“Only if you were my son we wouldn’t be opponents” wow this scene has to be one of my most favourites, a very unique scenario where the stepmother actually would want the stepson to be her own biological son! And not to mention both actors how well they played this scene with “tears and emotions”, respect to the whole team!

No hurrem didn't want Mustafa to be her son in this scene she was explaining Mustafa abt the situation the war for survival that's it she indirectly said she will kill mustufa cause they were opponents and one has to kill the other for peace

@Dreamfyre Mustafa was against Hurrem but I still don't think he'd harm his siblings. Even if he became sultan he would never tolerate Mahidevran's wish to execute any of his siblings for no reason. Fratricide? He can change that. About Mehmet's death, if he finds out that his mother was the one behind it he wouldn't be so happy for sure. Hurrem and Mahidevran, they really involved their children in their rivalry. It's ridiculous. In the end they both suffer the pain of losing their child and honestly they deserve it.

Suleiman was just jealous of Mustafa . Should've appointed Mustafa as Sultan by himself But the greed of power made him cruel father Indeed he was the magnificent sultan but also a bad father He made the worst decision of killing his own son I just adore Sultan Ahmed from Kosem Sultana series,he didn't kill his brother that was the reflection of his kindness and generosity Unlike sultan Suleiman the murderer of his own blood

Indeed Ahmet was too kind for this position He was also betrayed by his grandmother Those royal people has white blood no emotions no love ,are only hungry of power My favourite Sultan is Ahmet always and forever he made best decision but was killed and never show his true talent If he lived more he would make best contribution to the saltanat .

Didn't the other prince's suffered the same way or even more than him?? Did they seclude themselves to alcohol?? I'll never understand people justifying Selim's actions when he did all that in an act of cowardice. The only reason he remained alive was because of sultan's favoritism and that too because he had no idea about his addiction till the death of hurrem.

So, Mihrimah was unhappy accepting Rustem and her mother's plans finally failed... It's true that Selim survived...but...he again had to kill..Hurrms dream to keep her sons alive and together failed terribly. She end up with so much blood on her hands...in vain

@@annisahakiki this case was really tough. But she knew that Mustafa love and appreciate his brothers always. Thats why she knew how to use that feelings. Every mother will do everything to save her child, otherwise she won't call herself mother. This is natural instinct. And it doesn't make Hurrem a good mother, just a normal one.

@@Aliakaramm Men didn't like her because she was loved by their Sultan. Men didn't like the fact that she had that power to rule over Sultan's heart. They hate her because they couldn't accept reality that women had more power than them. Off course they gonna hurt her in every chance they got. Part of the reason why Mustafa was supported by Jannisary in this show was because his mother was not seen being involved in Sultanates affair, or less involved atleast. Not like Hurrem who coupd show her power to control over Sultan.

The problem is that Mustafa got Mahidevran as his mother. I can’t believe that he won’t kill his siblings when he sit on the throne while Hurrem need to protect all his sons. They have to kill him. Every kings that sit on the throne will always worry that someone will trying to steal their throne. And we should not forget how Mahidevran killed our poor and kind Prince Mehmed with no mercy. And no matter what happens Prince Selim are Prince and from dynasty they should respect him and can’t touch him. How dare you… That army should know their place and the Sultan is still alive. And some kings don’t like when his subjects love his prince more than him. Their mistakes. Every kings have their own pride. And their loyalty to Prince Mustafa are one of the reason he got killed.
