The guy who "shreds his punk rock sound in a garage band with his friends every night" was actually a semi finalist of The Voice of Germany 2018 and as well of The Voice of Germany Allstars 2020. He DOES however sing a lot of (classic) rock. :)

I know this sounds weird but I wish Bob's Burgers would have done this in one of their episodes considering how much singing there is in that show. It'd be funny to hear all the different characters singing the different parts.

Holding the "Yaaa" with a vocoder (I assume...that's what it sounded like) was brilliant.

That whistle tone was downright amazing. Did you hear that slide on “you”?! It’s generally difficult to slide and sound good in regular registers, and she nailed it in a whistle tone. I’m more impressed the more I think about it. And she’s so clean that she’s almost singing staccato…man I’d love to jam with her. I could hardly get past the pitchiness of that first part in the last one to hear how the rest sounded, but I agree, around part 6 or 7 it was covered up enough to enjoy the final bit.

I'm sure you don't need any ideas for videos, but a really cool thing for you to check out (and make a video on if you want) are Matt McGuire's drum covers. Hes the drummer for The Chainsmokers and has some absolutely amazing drum covers (check out his cover of Without Me by Halsey - so good.)

Please do a reaction video to original studio version of "you take my breath away" by queen. I'm pretty sure all the voices on it are Freddie mercury multi tracking himself (just like the harmony at the start of borap is all Freddie). Speaking of Freddie, my favorite Freddie "growl" is the whiffenpoofs version from the sing off. Even Mika disappoints on the "Freddie ".

Most ASD folks would have failed that drum exercise becuase they're pre-occupied with waiting for a million ways to change up or add complexity to the exercise out of boredom. source: happend to me, and argued it's not an applied exercise.

The first one was good apart from the fact that she cut off each note/lyric. She never held them out and it kinda triggered me

I had never heard of this song until running across the video (by complete chance) of Ryan Reynolds and Will Ferrell doing this challenge the other day. I then had to check and see if it was an actual song. Unfortunately, i think the best part of the song is what people do in the challenge. And its better in these videos than in the original recording by Mika. Granted this is just my opinion but, I was disappointed with how it sounds in the original recording.

Really great to listen to your comments. So if your are fond of drummers, what about beat boxers? If you want to listen to a really great one, complemented with great harmony, maybe you want to give Home Free a try. To stay with challenges I recommend the sea shanty medlay. But be careful, you easily can go lost in the world of Home Free.

I watched all three parts in a row because of how great this is. I like seeing your opinions on these people as well as the people performing it themselves and I love seeing their takes on the challenge. I did see a youtube short of MIKA by Scott leger Horn, I personally liked it.

This is by far my favorite challenge to view. Here's hoping for a part four!

I hear ya man. I think I have rhythm and timing, but drumming is another world. You have to be so good at multitasking and splitting focus. Some drummers are absolutely incredible with what they can accomplish

Honestly? I love the dissonance that shows up when a few parts sing the same notes for a bit. It draws me back into the moment if I start losing focus because I've heard roughlythe same thing a few times in a row. ...Then again, I'm still coming down from a free jazz phase I've been in for a few months, so that's probably affecting my taste on this a bit.

I would love to see someone do a version of this with Happy Ending, because I think it could have even more parts: - 1 = Little Bit Of Love - Bass + Maraca/Shaker - 2 = Little Bit Of Love - Baritone - 3 = Little Bit Of Love - Tenor - 4 = Little Bit Of Love - Single Note - 5 & 6 = Happy Ending Chorus + Strings - 7 & 8 = Falsetto Bridge

For the last group, yes they created dissonance and I love it. It adds excitement. What do you mean back to back? Do you mean two notes next to each other? Again I love it.

17:11 Hilarious. But totally agree… that challenge was making me cringe a little. But pretty much by the 7th progression it faded out and was mostly gone by the 8th. (Which is maybe why they added that last one)

The first girl really did hit the keys right in the super high pitch one, those high pitches usually really hurt my ears since I am extemely sensetive but here I did not hurt at all since it wasnt just a high noice it was actual singing. She did quite great.
