We would love to. Those cost so much that I doubt they would send us one. I would love to ride it. The only Weped they ever sent us didn't work. I think it's still here somewhere. -Paul
@@talornguyen5516 I am older. Been riding motorcycles my whole life. I have an Apollo go and that’s fast enough for me. I’m just not good enough shape anymore.
The answer is: no one should be doing it, not even me! I’m a former motorcycle road racing championship winner and every single speed run on every fast scooter scares me. But it is a good way to see which scooter makes highest sustained output power. -Paul
Just like cars that can go 160, it’s the capability that becomes eyebrow raising. Sustain top speed, I would guess the average safe speed on a scooter might be sub 20mph.
Thank you for testing all of these scooters. I hope you help lots of people out there who need a new scooter or can't decide which one to buy. Lots of choices for sure!
A tip for people looking buy a scooter: If you don't have a service shop nearby, make sure to watch some videos on how to change tires/tubes on the one you're looking to purchase beforehand. You could avoid having a nightmare on your hands 😉
Great advice. Then, after watching the videos, if changing tires on an electric scoter feels completely out of your comfort zone then get something with solid tires. Though air filled tires have smoother ride and more traction. -Paul
Yep great idea, just got my first escooter a Mantis V2 and I’m currently waiting on a new tube to come in. Had to learn how to take it apart now I’m preparing on putting it back together!
Segway Max G2 must be included as well in terms of safety because the TCS feature is a lifesaver. An hour ago I almost rear end a car after trying to avoid an incoming scooter came from the blind spot going the opposite way and it was pouring rain the scooter went sliding sideways when i brake hard but managed to gain control (thanks to TCS) and steer to safety.
Great video, so many people on the Reddit channel are asking for certain types of scooters and there are so many to choose from but videos like these make the shopping experience so much easier. Props to ESG! 👍🏼
I wanna thank you guys for helping me make my mind up..... I have purchased 2 RX 7s..... When I called Roadrunner I actually spoke to a real person..... This is almost not heard of anymore.... It was a really enjoyable experience.... I can hardly wait to cruise with my adopted son Robbie.... Anyway THANK YOU for the advice......
Need a category for Best Minimum Storage Space so the industry gets pressure to compete with Glion's Dolly & Dolly XL's upright folding, luggage handle, and dolly wheels arrangement so we can get one that's more ergonomic and higher performance without losing the tiny storage footprint.
That's such a great subject. We've tried to come up with a metric for this one. The best metric we could find was to multiply L x W xH when folded to get the total folded area. I feel like folding handlebars are really underrated, but at the same time it takes a surprising amount of engineering to make electric scooter handlebars which fold quickly but also don't start wiggling at some point. Thanks so much for the feedback! We love hearing about which factors are top of mind for people when picking scooters! It's definitely not always about performance! -Paul
You outdid yourselves with this video. With “time” comes more and more improvements. I feel that we have, finally, met a higher plateau, in PEV evolution
Thank you so much! We're always trying to improve on the electric scooter reviews we've made in the past, and love getting feedback like this! I've literally been here in the comments section all day since we launched the video this morning, enjoying the feedback. -Paul
i have grown a like for this channel, thanks for info that i need to see, living in Denmark and E-scooter arent the biggest thing but i watch this channel content and know what to have in future, like the tests and the explain given by the whole team,. Thank you for great content...
Thank you so much! We forgot all the metric units until last night and then worked late into the night and all morning to get them in just for our friends who live in countries that use modern units of measure! -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide thank you soo much for the time to make changes at the last moment, much apreciated and worth the watch everytime, have a great day/night ESG team😊
The amount of thought and time went into this video is beyond me! Great job guys! I would love it if you guys can test scooters from YUME. Please do, we need to hear your feedback on whether or not it’s worth buying one.
