LSU Football Fall Camp - Practice No. 4
LSU continued fall camp practices on Monday afternoon after a recovery day on Sunday. The media was able to watch the full practice and take notes, but only able to record the first 15 minutes. Here are my notes and takeaways from practice No. 4 for LSU.

Ashton Stamps added another INT on Garrett Nussmeier. He’s been dominant.
Ka’Morreun Pimpton (TE) with a big day.
PJ Woodland + JK Johnson at 2nd Team CB.
Kylin Jackson + DaShawn Spears at 2nd Team S.
Chris Hilton impressed again.
Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers returned to the practice field on Monday morning for Day 4 of Fall Camp in Baton Rouge.
LSU is beginning to see rotations emerge on offense with the defense still working through a few different combinations coming into the fourth practice.
Position battles that will crank up in week two of LSU fall camp
After two days of practices in blistering heat, the intensity only grows for LSU football in week two of fall camp.
The Tigers are in the midst of a recovery day but with practices five days of the week starting Monday, the competition will heat up at several positions of intrigue. The pads are set to come on this week, which will add another layer of intrigue as more contact work starts to be worked in.
Let's dive in on more of what we hope to learn in week two as LSU continues its fall camp surge towards that Sept. 1 opener against USC.
College football rankings: Coaches Poll Top 25 released for 2024 season
College football's preseason Coaches Poll for the 2024 is out, and program leaders across the country provided an early look at expanded playoff contenders. The SEC and Big Ten dominated the new top-25 rankings with several of the league's newcomers taking up spots in the rankings, including Texas, Oregon and Oklahoma.
Georgia earned preseason No. 1 status with 46 first-place votes, which is not necessarily a good omen for the Bulldogs. Alabama is the last preseason No. 1 in the Coaches Poll to win a national championship, doing so in 2017. Last season's preseason top team, Georgia, went unbeaten during the regular season before losing to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship and missing the playoff.
