Dear Icoach, I am so fortunate to come across your channel. Your video gave me so much clear insight regarding teacher application in Australia. Thank you so much!
Yes, Au is a great country, but first check out the cost of renting a house or apartment, and also check out how far you will need to travel to your school each day from the rental you can afford.

This was so helpful, thank you. Once you have received the AITSL certificate, how do I submit an expression of interest visa? What subclass is this? I'd be applying for a secondary school teacher post. Thank you in advance.
Hello Gemma, Once you have a possible assessment outcome, you will submit EOI online through the Home Affairs website. The EOI is not a visa. You will then be invited to apply for the visa depending on what EOI you submitted; regional sponsorship visa, state sponsorship visa or skilled independent visa, subclass 190. You can always contact me at icoach.bm@gmail.com after your assessment outcome so we take it from there. Hope this helps.
Hello @iCoach, Thank you for making this step-by-step video. I would like to ask can we use the same score of IELTS Academic used in degree assessment for PR process please, or do we need to appear in IELTS General or PTE Academic and use that score? You are doing a great job! Thank You 😊
Hello Navjoat, The recommended ielts for migration to Australia is General, because it’s more relaxed and easy to pass. But if you have academic and you meet the requirements for PR, you can use it. This is just like asking you to have a bachelors for a job offer and you mention you have a masters. I hope this explanation helps. Please let me know if you have any questions. ICoach
Thank you so much for your effort. Very helpful. I have a bachelors of science but I work as a teacher after getting trained by a subdivision of an organization called teach for all. Would they accept my qualifications if it’s not a bachelors of education?
Hello, I’m glad you find my video helpful. Unfortunately, you would need a teacher’s qualification to be able to teach in Australia. If you don’t have a a qualification in teaching, you will not receive a positive assessment outcome from the teaching assessing authority, which is an important part of the visa application process
Hi Coach, I have done a Masters of teaching degree in Australia and been teaching in one of the prestigious school as a registered full time teacher. Can i get the skill assessment done without doing the Ielts test as i have been already teaching here
Hi Sameer, Thank you for contacting ICoach As part of the assessment, an English test can be satisfied if you complete your bachelors degree in teaching in Australia or any English speaking country With your two years masters, it’s very likely you’ll be asked to write You can always reach out to the assessing body AITLS www.aitsl.edu.au/migrate-to-australia for clarification on that
Hi Benedicta, Thanks for contacting ICoach and your nice comment I’m not sure about the last part of the question. What assignment please? could please let me how I can help? Thanks
Hi Icoach It was so lovely to hear from your experience and this made me think about the process in a positive way. Let me ask you a question from my end. Presently I'm in UAE and having 5 years experience as the Kindergarten Teacher (4-6 Years), with my B.Ed in English and attempted IELTS with 7.7 band in listening and speaking and 6.5 in Writing and reading. How will I be able to apply for a teaching job with PR Visa in australia. Thank you
Hi Nikhat, Thanks for contacting ICoach If your bachelors degree is in teaching and you majored in English, you can apply to assess your qualification. This should be in addition to ielts band score of 7 in writing and reading and 8 in speaking and listening. You would require these two to get a positive skill assessment Please do contact me if you have any questions

Then I moved to teaching profession in private nursing university and work as a senior lecturer in nursing department for 6 years. Now doing my master in public health from ACU , MELBOURNE. This is qualification required here in UAE to teach in a Early years setting. I have not come across any of the universities here, offer Bacher in Teaching(ECE). Will I be eligible to apply for a skill assessment?
Hi Soul, The qualification is a four 3-4years bachelors degree in the specified area of study. You may give it a shot if you wish to try. The assessment fee is quite high so I wouldn’t recommend applying until all requirements are met. I hope this helps
Hello @iCoach! I am planning to apply for skills assessment. However, my university has provided me with supervised teaching certificate of 28 days and not 45 which is required by AITSL. Should i apply anyway?
Hello Qambar, It’s always best to provide what is required. However, sometimes, you do not not need to tick all boxes. My recommendation: Try contact your university if they can change this to 45days. If not, then please: Check to see if all other documents meet their requirements. And then apply! All the best!
@@icoach-studyabroadandtrave4816 thank you so much for the prompt response. Yes, the rest of my documents are complete and meet the requirements including IELTS score.
Hi there I have completed my Bachelor of IT in INSTITUTION inside Australia (not University) . I am going to study 1 year of early childhood course from UNI , it will be four years of study in Australia. My Question is Do I need to do IELTS for AITSL Skill assessment just because I did Bachelor from Institution?
Hi Deepak, Thanks for contacting icoach From the assessment body, AITSL, you will need to provide ielts for assessment if you did not study your four years of bachelors in early childhood in Australia In your case, although all your education will be 4 years, unfortunately you will still need ielts because your early childhood course is only one year of your total study in Australia. But please feel free to contact AITSL for clarification on this. They are very quick with their response. Find the assessment criteria for early childhood below. www.aitsl.edu.au/docs/default-source/assessment-for-migration-forms/december-2022/afm_earlychildhood_checklist---feb-2022.pdf?sfvrsn=c844aa3c_2