Thank you so much! As always, I wish I had another week or a couple more days to find even better video clips from all 20 review videos to illustrate every scooter, but we have to get testing for the next electric scooter review videos! I'm really enjoying hearing all of the feedback. Oh, and we're getting a lot of requests for Yume. Hopefully Yume will reach out to us again. We haven't reviewed any of their scooters yet. -Paul
I have my own electric scooter channel and I've done reviews on a ton of scooters from Fluid Free Ride NYC and Minimotors NYC I'm good friends with the owners and obviously i live in NY, but I disagree with u on the kaabo 1st of all I owned the kaabo wolf warrior 11+ for over 3 years and it was a good scooter till bolts and screws started shearing off like crazy those black shit screws they use are horrible I had to replace the neck and the frame because all the screws underneath the scooter just ripped right out what a horrible design than on top Of that the bolt that holds the suspension in broke in half you know how dangerous that is I almost killed myself So fluid free ride ended up fixing everything for free because it was under warranty So I had them change all the screws on the scooter to stainless steel and guess what they broke again!!! The stainless steel screws ripped off the frame of the scooter. So I said to myself, I have to get rid of this piece of crap because not for nothing besides the dualtron motors and controllers the scooter is cheaply made Why do you think the wolf king gtr isn't even a 4,000 dollar scooter then My friend bought the king gt pro And the same thing happened to him with the screws shearing off. It's unbelievable how cheaply made that scooter is and the rubber suspension after about five hundred miles end up ripping apart So I bought better ones that weren't supposed to rip apart and guess what they ripped apart? So I sold that piece of crap and bought a real scooter, the dultron. Ultra 2. If you want to go and check out my channel you can I've done a ton a videos on it. Kaabo is crap it's just fast that's all. So I went searching around on the internet. And I found a ton of people who had the same problems I had It's unbelievable that scooter Looks good on paper and in person but its so cheaply made I'll stick to my dualtron any day of the week!!
Great video! You guys are mostly why I got my VMAX VX2 PRO GT. I wanted long range and a high IPX rating just in case of sudden summertime rainfalls.....And I got it for $809 ❤
Score! VMAX makes great electric scooters. We come across a lot of new brands every year, but it's rare when a new brand comes along and just plants itself right there with the very best in the world. (but I guess it makes sense, because they're just new to the US, not actually a new company) My cousin is loving her VX2! -Paul
Nice vid guys👍I just got the RS5 Max myself and have not ridden it yet.Mitchell obviously tested it and liked it and I was sold I will ride gently right now bc I need gear.I have a helmet but want knee, elbow, gloves, and maybe something padded around the rear, hips.Just subbed as well guys, love the content.
I bought a Gotrax xplus last year. My first e scooter. I'm full throttle all the time and get about 16-18 miles. I have over 1200 miles on it and, it runs the same as day 1. Tires still have the nobbies on them. Ridden, year round (hail, downpors, snow, slush, ice), not a single issue. However, I want to upgrade to something faster with longer range.
Really good recommendations. Unfortunately 90% of these scooters are not available in Europe (some of them are available in the UK, but EU countries have import fees)
Dang! So sorry to hear that. We need to learn more about the EU market. It would be great to be able to make EU-specific videos some day. This is very useful feedback. Thanks! -Paul
Great feedback! Ramier’s recent Best for Heavy Riders video is intended to cover tall riders too, but it doesn’t fit in the title as well. Here’s that one. -Paul ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-QKz2xZUZbZ8.htmlsi=RiGbzMR1Jz2SpR2x
We haven’t heard from Hiboy in a long time, so they haven’t sent us any of their newer stuff. We’ve included the S2 in our Best Cheap Scooters series for years and also had it in the recent Best Hill Climbers video. (Link below). But we’ve never tested the Pro. -Paul ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dqJyyWeYeTA.htmlsi=iy3R9eMtlV5K8ynZ
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide yeah you should stop, at least not show this in those video reviews. I don't mind if you go wild in dedicated videos with proper warnings, etc. Just my 2 cents.
