Mike Keneally - "Time Table" (Genesis cover 1998) 

the best cover of this song! I love the guitar solo.

Time Table for most people is the slowest tune on Foxtrot but with the added "Apocalypse in 9/8" and "Suppers Ready" end passages that fit so well this one tune feels like a mini Foxtrot album on it's own. Like the original very sweet and nice instrumentation but with Mike playing the keyboard dominant songs parts on guitar. Starting like a jazz trio using brushes the recording continues adding harmonic layers for the climatic world is maybe ending..... ending.... Very good.

Wow this is awesome! Very nice rendition of one of Genesis' chillest songs.

I'm really enjoying this version - it's not one of my favorite Genesis songs but you're really brought it to life here.

A bit surprised to see who's the one credited for covering this piece. I've seen Keneally perform with Vai, and am well aware of his strong association with the Zappa family, among his many other contributions to the world of progressive music. Had no idea he was into the Genesis stuff though. The singing kinda makes me imagine Jerry Garcia covering ol' Genesis, lol. Always felt that Time Table was definitely one of their many underrated Gabriel-era tunes. Can-utility was for sure the best though. It's cool to finally hear someone (besides myself for once) double the 9/8 keyboard solo with some high-gain lead guitar!

Better than the original ! In fact, I only like Supper's Ready, from the whole album ...
