Best high school QB I ever saw in the 60's including Dan Fouts, who went to my school. Mike had a rocket arm and pretty much dismantled every team back in '66. Funny thing is he was bigger than all his linemen almost. He simply picked the wrong college at USC where he never got to play much, seemed they always went with a more option QB and they also had OJ. I would have loved for him to have gone to a "pocket QB" system so we could've really seen him at his best. Turned out great for him obviously , great coach!
Now see mike Holmgren is a legend he is the third coach I think of when naming the best, but this guy might of just jumped up bc he come from humble beginnings, and worked his way up he earned everything, so many coaches and assistant coaches today are guys that there fathers buddy is friend's with a owner.