You're definitely right here. We test as many as we can, but there are so many scooters. That's the downside of only comparing scooters we have test data for. We'll be scaling back some of our e-bike content on our RiderGuide channel so we can cover even more electric scooters in the second half of 2024. -Paul
Where is the Inmotion RS?? It didn't make the list?? Nice video, but not including the RS kind of diminishes the video. It is an absolute beast of a scooter!!! I bought my RS due to you all praising it...Anyways, keep up the good work.
Thanks so much! We love the RS. If we had expanded the Heavy Rider's category by one electric scooter it would have been in there. I wish we would have thought to do that because it's not just heavy but tall riders that the RS and RS Lite are good for. It's still the only scooter I've ever raced (on a race track). -Paul
OMG. I was trying to thank you so much for your video because you saved my life. But RU-vid keeps deleting it. How can I get my commenets to you without RU-vid deleting them?
Raptor rider here, I like mine too. If you get the chance check out the Teewing mars xtr. It always seems to be left out of the best of catagory even though the kaabo on went a fraction of a mph faster with nowhere near the range.
I like the roadster e scooter that go very fast and that look fantastic and I want you to try the weped e scooter name is sonic x you going to like it God bless you 🙏 rock on 🤘
Just bought my first scooter went with the emove cruiser wanted something that would get me the distance thank you for reviewing so manny scooter really helped me decide the best one for my needs!
I’m looking into this (Okai Panther) scooter, and at 6'3", it feels a little compact. The throttle is quite sensitive. I’ll have a review on my channel shortly, and the front suspension is easy to adjust! It’s almost my favorite, but it does have some misses.
The range is in top performance mode on a very hilly course. Riding at the speed I think riders would use in a city. Basically car speed for the fast scooters and full speed for the slower ones. It’s Berkeley though, so my peak speeds are only just above 30mph on the fast ones. -Paul
Nami is old news 😂 edit: keep in mind these guys have affiliated links to these scooters where as they likely don't with Nami either. Many of these scooter reviews in general are bias to reviewing because of this. I bought the updated burn e 2 Max about 6 months ago. It's amazing and I love it!! With PMTs it's even better!! ❤
The Nami Klima climbs hills substantially better than the ones mentioned, mainly because it was engineered for torque and not top speed which to me is way more important. I am guessing because it doesn’t do 45mph+ they decided it was an honorable mention. However I am sure it was close being that it does go 42mph. 😅
@@brandonpaul6186 Nami is one of the best and proven over the years. Looks like an adult scooter( I like the tubular frame design it's more sound) like a Harley vrod versus the toys r us looking toy scooter competition imo. Love that Nami is my first pev and I might look at buying the Nami blast Max for secondary scoot with PMTs. I had a chance to feel the kaabo wolf GTR and hated the locking mechanism too. It's all preference
Why can’t anyone make a light weight dual motor scooter that has self sealing tires, regen braking, carbon frame, hydraulic brakes, fast charging and has full suspension
I have had different under 600$ scooters and in our line up surprisingly the Hiboy ks4 pro has been the most reliable and absolutely amazing scooter, im surprised hiboy was not in your list in our scooters we used Hiboy for many years and used almost everyday and it still is perfect great speed Range reliable no maintenance, I haven't touched it since it came in the box and it has been wonderful. What are your thoughts on Hiboy and why it didn't make the list?
