or just fix failed records manually (there're a few hundreds)?
Hi Druvin, Will this work for Dataverse Table with File Attachment column and migrate the attachments from one Dataverse Table (from Environment 1) to Same Schema Dataverse Table (Environment 2)? I am able to get the other data except files with Dataflow, Observed the Files are getting stored as record object
Will this process work for tables that have attachments, not in the form of columns but are stored as microsoft notes? If yes, are there any additional steps to be taken?
Nice Video Dhruvin, Migration tool, datamigration utility throws error as This app can't run on your PC and Invalid license data.Reinstall is required. I think this issue is related to 32 bit/64 bit architecture. Could you point me the Migration Tools steps for windows 10 64 bit system please?
Thanks for the video. Is there a way to import a list with each item and file attachments? I have to migrate a list from "Quickbase" to "Microsoft Dataverse", and each item has like 4 attachments, I want to import the whole relation. Regards from Costa Rica !
Hi Dhruvin, Thanks for the explanation...however how can we automate this task via power automate or power apps data flow? I have a scenario sync two tables in different dataverse tenants or environments. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated thanks
Is it not possible to use a Dataflow to connect to two different Dataverse tables? If not then use a Flow to export the tables to a Blob then use that Storage resource as a way of transferring your data.
Hi Dhruvin, thanks for the video, unfortunately we have a different schema in prod and dev, there are around 20 columns in database with different logical names, due to that data schema match failed, and data migration didn't happen, can you suggest a workaround for this behaviour
Yes. First create a copy of your table in the source Environment. Delete all rows except the top 100. Then edit your new table to match the external table. Then use "Edit in Excel" option (you will need the Excel Add-in for that - it auto prompts etc) to edit the table. Then go to your external Environment and import that previously exported Excel file. That's it. This works for Schema and data (limit 1,000,000 rows).
