I heard Mike Huckaby for the first on the San Francisco Calling CD. It was 2001!! There were no widespread internet, mp3 and etc. There was a time, when each disc was hard and not easy to get) but how much joy there was from listening later! Not like now - when there is everything! In general, I heard the track Charles Spencer & Mike Huckaby - Grace. Great mix of deep and jazzy house, especially that very sudden swing transition in the middle of the track! Fantastic! In those days it helped a lot to see the world brighter and more colorful! I can relate a lot, in The Netherlands we had the store called ‘free record shop’ and ‘plato’ where I easily could spend hours to new tracks and when you bought some singles and cd’s I was feeling like I hit the jackpot 🎶👌🏼
This trumpet rising out of the filter is simply amazing!! It reminds me a bit "suspense/spy" TV series of some sort from the 70's/80's. (Starsky & Hutch, Chips, shaft etc..)