We've featured the Hiboy S2 on almost every Best Electric Scooters list for the last three years including our video about the best electric scooters for climbing hills a few weeks ago (linked below). Hiboy hasn't reached out to us in a long long time, so we haven't tested any of their latest scooters, unfortunately. -Paul ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dqJyyWeYeTA.html
@@greplink we physically test every scooter we review, for range, top speed, acceleration, braking distance, ride quality and build quality. Scooter companies typically send out review units to RU-vid channels for testing. We just haven’t heard from Hiboy in a long time. But I’m not the one who handles that part of the review process. I just test them and talk about them. -Paul
We didn’t use a teleprompter for this video, but we did do a lot of takes. To prepare for this I spent two weeks watching our review videos and noting the most important parts so we could make sure not to leave the details out. Editing really helps too! -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide Wow, and this was by far the most nuanced electric scooter presentation I've ever seen. Also very professional, exciting and entertaining I must say. Keep up the good work 👍
Thank you so much! The stress level in the office was pretty intense getting all of the details correct! We had planned some epic drone shots and even a high speed race at the beginning of this video but the location shut us down on riding shots (but kindly let us keep shooting for two more days as long as we agreed not to ride. You can see the security truck drive by at one point). Being a small channel with no production budget we just show up and film and sometimes end up getting chased away! -Paul
Love the quality of the video, however we are not even halfway thru 2024 yet, there are some new scooters still releasing that could easily be on this list.
We did an end-of the year scooter awards video for 2023. We'll probably do another (better one) at the end of 2024. That way we're spaced out by about 6 months. -Paul
The problem is that the cheap stuff is garbage, with cheap design there is no room for upgrades. expensive things are too expensive or overpriced, and its design still allows for upgrades
Great scooter. We love the RS. We probably could have squeezed one more electric scooter under the heavy/tall riders category, because the Inmotion RS is such a great scooter for tall riders as is the RS Lite. We made the list a bit more broad this year and that meant fewer slots for the ultra-high performance scooters like the RS. -Paul
very informative! My budget is $1250, i need a scooter for me and my daughter (230lbs combined) with a seat that I can add a seat for her, we ride toghether. 40-50 MPH. What do you recommend?
Wow, that's an interesting set of requirements. Unfortunately almost all scooters are designed for single riders. The only scooters I can think of that would be even close to safe to ride with two riders would be something like Voro Motors RoadRunner Pro, if it came with rear footpegs (I don't think it's an option). It's about twice your budget though. I strongly recommend not riding two-up on a scooter with 10 or 11 inch tires. I just don't think the stability will be there for you and your daughter. Even adding a factory seat to a smaller kick-scooter and riding it solo at those speeds sounds scary to me. They can get wiggly in a hurry if you lift a hand off of the handlebars to scratch your nose or adjust your glasses. I would definitely do a ton of research before buying anything and see if you can find someone who is doing exactly the kind of riding you want to do. Sorry I don't have a better answer. -Paul
Guys unagi has no customer service number anymore(recently removed?) and my voyager one came with bad motors, its seems like a bad way to run things maybe im being dramatic i would be careful putting them on such a high pedestal,im waiting for unagi to respond to me and see if im wrong😢😢
Thanks so much for the feedback. Did you try reaching out via message or chat? If so how long did it take between responses? Or was there no response? I rented one from them recently through their website without telling them that I was going to make a video and the process was pretty smooth. Even reaching out to send it back was fairly seamless for me, but I didn't keep it long enough to have any trouble with it. -Paul
We understand that the Rx7 is among the best equipped, something we all knew before its first batch. We are due for an honest full review, as it has been some time since you have had it. You said end June. Any chance, Tmw? Soon Plz..
Sorry for the delay. We ended up pulling this video in between the RX7 first impressions and the full review. Testing is completely done now. (it went 44.1 miles on the range test) I was scheduled to shoot the RX7 video yesterday, but then the edit for Best Electric Scooters of 2024 sort of spiraled out of control and it ate the whole day Friday (and much of the night last night... and all of the morning today). Look for the RX7 video one week from today! (unless I get hit by a bus or something). -Paul
Yes! First time they've ever told us we couldn't ride and film (you can see the security vehicle drive by at one point). But we're super grateful that they still let us shoot for two days, given that we just sort of showed up and filmed (like we always do). -Paul
I’m still deciding as a heavy rider that wants a premium scooter for commuting around town and I’m stuck between the RX7 and Mars XTR. Both are absolutely awesome and can handle my weight of 270 np.
