Loved watching this. Class video. Antz, I swear you got a little nervous when he booted it a little. 😂 you really don’t like being a passenger. Getting 2024 off to a real good start with this one.
I got this car on my birthday and so pleased with it .the look on people's face when it fires up.its priceless. My brother son and good friend neal have drove it and the groans and c..e faces to the growl is brilliant to see .they're all on ebay looking at alfas now 😅 Owned a busso before but in lancia kappa saloon guise .different altogether.thanks guys
The V6 Busso actually is swan song of the brand ! Amazing engine. I own 1988 rare 75 / Milano V6 2.5 Automatic ZF as well 1987 Alfa 90 2.0 V6 Iniezione FIVA certified .
I love your enthusiasm for Italian cars. You get it. They are pedigrees. You won't hear a bad word about them and I love that. Every car I owned was Italian until I got married..oh dear.
Been looking forward to seeing my old Alfa GT after being sorted 😎 Looking and sounding as awesome as I remember it.... great work Antz and Co 💪🏻🇮🇹🩵 btw I did change both banks of Spark plugs and coil packs 😉 I've also been in touch with the new owner and he is an Alfa nut, so has gone on to great home too 😎🙏
Glad I bought it before this before the video came out ....well chuffed with it and love the noise .credit to rog for looking after it and ant for selling it me 😊
Yep. There’s nothing like a Busso. I’m on my third now. The GT suspension needs changing though. Running mine on Vogtland Coilovers now, with Eibach ARBs front and back. Match with a set of Pilot Sports and it handles like it’s on rails…!
Lovely cars that will eat you out of house and home if you get a bad one. I got a bad one Coolant leaks, head gaskets, exploding diff that lunches the gearbox, leaks around the drivers footwell, CV joints failing...you bloody name it and I probably experienced it Cost me £11k to buy and keep running for just 4yrs. Sold it for a TT RS. A lot cheaper to run. Less comfortable but better peace of mind.
I have a 2.0 GT blackline with Bertone and I got a rust free one.its black with silver and 18in teledials just waiting to get them refurbished and I've got a kenwood screen with reverse camera and stainless Steel exhaust fitted the rest is original and with the 2.0 16v jts.this is a good car for real driving and will surprise you with the performance of it.I'll also be needing some advice about it leather interior and embroidery on the head rest ect...headlining perfect.you can see the love but sadly I'm losing the power of my knee so I'll be needing a good automatic sadly but I'm also clueless and have been ripped off by so much so I'm asking for help with this as it is a beautiful car.susprisingly quick decent boot three back seats Bertone and a cracking car.thanks lad's. John-paul
Drove one of these in 2004 at the Phillip Island race track on an auto industry day. Never forgot it. Always liked Alfa's but I've finally pulled the trigger on a GT 3.2 now and just picked it up. 2009, 140,000kms, Grey, manual, Q2 diff and with the 18's....its a package alright!!! Exhaust going on soon and cannot wait.
@@autosportivobedford excellent. I love my baby alfa ad the garage call it. For a hatch back It surprises lots of people of the lights! They don't get much youtube coverage :)
From a guy whos also just winged it with Italian things (aprilias) i could tell you had too😂 and fair play because italian cars /bikes are the hardest to work out or on
Bit old school myself. Preferred the earlier V6 RWD models , Alfetta GTV6 , 75 , 90 models. They are all lovely in their own way, but it’s a heavy engine for fwd .
Okay. Need an honest answer. I've owned a GT 3.2, test driven another. Also, I've recently driven a 156 GTA. Despite having the same engine, the GT feels more lively. In addition, the GTs have had the standard exhaust, while the 156s had Wizards. What's going on?
@autosportivobedford I know you love the sound of the Wizard exhaust, but unless you carry out expensive upgrades, I personally believe it drains some of the power. They spend millions on R&D to work at its best on a standard exhaust & standard chip. When I had my GT 3.2 I kept it all factory spec, incl the exhaust. Regardless, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. My current 156 SW 2.0 JTS is precious to me and the family. It's a good compromise if you don't want to spend the expensive insurance of a 3.2.
This video need to be listened to with headphones . I actually turned down a straight swap for my Punto HGT for one of these V6 GT's. Before you all call me mad. The tax in ireland is 1809 euro and the insurance is horrific too
Yes indeed Hamond and Clarckson sayed that the cars thay regret selling the most were 147 V6 and GTV V6 thay had, May saied he regreta the most selling a Ferrari becaus he never driven an Alfa
In the UK you pretty much have free reign as long as it will pass an MOT. So as long as your exhaust has a backbox and meets emissions testing and sound testing your good. Alternatively get a "friendly" mechanic and have it pass no matter what you do to it 🌝🤣🤣
I had a v6 GT and took it on track in Anglesey. Did really well, loads of fun but I did manage to cook the alternator. Now that’s not a job you want to do twice 🫣🤣
