Musicalster Pia Douwes overhandigt speciale award
Willemijn Verkaik speelde vanavond haar 1000ste voorstelling als Elphaba in de succesvolle musical Wicked van Joop van den Ende Theaterproducties. Speciaal voor deze gelegenheid reikte collega musicalster Pia Douwes haar een speciale award uit. Pia heeft in haar lange succesvolle carrière als musicalster ook bij elkaar 1000 keer de rol van Keizerin Elisabeth in de gelijknamige musical Elisabeth vertolkt, dus weet precies hoe het voelt om deze mijlpaal te bereiken. Ook collega's Chantal Janzen en Ferry Doedens feliciteerden Willemijn met het bereiken van dit heugelijke feit.

oh my god, watch the hands of Willemijn when Pia and the flowers arrive, she has no idea when to take the flowers. She tries to grab them about 4 times before they are actually given to her. She's so cute!

i really like how they do additional bows so as to let the orchestra play the curtain call music in full. in the U.S. whenever there is a speech they always pause almost right after starting the "One Short Day" portion of it.

No some people they don't know it yet, but they lived all day long under a rock or something.. yess.. Willemijn Verkaik here, my colleague has played today her 1000ste performance!! (applause) It's so funny, that she loves it now.. She loves it soo much all the extra attention... No, not at all, for her, she thinks all they long, is it all over yet!? (part 1)

Pia Douwers (a famous musical star who has also played in a musical for more that a thousand times) came to congradulate Willemijn with her extraorinairy performance telling her that she couldn't believe her ears when she heard what came out of W's mouth when she saw her for the fist time in Stuttgart. The whole cast is extremely proud of Willemijn and hopes she will continue her amazing work in the musical Wicked!

And I want to say, that I found it really special when I was at your first show in Stuttgart.. I was sitting on the third row and I.. couln't believe... what came out of your mouth... yes... that is a sound.. that's magical.. And.,. Okay i'll give it a try for you in english :) In 2 pieces They start talking at 3;12 Glinda: For the people who think: "Is it always this hysterical?" yes it is, every evening. Some people didnt know it yet. But they probably lived under a stone or something. But Willemijn Verkaik over here played her 1000th performance of Wicked today. It's funny that she loves it now. She loves it all this extra attention! No not at all, i guess she is thinking all day long "is it all over yet?" 1/2