Those are both great scooters and very very different to ride. The Teewing Mars XTR is just pure instant power with great suspension and gobs of range, but.... it takes full concentration to control the throttle in the mode that gives you all the power. The top mode it kind of nuts. The Roadrunner RX7 on the other hand is all finesse and high end components. I felt like a total badass riding it around at night. It's faster than you'd ever need a scooter to be and it's easy to ride in any of the modes. -Paul
We have the GTR as the best value for a high performance scooter, and it's pretty good off-road due to knobby tires, super tall suspension and traction control. Our two best for off-road are the Mantis King GT and the Okai Panther. I think the GTR could have won over all best off road if it were lighter. -Paul
The Booster V is cool. It's the smallest scooter we've ever tested and we think it's also the world's lightest electric scooter, but I'd still put the Mosquito and GT Sport ahead of it in terms of performance vs size and weight. How fast does your Booster V go? Ours goes 23.9 mph -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide mine goes 25mph but i have the 10.5 ah battery version and weigh 130 lbs i have the GTSE and Sport as well and wasn't fond of the Sport since it seemed like they changed the acceleration curve to be slightly different making it more difficult to maintain low speeds. the e-brakes on the Sport seemed weaker than the booster V as well - though i think it may be a quality on control issue.
Great scooter. It just didn’t win these particular categories. I love it for ride quality, build quality and for being easy to ride very fast. But it’s not the fastest, longest range etc. but an awesome all arounder for such a fast scooter. I feel like they may be closing them out forever if they’re selling them at that price. So I’m guessing that model might be gone soon. This is only my speculation though. They haven’t said anything like that to me. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I have a feeling a lot of those scooters will be closed out. I love my GT2 and think it's right there with the others, but these big scooters are a tough sell. Mine is fun and I live where I can move it around, so it's manageable. For now.
The neck innovation of the gt2 does not get enough credit. The stability of the GT2 is amazing given 90 percent of the other scooter in the market. Safety needs to be a prime criteria in the 2024 testing, not speed or distance.
It’s an amazing scooter. It’s just the way the categories fell this year. We were less performance focused and expanded to broader categories. Looking back, it should have been on the list. -Paul
For the teverun Fighter Supreme, is it the 7260r model or the new updated ultra model? I'm looking to purchase the ultra model and I'm hoping you guys review the ultra model as it has a much better water rating and has a better stem and everything else
I just reached out to ask which one we’re getting and the answer wasn’t clear. I’m hoping the latest and fastest version is what comes. Alienrides is working on getting it to us. -Paul
I received mine last week and rode for 400 km so far and rode at speed 2 at 71 km/hr and beside adjusting the suspension and balancing the wheels all is great so far. No high speed wobble on that one . Yes it is with 11 inch city tires. The fighter Supreme Ultra 7260 .
Great to hear! I balanced the tires on the RX7 for the speed run. I'm really looking forward to testing the Teverun 7260 Fighter Supreme, or whichever version Alienrides sends to us. -Paul
Dualtron desperately needs to fix their high power scooters wrt throttle response and how power is split between the wheels. Spinning the front is not the fasting way to accelerate. Also, removing the wonderfully large "eco" button from the original Thunder has me scratching my head. It's like they don't ride/use their own scooters.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I don't know if they fixed the throttle response on the T3, but it doesn't matter because they made the eco setting inaccessible while riding.
Great scooters! Honestly it’s a matter of taste and having the right award category when you get to this level of scooter. I love the RS and chose it as my race scooter last fall at Riderfest. It might be the best looking and most flexible scooter out there for ride height handlebar height etc. -Paul
Wow, what perfect timing, y'all posted this right when I was looking into buying a scooter, thanks! I'm a pretty tall guy, so I'm really glad y'all posted some for heavier people ❤
Me too. I got to race Kevin from Alienrides at Rider Fest 2023. He was on the K6 and I believe I was on the Inmotion RS. The part I remember clearly was him leaving me in the dust! -Paul
First year scooter user here. Do you have any riding data on what the final odometer reading will likely be? Or are scooters to new for that info? I just wonder approximately how many miles I'll get from my MaxG2.
