Mike needs to be in the next Expendables movie as the bad guy! He could pick up Statham and Stallone by their necks the way Eddie Hall did in their last movie! LOL
Isratel thinks he's the be all end all of weight training advice but it's not true. Isratel has the most obvious PED physique imo. I think Isratel didn't put in enough effort in background research in several videos like the ones with O'Hearn and Brignole.
I've been training for 2 decades, every style of training imagine under some of the best powerlifting coaches in the UK I have recently went back to basics, after some time away from powerlifting. I am back using an old powerbodybuilding program that mike Promoted and I love it! It's pretty basic, but the heavy compounds with a couple of heavier bodybuilding workouts are awesome. I am slowly cutting and blasting through the workouts For any guys who are intermediate or advanced and haven't tried it? Give I a go. Good for strength and size and can be used on a cut or bulk I have quit competing, but will always lift heavy. I am never injured despite being in my 40s and I feel good, recovery is good, bones and tendons are strong
@@Daswaggermasta no interest in competing again, as strength isn't my main focus I'm more into martial arts again and just trying to keep good strength and fitness
It’s good that Mike began to show what, how much and how often he eats, otherwise he had never done this before, now it has become clear that one of the keys to success lies in constant eating
It's amazing to squat that weight at his age. I'm 50 years old. Squatted heavy 30 years. 20 of them 405 for reps every week. Now at 50. 225 is heavy. 12 reps max. My spine just doesn't like to be loaded anymore. His bone, tendon, ligament structure is gold
Nice. I'm in a similar situation at 54. Did deep squats for neary 40 years, but right hi pain finally forced me to stop the back squat and heavy deadlifts. Still not sure what the issue is for sure. I think it has something to do with decreased space between 2 vertebrae in the low back. It mat be arthritis or a bulging disk. Anyway I've been trying to work around it without much luck. Hack squats seemed ok at first, but once I started going heavy I could feel the pain again. Not sure what to do now? I'm thinking maybe try the leg press or lunges. Never really tried them before. As for low back not sure I'd stiff legs, hypers or low back machine would be a decent substitute to reg deads? At least hopefully until the pain goes away if it ever does.
Just do leg press on the machine and leg curls... No need for dead lifts lunges ... Once you hit 50 everything should be for quality of life and looking good .... Being the strongest and the biggest is over it's done
@@raw525 man that sucks. I still had hopes of getting bigger and gaining more mass. Always wanted to at least hit 200 bodyweight natural. Came super close a few times, but the injury bug always hit me when I was lifting heavy. I'm still close now at 194. I think I finally figured out how to lift bodybuilding style instead of power-bodylifting for decades. Added a few more sets and don't go to absolute failure as much and try to feel the muscle and slow down the reps. Sucks it may be too late for me now. Guess I could concentrate on bringing up lagging areas like the outer and upper chest, rear delts and continue to try and get wider lower lats. Another option may be to look into trt. I heard it may help gain some mass, but I've been putting it off as it's not exactly cheap and know once I start, I probably won't want to ever quit.
@@YuhnahmeanFearon Wtf does that mean, what else is there, magic? Now if you just want to do certain exercises or certain ROMs or whatever, nobody says you can't or shouldn't, just admit you're doing them because you like doing them or for variety or whatever. I'm 100% sure Dr. Mike is fine with that and he said so numerous times (like nobody would say OHP is optimal for hypertrophy but it's fun and I believe even Dr. Mike put it in his 10 exercises that he'd do if he was only allowed to do 10).
@gocsa u don't know what u talking about. Old school bodybuilding like what mike does and all the other legends didn't do some bullshit scientific analysis and breakdown every exercise. Arnold never used science the way it is used today . And bodybuilders back then we're way better in every aspect than they are today . So u telling me more people like square head dr mike are breaking down every little thing with science . Yet the ones before were better make it make sense
Two cups a milk is good Perday in two different. You can have two slice a bread today wheat usually. You can also eat a potatoes for a heavy dose of potassium get use to putting no extra spices or sodium. Meat has natural sodium and also bread you need about 1500 or 2000 Mcg of potassium
Mike, on one of your videos can you talk about labs? I am doing low carb/high protein and fight blood pressure issues and noticed cutting carbs eliminates my blood pressure issues. The drawback is I am tired and workouts suffer. Can you share your stats and how you do with eating like you do, are your levels perfect or any tricks to keep them good. I want to get back to carbs but dam is it nice having good pressure all the time, if this was covered previously can you reference the video, thank you Mike.
Going on 50 years of squatting myself, and never once having had an incident where the safety bars were needed for anything, my guess is Mike thinks similarly that they're an unnecessary waste of his time to set those up.
i don't understand why doesn't Mike compete ? i mean he would do amazingly great job in the olympia classic physique category ( if not open physique category because i don't know his weight )
super random, I was just thinking : how many pullups can Mona actually do? and the real question is: how many behind the back pullups- totally curious, she's ripped asf
Come on Mikey you got to show Moana some more props it kills me when you don't say hey baby thanks for cooking this for me it looks awesome it tastes great what would I do without you
DO YOU HAVE ANY CLUE HOW MANY MEALS SHE COOKS FOR HIM PER DAY, SHOULD HE BUY A RECORDER AND HIT PLAY EACH TIME, THINK MC FLY, IT'S HER JOB TO COOK, HE CUTS THE GRASS OR DOES OTHER SHIT AROUND THE HOUSE, I BET SHE DOESN'T SAY, THANK YOU SO MUCH, THAT GRASS WAS SO HIGH, PLEASE
16oz of red meat or any meat for a meal isn’t that much. Y’all keep acting like 16oz in one meal is “omg it’s so much”. Yall live in America the land of over excess. Most people eat 16oz of meat. The issue is they don’t do anything after they eat besides sit on their butts. Calories in calories out is the easiest form of diet.
Legs in 30 min after a lb of beef? Not me haha! I need 2 hours to make sure that shit is DIGESTED! Especially if I'm gonna hit legs 1/10th as hard as Big Mike! Sheesh!
Mike forgot to add that you have to eat like this when on a cycle. A normal muscle builder does not need half this much food each day. Without the juice he would blow up like a ballon. Haaa!!
