American history and #railroadhistory are forever linked. We drive past a static display of a vintage #steamlocomotive-- the 2-8-2 'Mikado -- almost every day. As we deep dived in the history of the old Texas and New Orleans #771, we learned this style of locomotive transported people and freight across #Texas and our Nation. This #steamlocomotive is on display in #GrapevineTx. Our goal at Museums of the Heartland is to continue finding and presenting the stories of our Nation's heritage.