You should be able to get about 10,000 miles or more out of the battery. The first model, the G30 was known to sometimes use up the front wheel bearings, but that might be rain-riding related. Steep hills for long periods of time can sometimes damage controllers or motor wires, but they have gotten better at sensing this and turning down the power when needed. Tires wear out in 1000 to 3000 miles depending on how hard you use the brakes. -Paul
Awesome! I'm close to 1000 miles, and the scooter is still going strong. I think it would be a good topic to cover in a video. Or maybe you did already?
That's awesome you've ridden your Ninebot Max G2 so much already. We might need your help in making a long term review. We have so many scooters to ride that most of our electric scooters end up having about 100 miles on them. -Paul
@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I have two ninebot max G2 and one kqi3 max scooters. First max G2 is around 850 miles, and the second is around 150. The third scooter is around 600km. I'm logging maximum mileage this summer before I get a 40+ mph scooter next year. I'll keep you updated.
So I got my first e scooter 3 weeks ago I bought two g2max segways so glad I started on them they are gorgeous they take any drop jump I’ve thrown at it speed is perfect at 22 on the dash at full charge only dives to 20 mph at medium charge and it does wheelies. Super sturdy app interface is amazing I now own a nanrobot n6 72v with the 50 mph top speed it’s awesome definently needs the damper but I’m in love thinking next will be the roadrunner rx7 ! Love these things
You know, we still haven't tested the Varla Eagle One (neither version) at Electric Scooter Guide. We really should give it a proper test and review. Mitchell and Varla go way back. -Paul
Sorry to hear about your Nanrobot electric scooter failing on you. Did it sit for a long time with low charge, or was it in regular daily use and then stopped going? Glad. you're liking. your ETWOW GT! (for those reading this comment it's very similar to the the U-Scooters GT Sport and Fluid Mosquito electric scooters mentioned in the review. -Paul

Nanrobot has only ever sent us one scooter. Their distribution in the USA kind of comes and goes. I feel like it could be a good brand but we just haven’t tested them, so we can’t say for sure what their scooters do well or don’t do well. -Paul

Unfortunately Nanrobot distribution in the US seems to come and go, so we've never had good access to their scooters. Since we haven't tested them we don't know their true performance numbers and can't include them on the list. Thanks for letting me know about this one. I haven't heard of their C1. The design looks pretty cool. I'll go read more about it. -Paul
Cool video as always, never seen you test any iENYRID scooters and would be nice to see what you think...yea of course they don't compare to higher class scooters but are affordable and offer good specs, I have the ienyrid M4Pro S+ it does 28mph 330lbs max user....is my first scooter and if I do buy another it seems I will have to upgrade in a few features and pay alot more, unless I get a good deal...hope you test them
Thank you so much for your suggestion. I love hearing about new brands. I'll look them up. Typically if we haven't tested a scooter it's because they don't have full distribution in the US or aren't selling enough of them here for them to want to reach out to us and send us a scooter for testing. -Paul
Thanks for the suggestion. We haven't tested any of their electric scooters, unfortunately. Hopefully they'll reach out to us. In the mean time I'll look them up. -Paul
It’s a great scooter. It just didn’t win in these particular categories. There are things it does best though. It’s a very quick scooter that’s easy to ride at car-like speeds. It’s not the fastest, and doesn’t have the longest range, but it’s very high quality and I like riding it. We have one. -Paul
My son has this scooter, which I like to classify as a comfortable commuter. Being a single motor but still high quality scooter, it struggles a bit on high grade hills.
