Yeah and the refs had to screw them no disrespect to the lakers but the refs screwed the kings that series they should've won it with the way they played
@@kendlehill1445 But the Kings still had to make a few more plays to win either Games 4, 6, or 7 of the 2002 WCF and they didn't when they lost all three.
I remember this game like yesterday. Growing up as a Kings fan and being used to losing year after year, few might understand how surreal it was to see them get this close to the NBA finals. Unfortunately the rest of the series was heartbreaking as I felt the Kings outplayed the Lakers in this series and deserved to win, oh well..
@@TV-ob1if bullshit. Jackson got flat out coached this series by adelman. No way cwebb and bibby should’ve went toe to toe with Kobe and shaq. Everyone talks about game 6 but go look back at game 4. The kings had a 20+ lead and next thing you know shaq was at the free throw line every minute and he decides to become Dirk all of a sudden. The Lakers had a better team top to bottom if you look at how injured Sacramento was. You add all that to the ref literally admitting malfeasance and you have a rigged series unfortunately and it saved a lot of legacies for the lakers
@@mattkhanna here is a tissue for your issues. You crybabies forget that the players still have to make plays and there’s always always an excuse losers make for failure- always.
I remember being hype after this game it's not too many Kings fans here in Philly so making it to WCF and going for blood against the Lakers was everything to me this series still breaks my heart damn...
my favorite NBA player, this dude was my favorite guy when I was younger, LAL and the refs screwed the Kings over, but this was my main dude right here.
That was an illegal moving screen from Webber. Offensive foul on Webber no call. Webber was the last guy to touch the ball when it went out of bounds at 11.4 seconds, not shown in this video. Say Fisher flopped... Hell Vlade fraudulent ass was flopping the whole series...
Mannie Supa Sport bruh your team won and you still gonna pick fights and you can clearly see that Webber’s feet where planted and he moved when Derek Fisher flew right into him lol
I'm a Lakers Fan, but I have to admit the 2002 Kings outplayed us. I saw the elbow Kobe hit Bibby with. I also know one of the refs I think his name is Donaghy robbed you of the series. I still think you guys let Game 4, and 7 slip away. I really wanted you guys to win after the Lakers, were eliminated in the 2003 Semi-Finals. Unfortunately you lost Game 7 to the Timberwolves. After that the team started getting broken up. That 2002 Kings squad scared me. Much props for giving us hell. It sucks on how, a dirty ref tainted the series. I hope you guys, get some chemistry together, and make another run. One!
Greatest sporting event I have ever seen in person. People swinging cowbells the size of bowling balls. Couldn’t even hear yourself scream. It was a travesty that series was officiated by Tim. The kings were the better team that series and deserved to win and go on to win the title. I’ll always remember that game winner by Bibby.
Why nobody talk about the refs this game? Webber with illegal screen on Fisher for Bibby to hit the game winner. Or Bobby Jackson grabbing Kobe's jersey on the last shot. If refs were for lakers either one of those should have been called.
Biggest robbery in the HISTORY OF SPORTS is what happened to the 02 Kings. If they won this series as they should’ve, if it weren’t for the Zebras then stayed healthy; I believe they could’ve gone back to back. They moved the ball with such beauty, and an ELITE 3/D guy in a Christie, had a top tier scorer and the best 3 point shooter in Peja, a top tier PG who could lead a team and score as well as close the game. They also had two elite post up options; Webber could do it all and when he was healthy he was a 25/11/5 guy (ELITE) and Vlade who was a complete center. Oh and they had a lot of depth, lead by two double digit scorers in Bobby Jackson and a young Hedo, either could score 20 a game if needed. Also had Pollard who was a damn good post defender and rebounder. (Young Gerald Wallace too) A travesty. They were complete and a legit 8-9 players deep and had far more top to bottom talent than the Lakers. Except the Lakers had the three biggest stars in the series.. Steve Javie, Donaghy, and Joey Crawford. **Conor McGregor voice FOOK THE NBA
What people don't understand Tim Donaghy didn't ref the game six of the wcf 2002 he said that he knew that the league wanted a game 7 of that series so game 6 was ref.. to make sure game 7 was going to happen it was the last year of the NBA on nbc and the rights to broadcast NBA was coming up the higher the ratings the more money the NBA would get so they screwed the kings to make a game 7... because the east was awful that year they knew the best series was the kings vs lakers that year
I know the Refs screw the Kings but do you guys think they would beat the Nets as well? Nets were a tougher team than you think. Especially with one of the best PG's in the history of the game.
Well if you really think about it the Lakers swept the Nets and the Kings deserved to beat the Lakers in game 6 so technically the nets would get an even worse beating, but you never know maybe the nets would have a easier time playing against the kings play style idk.
The time I lost respect for the lakers and the refs. Absolute disgrace to the game of basketball. Sacramento got screwed by the refs big time in this series.
@@Heroicenemy You can blame Lebron James and Chris Webber choking in the 4th qtr in the 2002 WCF and 2011 NBA finals for the reason Bibby doesn’t have a ring.
Such a beautiful series, shame game 6 was fixed, but laker won game 7 fair. I seriously believe king's win game six to advance to the finials but wasnt to be
Lifelong laker fan here... Sac was clearly the better team in this series... Very entertaining and stressful 7 game series.. Seems Buss paid up and bought out the series... Let's be honest... No one wanted a sac / NJ. Finals series...
Ball goes off Webber, gets awarded to the Kings. Webber commits blatant offensive foul on hip check/moving screen, no call. Bobby Jackson literally pulls Kobe's jersey out of his shorts, no call. But yeah, the league was rigged against you. Bottom line is, you had Game 7 on your home court and you couldn't get it done. Period. Forever the Sacramento Queens.