Hi Are your education degrees in primary school teaching? I mean, did you major/specialise in primary school teaching? Hey, i have recieved my registration and provisional practising certificate from NZ. i have been endorsed as secondary, i am from pakistan, can i teach on this registration in Australia? also i have taken PTE test do i need to retake the IELTS for registration in Australia? please answer thanks.
First of all, to teach in Australia, you require ielts for the assessment. I’m not 100% sure if you can use NZ registration to teach in Australia. You will need to contact the Australian Teachers Association about that. All the best!
Hello Ebuzome, Thanks for contacting ICoach To migrate to Australia as a teacher, you need to have a teaching qualification. Hi madam My sister has 3 year diploma and 3 year degree.she did deploma first and after comple the deploma she got a job in teaching.after that she started to do dgree and completed.deploma is totally teaching deploma and it includes 2 year study and 1 year practical training under supervition.and the other qualification BSE degree(Business Administratin) 3 year.can she apply skill migration and can she take skill assesment to come australia from PR visa??please advise me
First, if she wants to migrate to Australia as a teacher, she needs to ensure her qualification is a teaching degree either in early childhood, primary, middle school, secondary education or special education. These are the areas in demand for teachers. If she has a teaching degree in any of these areas, she can then write her ielts test and apply to assess her qualification and experience
Hi coach, I have done Masters in Computer Science Engineering and worked as an assistant professor and currently as a senior seconadary teacher from last 4years. Am i elligible for AITSL assesement for secondary teacher ? I Would be grateful if you can guide..
Hello Khushbu, Although you’ve had incredibly amazing experience, you’ll require teaching degree in secondary school to obtain positive assessment. I understand in some countries, it does not matter the specialisation, you can teach at any level as long as you have a higher qualification. But in Australia, to teach at any level, early childhood, primary or secondary, you will need to have at least a bachelors degree in that area. Even if you have PhD, you cannot teach in secondary school unless you have a degree in secondary school teaching. They are very explicit on that I hope this explanation helps

Hello Anuj, First of all, you will choose the category based on your qualification. You have mentioned your qualifications but which of them is teaching qualification? To teach in Australia, you need at least a bachelor’s degree in the category you want to teach; early childhood, primary, middle or secondary. The degree needs to be specific on that and your transcript should show those subjects. If any of your qualifications has this, then you can choose the category based on what your degree shows/says. I hope this explanation helps

The assessing team will let you know if the 3years of your study is equivalent to Australia’s 3years bachelors degree. The main eligibility is to have a qualification in the required area of study. I hope this clarification helps Please let me know if you have any questions
Dearest iCoach, I'm just confused regarding this criterion: completion of at least 45 days of supervised teaching practise with students across the 13 to 18 years age range in a secondary school setting. I had 5 years of teaching experience with students in my home country, and I have papers as evidence of my experience. Does this meet that criterion I mentioned above? Thank You so much
Hello Charlyn, The 45days of supervised teaching practice is different from work experience. It is part of your teaching qualification. When you study to be a teacher in most countries, you will be required to do teaching practice as part of your studies to gain practical experience before completing your teaching degree. Some countries do the teaching practice for a whole semester, which is about 3months, some 6months. This is the part the assessment body has named ‘45days of supervised teaching practice’. So basically, it’s a practice which is undertaken under supervision by a professional or graduate teacher in the classroom. I hope this clarification helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Regards, ICoach
@@icoach-studyabroadandtrave4816 Hi dearest icoach, I'm in the process of obtaining the documents needed for the assessment, but I'm confused about which category my qualifications fit into. In my practiced teaching, I handled ages 11-16, which is a secondary high school level in my country. Now, I don't know which applicant checklist I will choose. In the Middle School Teacher Application, it stated I must have had practice teaching ages 10-15 years, while the Secondary School Teacher Application requires ages 13-18 years. Please let me know if you have any advice regarding this. Thank very much!
The category you choose depends of your qualification and cohorts of students you teach. In terms of the qualification, is your bachelors or masters degree in secondary school teaching or middle school? This will inform the category to select. Also, the category will be based on your current teaching experience. If you taught 11-16 year group, then that is secondary and as a result, your teaching qualification should be in secondary school teaching I hope this helps Let me know if you need further information

Hi iCoach I have a Master's in English Language and Literature and currently I am pursuing Bachelor's in Education. After this Bachelor's, am I eligible to be a teacher there? As a non-native English speaker, what will be my chances of getting a job?
Hi Krishna, Thanks for contacting ICoach If the bachelor of education is a teaching course, you can assess your qualification and experience through the skilled migration program. In Australia, bachelor of education is different from bachelor of teaching. If your bachelor allows you to teach in your home country, I assume you’ll have an option to choose your area of expertise: primary teaching, secondary, special education or early childhood teaching. These are some specific area’s available to use for migration purposes. If you’re majoring in one of these areas, that is great! You can apply for assessment after completion. Also, you will require an English test - usually IELTS test score of band 7 and also at least one year of experience. In terms of job, there are heaps available for teachers, especially if you complete your course in Australia. However, for overseas qualification, the process outlined above is what to go through I hope this helps Please let me know if you have any questions

If you’re not eligible for skill migration based on your skill set and qualification, you can choose to apply to study a course that can give you the required skills If you want to teach in Australia, you need a teacher qualification. That means you would have to apply for master of teaching not master of education. They’re two different courses. I hope this helps Please let me know if you have any questions
