I don't know weather it really happened in the history or not. But it's very painful to see a brother being backstabbed by his sister. Mustafa loved all his step siblings and trusted them. He welcomed mihirima with a pure heart. This world is not for the people like you Mustafa..
If u think that way, u can't survive in the Ottoman dynasty. Mihrimah Sultan had no other choice. Just think about it, if Mustafa becomes the Padishah, the first thing he would do is order the execution of Selim, Bayezid and Cihangir, as his predecessors and successors did. He would also exile Hurrem Sultan. Mihrimah knew that if she becomes sentimental now, then she'd have to see the execution of her 3 own brothers, which she couldn't. U can't survive in a royal family with so much innocence and compassion..
@@navneethkrishnan3412 Practically, you are right. But in the other hand, isn't it hard to believe that mustafa would order for the execution of his 3 brothers? He doesn't have such a heart. He even canceled Bali bey's execution who had an affair with his fiance. He is merciful, he is not like his mother or any other people in that ottoman dynasty. He wasn't power hungry either, he was loyal to sultan Suleman till the end. He went to meet him even knowing his life could be taken.
@@nirupamasarma4146 It's not about mercy, it's about survival. According to the Ottoman succession rule, any of the Sultan's sons could be the next Sultan. So whoever has more power, will order the execution of others (they have no other choice, even if they want or not). Things won't be the same when he becomes Sultan. At least the new Valide Sultan, that is Mahidevran, would manipulate her son to do so, just as Valide Handan Sultan would do in the future. And secondly, even if he IS merciful, his brothers won't just sit quietly and watch their half brother become the new king. They'd prepare for a war too, ultimately leading to the powerful one to execute the other. So from Mihrimah's point of view, it's easier to see her half brother die, instead of her full blood brothers
It didn't happen in history. Mustapha's downfall was all if his own making. Mirhima or anyone from the family she was born into did not visit Mustapha during the twenty years he spent as sancak bey. His mother also publicly declared that they were going to execute his half siblings nephews nieces and Hurrem. So for the sake of so many, one has to be executed.
Now I understand the reason why Kosem changed the fratricide law Not watching MC Suleiman I thought Kosem was being power hungry and wanted her kids to live long enough to rule for years to come ( And they could because she had so many sons) but now I feel that the killing of so many princes (one throne many sons) was the reason she wanted the law to change. Unfortunately Murat brought it back for his son to rule.
Because kosem wanted to keep her kids safe. Her kids weren’t the first child of Ahmet. It was said even mehmet was Mahfiruze kid in some sources. Osman wasn’t her child that’s why she went behind him and all the stuff
Kosem changed the rules and didn't allow Ahmed to kill mustafa cuz she wanted her sons to be safe! But sad that osman and murad brought the rule back!🤡
I am opposite coz I first used to think that she changed it for good but now I think the opposite also after knowing her reality that she wasn't innocent even in the beginning in reality
@@michaeltomy186 actually I was talking about both I mean in the series she was shown sugar coated in beginning and became worst in Murat's time and in history I have heard she wasn't even that good in the beginning not such influential as they showed her in Ahmed's time she gained absolute power in Murat's time coz he was too young to rule
Mihirma is already feeling guilty I can see it, also it's so sad seeing Mustafa and his don together infront of Mihirma not realizing she's going to kill them :(
@@jeanneaubert4193 right thing?? What about Mustafa's son?? He was a kid and innocent, why kill him?? Only Mustafa was the target not his son!! Also, even if Mustafa takes the throne I know he would kill his brothers through a blind trap laid by his supporters like the one Hurrem and Garbage Rustem laid. But what about Hurrem's kids?? Selim and Bayezid?? Both literally fought each other for the throne!! And when Selim won, he killed Bayezid and his sons who were still kids!!
@@sarahdemir776 why?? Is it because then Mustafa would kill his brothers?? Then don't act like Selim just didn't kill Bayezid and his sons who were just children
Lol 😂 how funny hurrem and mihrimah always said to protect sons and brothers while they both know law of fraticide, even if that's her son or brother he had to kill other one ... And the situation was worse when it comes to selim and beyzait, who hated each other even in Mustafa life.