I just bought a Mantis King GT as my first scooter. I loved everything about it until the front suspension snapped in half after 35 miles. The return process was awful through fluidfreeride. I wouldn't count on it as the best offroad scooter tbh.... im currently looking for something else
That sucks bro.I wanted that scooter and found out someone else bought them, not sure who and the customer service went totally down hill.I just got a RS5 max and they are out of Denver CO and the have excellent customer service.Did you get hurt cuz that would be effed up while riding?I have not ridden it yet but will this weekend.Just an opinion.
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide the metal inside part of the front suspension inside of the shock somehow snapped in half. It's the part attached to the rebound adjustment. Im a larger guy, 6'2'' 230 lbs. I wasnt even riding it hard. Luckily i inspected everything after the first day and noticed the suspension wasn't right, it could have been very dangerous tbh. I'm very close to trying a Wolf king GT pro but im a little worried about Kaabo after this experience.
@@loum5143 i got really lucky and caught it after the ride, it somehow stayed somewhat together until i took the weight off of it, then it completely fell apart. Ill check out the rs5, thx for the rec.
Last year we started the list with the cheapest electric scooters, this year we started with the fastest electric scooters, which are a lot more expensive. We have a $299 Segway Ninebot in this video too, it's the E2 Plus. Last year we had the Dualtron X limited in here which was close to $7,000! Whew! -Paul
I put PMT tires on my Mantis King GT and it's now a real street monster. Love this scooter. I have a 3 year old Emove Cruiser as well so I'm really looking forward to seeing the new model. ESG is by far my favorite RU-vid channel. Thank you guys.
Thank you so much! I love hearing about your PMT experience. It absolutely transforms the ride doesn't it? Question for you. Did your range change when you put them on. I'm curious if the softer sidewalls (awesome ride quality though) and lower pressures result in significantly reduced range. I tested a scooter with them recently and the range was lower than I expected for the size of the battery. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide No Paul the range remained the same, maybe even a little better than with the knobby tires it came with. It transformed the handling of the scooter.
Please testing Aovopro Esmax! Im bulying only 308$ (with coupon discount)with free shipping. Range 45 Km, max speed 35 km, weight 23.7 kg, motor 500w. Dual suspension.
Thanks for the suggestion! We haven't tested any from that brand yet, but I appreciate the heads-up. All of the specs you'll typically see are for "maximum" range. At that price the typical range we see out of all electric scooters is 16km. -Paul
Great question! Though some scooters claim to go that far, none of the 166 scooters we've tested have gone that far. The longest range we ever tested was 86.4 miles on the Dualtron X Limited. You can search all of our range data for all of the electric scooters we've tested with the ESG ride finder. electricscooterguide.com/electric-scooter-guide-ride-finder/ -Paul
After owning 3 different NanRobots (the D5+2.0 was my fav), I’ve gotta say that my first Dualtron solidified where my heart is at. I know…paying for the brand. But I LOVE them. They always should be considered…if just to acknowledge they’re craftsmanship and tenure😢
Great feedback thank you. We received three Dualtron scooters yesterday and are looking forward to getting our Dualtron coverage moving again after about a year of not being able to get the scooters! (I don't know if you made it that far into the video, but we talk about it at the very end) -Paul
NIU KQi2 Pro or Ninebot KickScooter F2 Pro e? I am 185 cm tall and weigh 65 kg. I need a scooter to get to work (one way, 1.6 km). I will ride on asphalt and on a 20-degree slope. Sometimes there is off-road. The range and speed are important to me. I live in Ukraine, so not all scooter models are available for purchase here. But I will listen to your alternatives. I've used scooters before, but I didn't have my own. I care a lot about the things I buy, but I still want something that will last me for a long period of time.
