Phat wheel scooters look like a great short commute option. Clean too as may be solar chargeable. Not sure if they would be able to climb though which would be a limitation in some towns.
I would agree. I've had one for a few weeks now and they are fast (32mph) and have a good range (up to 20 miles). If there are suitable sidewalks (wide) and the speed limit is low (35 and lower), I don't see why someone couldn't use this for a 15 mile (round trip) commute or longer if they can charge it at the workplace.
At least wear a helmet and show some good example. Could include turning signal lights. Have English captions and creach wider audience. Please mention range and tome of charge.