Well done. What more can anyone say. These 3 really did it wise and well. They finished off their enemies while enemies couldn't even reach the half of these 3 inteligence and cunnings level . Who was Mahidevran after Mustafa's funeral. Nobody. And she really did hope for being that valide sultana and kill Hurrem. Sorry Mahidevran, Hurrem was better with everything.
This scene may be partially true to history because : According to a document in the Topkapı Palace Museum Archives, a notice was sent to the sultan informing him that Rüstem had plotted against Mustafa in an attempt to frame him as a Safavid ally. The notice claims that Rüstem had forged Mustafa’s seal and sent a letter of friendship, purportedly from Mustafa, to the Safavid ruler, Tahmasb, who did not know this was a ploy by Rüstem, responded positively to the invitation. Rüstem’s men found the letter and delivered it to Rüstem.44 Again, such behavior aligns with the grand vizier’s ambi- tions to protect himself and his career interests in a volatile political environment.
That's impossible, Rustem could not steal the seal, if anything Mustafa would realize it , the seal is not unguarded and Mustafa knew who to keep by his side. What about the letters with Venetians? They have mustafas seal on it. The incident with tahmasp might not even be real at all.
What do you mean "Topkapı Palace Museum Archives"? Who wrote it? I mean, if everyone knew that Rustem was plotted again the most powerful shehzade in that time, of course he will beheaded. If Lutfi Pasha almost beheaded "just" because he slapped Shah Sultan, how can Rustem still alive if he comitted such a hugh crime against dynasty member?
@@DimSK. Yes, i think so. I mean, Lutfi Pasha almost beheaded just because he slapped Shah Sultan. If Rustem did such huge crime against Shehzade Mustafa, he will be mutilated.
Well, what happened in the end? Chihangir died suffering terribly, having lost faith in his father, mother and family. Bayazet and his children were strangled just as cruelly as Mustafa had once been, Selim became a fratricide. Mihrimah herself lost everyone she loved and voluntarily went into exile.
Mustafa was too naïve here. How could he trust this woman with such a treacherous face, even after she cornered and berated him about wanting to take the throne…
This part of the show gets real ugly and it upsets me a lot. Not to mention I highly doubt Mahi would leave Mihrimah and Mustafa alone. It just doesn't make sense
@@xianxiannn this exchange almost certainly didn’t happen in real life. What we do know is that there really was a letter sent to Suleiman, a letter which defended Mustafa, saying that the prince was not conspiring with Persians and that this was slander. That means that there was another real/falsified letter that was intercepted, but this letter apparently has not survived in the archives. The ottomans were not good about documenting their history. At any rate, in the fantasy world of the show, Mustafa should never have trusted Hurrem’s daughter.
@@neilchandavarkar3574 well I'm talking about the show. In real history I'm also sure that Mustafa was innocent but we'll only know that on the day of judgement. Not to mention Mustafa loved his little sister dearly and would never imagine that she would betray him but oh well, this is the result of hanging around that snake Hürrem. Yazık
I understand why Mihrimah did what she did, but everyone wants to give her pass, and condemn Mahidervan for trying to protect her son in the same breath
Hahahahah! No she didn’t. She became Valide Sultana and had beautiful family and children. Alsooo she never regretted that. so keep dreaming SHOSHO bot 🤣
@@komalbaweja7291 Hahahahah! No she didn’t. She became Valide Sultana and had beautiful family and children. Alsooo she never regretted that. so keep dreaming SHOSHO bot 🤣
"Don't leave Mustafa and Mehmet alone with her" Mahidevran, are you feel threatened Well, that what Hurrem feel when you threat her whenever suleiman sick
She wasn't dead and not were her siblings💀She gained her and her siblings possibility of life once the oldest prince soon to ascend the throne was killed
Everyone in the comment section is like she did right to save her brothers but it's also a reality that bad brings bad even it's done coz of some serious reasons you can see hurrem's sons still didn't survive cihangir died some time after and bayezid had the worst fate
After this, I was very happy for the treatment Mihirimah got. Her husband Rustem betrayed her by choosing selim's side, Selim killed Beyazid and She was forced to leave the palace. The perfect punishment one could get for such heinous sin
Mihrimah backstabed Mustafa. Such a cowardly act. They framed Mustafa with Tahmasb indicating rebellion which he never did, but their real brother/Son (Bayezid) will actually rebel n take refuge in Tahmasb palace n will be executed. They have marked Cihangir's death too..