It's always tough picking winners. The GX3 is great, but the Mantis is a bit more tunable for throttle response so you can set it up to be aggressive or ultra smooth in the dirt. For Mantis King GT vs RoadRunner: In the dirt, I like lighter weight in case you crash down the side of a hill and the tested weight of the Mantis King GT is 14 lbs less than the RS5 Max. The RS5 Max does have a higher rider weight capacity though. -Paul
There’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time! I wasn’t aware they were still making the Skywalker scooters. I don’t think they’re available in the USA, but I could be wrong. We used to have a Skywalker 10S. Interesting scooter. -Paul
Just bought a segway ninebot e2 pro for its extra torque on hills and while its exactly what i was looking for ive noticed it has almost no reviews despite being a significant upgrade to an already loved model. Any plans to do a review on it at some point?
Check out our review of the EQ! It’s a slightly higher spec version of the P1 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T6r8OWzBr0k.htmlsi=sCwg_seo4H0Sy4eo -Paul

My commute elevational change is 1,000 ft. My max personal speed is 35 and 20 miles of my commute is rural bussing… so, small enough to go on bus; 30-40% grades.
That's an amazing hill climb on an electric scooter! Most of our range tests actually have more climb than that ,by the way! We climb 92 feet of hills per lap and our laps are 1.6 miles so a 16 mile range scooter has to climb 920 feet during our range test (but it also gets to go back down during that 16 miles, so it's nothing like climbing one-way. Wow! 30% to 40% grade is super steep. The steepest hill in San Francisco is about 32.5% -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide my biggest problem is a 5 mile 400ft end of my day climb from the bus stop. Right now im using a 1000w peak eBike 2017 but a 15 mile loop decimates the ride ability that last climb. So, Bus & uber safe (priority one); the “Last Mile Hill climb… Also, what do few videos mention battery chemistry & number of charges?
What do you have to say about the reddit electric scooters community which has almost 100,000 members, that doesn't recommend apolo scooters at all? Story after story of bad customer service and scooters breaking.
In our opinion is people hide behind usernames and bash brands. When a brand sells 100,000 scooters and does have growing pains and lessons like most brands do , people mostly like to amplify the negative experiences and not the positive ones. In the beginning of apollos company they sold scooters that were OEM scooters and just rebranded them like rest of industry but the Apollo city , Apollo pro , Apollo air and Apollo go are all designed and made in house by Apollo. Most of the negativity towards Apollo as a brand is negative experiences from years back before they started making their own scooters.
Some BURN-E’s seem to have more damping than others. I borrowed the shocks from our first gen model to stuff on the Inmotion RS when I raced it at Riderfest. -Paul
@@ESG-ElectricScooterGuide I can't get it right no matter what I do. It resonates at high speed. Thinking of replacing with rockshox monarch or just moving on to something else.
Take with a grain of salt as it's a small sample size... but I don't think NIU should be only any reliability list. Friends with them are always having issues from bad firmware releases to overheating and tire problems. Doesn't sound like support is great either.
Thanks so much for the feedback. I'll keep my ear out for more. I agree with you on the early versions of the firmware sometimes being wonky. I feel like it got much better on the KQi2 Pro and KQi3 Pro, but were there bad releases later? I might have missed those updates. -Paul
I’ve built and rode every type of pev but a scooter somehow except a scooter. Crazy I’ve never touched one when I’d argue they’re probably the most convenient and practical size/skill requirement/performance wise. So many options compared to others so nice comprehensive list! Imagine how many hours went into testing all of these! They’re also pretty spooky since they make up a questionable amount of ER visits lately. This is coming from a dude who’s fractured his skull on a regular trick board before building 50mph eboards lol.
I think the number one mistake people make (myself included.... multiple times because I apparently don't learn from my mistakes) is riding one handed. Motorcycle one-handed? No problem! Bicycle one-handed.... all day long. Scooter one-handed.... 3, 2, 1.... crash! I'll bet 80% of scooter injuries are from riding one handed (I don't actually have the stats though). -Paul
Soon to be available in 2024 is the new e-TWOW TankTorq TK5. Hope to see a review of it on this channel. e-TWOW is the maker of Uscooters and the Fluid Mosquito. It looks to be an ultra-high performance scooter that weighs significantly less than its peers.