Wow. Okey look at the end of Mihrimah 🤷🏻♀️ She married Rustum for the sake of her brother’s safety but in the end she couldn’t save her brothers. She slapped Selim and hates him but he Bcame Sultan. In the last episode Mihrima tells to Sumbul, We are the losers. She left the palace. Killing the innocent may give you power temporarily, but nature snatches it away just as you snatched it from the innocent
Survuval is the game? She k*lled her own brother but afterwards lost two brothers (Cihangir and Bayezid). Her drunk bro whi she h*ted so much became sultan. Mirimah lost everything. 😂😂
@@kimflores5352 yes Mehmet was payment for those whom gurrem.killed for soliman the little baby And now hurrem will pay again after mustafa with gihangir

She deserves more pain. I will never choose to kill a brother for survival. And what made her sure that if one of her real brothers ascend to the throne will not practice fatricide? Being a muslim I always think of the consequences I have to face after death and I hope Mihrimah face justice in the day of judgement .
She was not a evil just like her mother she protect his brothers according to rules if Mustafa was on throne he have to kill on his siblings...As we see in kosem Sultan in detail
I am talking about the show not real life. In real life she didn’t betray Mustafa. It was Rustem and Hurrem’s plots as per the historical records. In the show she does get her Karma for her cowardly actions. She framed Mustafa for the rebellion he never did but her real brother actually does the rebellion and gets executed. In show she never becomes Valide Sultan. Watch till the end.
@Aishiki Dutta I agree. But this is pure cowardice. Mustafa is not aware that Mihrimah wants him eliminated. She has never made her intentions clear like that. What she does in the show is using his trust and backstabbing him makes her a coward. Even if she feels guilty still makes her a coward.
2:04 It's irritating to see Mihrimah bow to Mahidevran Hatun. Which in real life, she is above higher position than Mahidevran Hatun Funny to see in the series, they make Hurrem and Mihrimah bow to their subordinates😂😂
I think it shows that Mihrimah has a respect to Mahidevran because of her age and she's also her older brother's mother. Maybe it hasn't happened in reality, but I like it. It shows that Mihrimah is classy :)
@@joannaroszkowska3502 Exactly. She never looked down to anyone like her aunts did. She never use "slave" word to humiliate someone that she hated That was difference in the way their mother bringing up them
Actually, its customary that she does so. Mustafa also bows to Hurrem. Suleyman's wife or not, Hurrem and Mahidevran are seen as equals. Mihrimah also has to bow to all of her brothers, but she probably chose not to, because they're all younger than her, so she only bows to Mustafa.
When Mahidevran heard about Mehmet's death, the mirror she held fell & broke. Her expression changed to worry then a little bit of fear. Little did she knew it would be her only son's death sentence

Everyone had gone even the ottoman empire is ended now,,, everything will be ended,,may Allah protect us from greed of anything expect the love of Allah
To everybody supporting the evil of mihrima and her mother and trying their best to (find) reasonings to justify their wicked and vile deeds, to them I want to say is that you guys clearly know that mustafa is NEVER gonna KILL his brothers. Even he was to ascend the throne and someone got in his nerves he would have just sent them away from the capital as he said. He would have not even killed hurrem because of his siblings. Mustafa was born to be the king ever since the day he was born everyone treated him as the next sultan that’s why he was used to people calling him sultan but nasty minded hurrem and her offsprings made things and life go completely wrong and criminally and people that has mentality like them supports and justifies this.

Me too! Not only for Mustafa, but for Nissa, his son Mehmet, Mahidevron, Jannissaries, and the entire Ottoman Empire. Hurrem caused the downfall of the empire.
@@DimSK. You mean because she urged him to do the rebellion and arranged all about it? But in the other hand, Mustafas arrival to Suleiman s tent could also be interpreted as help, him adding to his army. I could bet it was his true intention, that's why all that is so sad
